The end is coming, those crazy Mayans were right. The world begins to crash and crumble around you, scores lay dead in the streets, the power fails, electronic devices no longer work, the only thing that lay between you and the end is time... but fortunately, time enough to watch just one movie before you die! You pull out your generator, hook up your blu-ray player and TV, and pull out the last movie you will ever watch.
NAME THAT MOVIE AND TELL US WHY??? Movie Title: Your First Time: Why This Movie: EDIT: I'm tweeking my why, and will post my choice in a bit!

Movie Title: The Cure For Insomnia
Your First Time: Never seen it before Why This Movie: At 87 hours it's the longest film ever made giving me that much more time to enjoy time with my wife and son... and as an added bonus we'll all be asleep when the end comes.

Movie Title: Shichinin no Samurai (Seven Samurai) - 1954
Your First Time: I was nine years old when I first saw this beautiful gem. I even remember the setting. There was a storm outside and my dad was off for the weekend. He was a big fan of Samurai movies and would always watch the local asian channel. One day I came to the living room while he was about half way through Seven Samurai and decided to watch the rest with him. I thought the Samurai were awesome and the ending battle epic. As I grew older, I began watching more and more asian films and it wasn't until the internet did I realize that a lot of the films I liked were done by the same director, Akira Kurosawa. lol. Talk about a pleasant surprise. Why This Movie: There is so much I could say as to the "why", but I'll keep it short. The story is very incredibly intriguing to say the least, and keeps you invested from start to finish. It also helps to have a stellar cast portraying some of the most memorable characters I've ever seen on-screen. Till this day, I still use certain Seven Samurai characters to compare to modern characters. "You know who he reminds me of?" And though it's just black & white, the cinematography is excellent. You really feel the settings, the towns, the village, the bandit camp, etc... And finally; The Battle. I won't even go into detail here, just see it for yourself and enjoy.

Really? It's not about the last movie you watched, it's about the last movie you'd "want" to watch. lol.

Movie Title:Home Alone
Your First Time:Saw it for the first time when I was like 8 years old. Why This Movie:Probably would be my last movie because it always reminds me of the good times with my family. The sound track is amazing and in the end, Kevin gets his wish, which makes sense to me in that I'd be wishing the end wasn't actually here. lol BTW, cool thread idea Tolk.
