3. Point post: so many ideas, so little time!
You're forgetting about milk for the latose intolerant. I'm watching tru tv and they're discussing videos of people making asses of themselves. I just saw a lady painting with her tit-tatters. I've found my calling. I'll call it breAsRT Lastly, I had an interesting exchange with a gentleman in the parking lot at the grocery store. Noticing he was parked in the fire lane I got his attention and asked him if he was on fire. He stated no, and was just waiting for his wife to get groceries. I then asked him if his wife was on fire and he made a snarky comment about my concern for the shoppers in the store HEAVEN FORBID a fire break out and trucks need to park in that lane. Then we both wished each other a sarcastic merry christmas and I drove off. |

I watched the Jim Carey Disney version of A Christmas Carol the other night - pretty interesting interpretation, especially the second and third ghosts - loved that shadow effect. I didn't really care for the many uses of Carey's face though - they should have hired different actors instead of using the same ones for different roles

Holy crap it won't stop snowing!!! I hate Michigan so Much right now.
Last week we had pretty high strong winds, and in the middle of the Night I heard a crash. And I woke up and thought wow it's so windy it sounded like a tree fell, woke up the next morning to find this. ![]() This morning we finally got around to getting a chainsaw and cutting it to pieces, only to be hit with a blizzard and it looks like this. Sigh... ![]() That was taken 2 hrs ago... Now we can't even see the wood we cut up...

The second pic looks like my town right now. I went to see Django Unchained tonight and the roads were a mess. Thank god I'm a badass canadian and it was late at night so the roads were deserted. I could have died like four times in the ten minute drive to the theatre, yikes.
On the topic of Django: say what you will about Tarantino but that man makes a damn fun movie. I absolutely loved it. Although, as usual with his movies, I'm also a little traumatized.

It was. I did several years ago when I was last here. Answered phones that time. Sometimes kids would literally drop the phone and run for bed if Santa was close.

Something about the review didn't add up, I think. It was closed before people jumped to conclusions, I guess.

You too, huh? Headaches, chest congestion and body aches for me.
Been that way since the day before Christmas. What a crappy holiday.

Take Vitamin C (the powder), then some NyQuil (or DayQuil, depending on the time of day). You'll be good to go.

Doc gave some antibiotics, so I took that, some Mucinex and NyQuil last night. Still got a killer headache, but I don't feel as horrible as I did on Christmas, so that's a plus. I just need more rest, I keep finding myself awake and unable to get back to sleep again.

There is zero science to back up the vitamin c recommendation. That said I always do it myself if I feel a cold coming on.

I seem to remember growing up that in the days after Christmas the stores were more lenient on returns for items without a receipt. Now it seems like that's totally changed, nobody I've talked to will offer ANYTHING. Even Wal Mart, which sells the item and is usually known for being more lenient, won't take it back because it's too expensive. Come on, it's the days following Christmas, doesn't it make sense that people wouldn't all have receipts because they don't want their relatives to know they're returning it?
The only place even offering store credit is RadioShack, but I don't need 130 bucks worth of store credit at RadioShack, there's nothing they sell there that I'm interested in.

i never understood how people could return items so easily myself... never could ask for a receipt from family. but i just make it not awkward and tell them to not buy me big things, only small things, so if i don't like it, it wasn't like they spent a lot of money on it anyway. i always make sure to ask people what they want for xmas though.
edward douglas is a terrible film critic.
