Why, do you count box sets as only 1?

That doesn't make any sense.

However, I do have 24 blu-ray TV seasons and a few miscellaneous music and specials.

Don't feel bad. I don't own that many either.

I've seen it done both ways. I prefer to think that one package, whether it houses one movie or 100, is one Blu-ray. I guess by your definition I have way more then I suppose.

Nah, it's cool, I just clearly like movies more than you do.

All of them outside of what I've obtained in the last week. And even those I'm just about through.

You forget, I've been gone for a while.

See, this is my problem with packaging such as the Star Wars set or the Hitchcock set. Movies are their own entity and should have some semblance of their own packaging. Something along the lines of the LOTR extended box set.

So I guess I still consider all of the movies in a set like that as each being an entry into my collection. For the Indy box set, I include it as 3 movies, for example.

With two bonus discs? One with a long string of outtakes and the second with special features?

Amazon's Gold Box Deal of the Day today was the complete Godfather Trilogy on Blu Ray for a total of $17.99. That was just too good a deal to pass up, so I ordered me a copy.

Interesting. However, I already have the first film and I kicked the other two out of my collection.

Too bad only 2 of the discs are worth owning.

alright a little question for you guys, what do you use to 'show' your blu rays? like what stands do you use, is it a cabinet, etc. i have to find something to put my blu rays and dvd cases in, was looking at various towers on amazon but not sure if they are worth it.

but now i just have stacks of blu rays, ps3 games, and xbox games that i really need to organize and put away.

what do you guys use, and any recommendations?

I use a vertical rack, but I don't recommend it. There's only a few spaces for something that's thicker than your average movie box. Also, there's all that wasted space between the movies (and behind the rack) that you wouldn't have in a simple bookcase.

I have a couple, actually, and both are pretty solid. I got a black one at Target about a year ago (so it might still be available) that holds quite a bit.
