Agreed with everything except that the Rock sucked just as bad as every Michael Bay film sucks. Then again I have never been overly impressed by explosions, bullets and vacuous one-liners so...

I tried my damnedest to watch the Transformers movie but every time I get as far as the dogs breaking the freaking ship anchor chains to chase whatshisname and I cannot stomach any more. The first time I tried watching I was like "Well this is pretty predictable and stupid so far and so help me if there is a scene coming where a big dog breaks a thick tow chain I am turning this crap off...". Then sure enough...

So is everyone obligated to like a certain percentage of crappy films or be insulted by you...or is it just me? Was I wrong in any of my assessments and if so, where and why? You see talking tough from behind your keyboard because people more intelligent than you do not enjoy the same formula crap you do does not constitute a rebuttal.

But to answer your question, yes there are many movies I like. I even like some bad movies(for various reasons). I just do not like mediocrity that cannot be excused because of budget considerations(like Ed Wood's films could be...and they were at least so bad as to be funny. Michale Bay's movies are just bad!).

If for nothing else because his films reach a much larger audience than Boll or Wood's craptacular dreck. Michael Bay's films have made billions of dollars. Armageddon alone earned 553,709,788 worldwide. So, am I being unfair? You might say that if a movie can amass that much revenue it's fine because people really seem to enjoy it. But does that make it good? Millions of people worldwide also enjoy heroin and dog fighting and you wouldn't say those things are good, right? Right.

Kudos to you Michael. I know admitting that Armageddon sucked was not easy for you.

Michael Bay's films have made billions of dollars. Armageddon alone earned 553,709,788 worldwide. So, am I being unfair? You might say that if a movie can amass that much revenue it's fine because people really seem to enjoy it. But does that make it good? Millions of people worldwide also enjoy heroin and dog fighting and you wouldn't say those things are good, right? Right.
