I figured it out about what's not quite right in Denver. When watching the Broncos make the SB 3 times with Elway in the 1980's, we had Dan Reeves as the head coach and Sammy Winder as the running back. Neither were really great at what they did, but they were good enough. We didn't have a running game that was worthy of keeping teams honest, we had Elway and the 3 amigos. It was too one-dimensional on offense and we got destroyed in the Super Bowl 3 times because of this. The reason we won the last 2 we were in was because of Terrell Davis. We don't have a real featured back again, but we have a solid passing game. This is very reminiscent of the 1980's SB teams. I kind of hope we don't go this year and focus on building our running game to compliment Manning next year. I'm worried about too much hype at this point. We're just not complete yet IMO.

So it's because you don't have Shanny right?

All you need to know is Shanny's record post-Elway. There's your answer.

Done. One of the more frustrating Steeler seasons.

My hate for Wisconsin continues to grow.

Considering where Manning was a year ago I think Denver fans should be happy. As for Steelers fans there is no real excuse how bad we have played this year other then Haleys animic Offense has to go.

There's quite a few problems with the Steelers. Not sure if it's Ben's ego or Haley's offense really is that bad.

Look at the Chiefs when he was there yeah they had one good season. I think we should put our draft pick in a quality RB in first pick then a better back up in our second draft pick.

I was hoping Ronnie Hillman would turn out to be a Jamal Charles type, smaller in stature but fast and elusive. Just hasn't happened yet. Needs some time to develop. He is the youngest player in the NFL after all.

Any takers on Tebow's next destination? Seems the obvious one will be Jacksonville, but will he stay there or is he never going to make it as a starter anywhere in the league?

Seriously have no idea what the Jets gameplan was for Tebow. Funny how Ryan was saying they would be in the SB this year. lol

Tebow couldn't have played worse then Sanchez in my view.

So last week clearly the game plan for the offense was limited in what Shanahan wanted to do. This week both he and RG3 are saying they are going back to what we are known to doing. Good luck Dallas.

But honestly such a big game. I can't wait for Sunday night. I expect Fedex to be the loudest it has ever been.

The one thing I am happy about with the Steelers being out of the playoffs is that it gives me time to focus on other things, i.e. - my career.

I know this is silly but I Think No Hinds Ward effected the team. I think Ward was really the heart of the Offense. What I mean is Hinds made allot of Blocks and was a emotional leader. I think he kinda ran the WR on the field like Clark calls defensive plays.
The Steelers played heartless and gutless to me all season long.

They don't have a super bowl if the steelers aren't in it, right?

I'd be OK with the Packers facing them.

Yeah, and I remember everyone calling Mike dumb for making that move. I'll admit I was confused by it too but it sure has panned out.

And as I said several weeks ago - the Bears were a paper team becoming only the second team in NFL history to start 7-1 and miss the playoffs. Sad that Peterson came so close and only missed it by 9 yards. Can't wait for the playoffs.
