It was only a matter of time, but Facebook has killed Instagram. In their updated terms of use, Instagram now claims it can SELL your photos without permission and without giving you money either.

I believe they also removed themselves from Twitter, too, which from my point of view is a HUGE nail in their coffin. A majority of the Instagram posts I run across I see on Twitter. Instagram had an opportunity to partner with Twitter (which makes way more sense from a logistical & user-oriented standpoint) but instead decided to make a deal with Facebook. Goodnight, Instagram.

According to my local news, since the Sandy Hook shooting, gun permits have gone up in Tulsa by 100%. All the local gun shops are sold out of assault weapons, and any weapons and/or magazines that hold more than 10 rounds are also sold out.

Really? This is the first reaction? Its not "what can we do to stop something like that from happening again," its "Oh my god! They're gonna ban assault weapons! I'd better stock up!" I just don't get it.

my buddy owns a gun store, hardcore republican, loves his fox news, he said obama getting elected is a double edged sword, all gun and ammo sales go way up but its a dem in the white house for four years, but after sandy hook? ya he ordered as many ak-47s as he could, because they were essentially already sold, at a massive markup. their 'cash cow' so to speak is assault rifles.

The thing is, Instragram was making very little profit and had almost no monetization. Google absolutely could not continue with it as-is. Selling photos to photo stock companies was a bad idea, but they had to do something. They might back out of the selling photos thing now that they've seen the reaction, and will have to think of something else.

You're not alone, Frizzo. I just saw the same thing on my local news this morning. Apparently, yesterday the Honolulu Police Department's main HQ had a line of over 200 people out it's main doors, standing in line to register for gun permits so they can purchase their assault rifles. It's ****ing madness. And this is a "blue state" for crying out loud, what's with the right wing nutjobs everywhere?

I swear, I started off Republican, and over the years I've become an Independant. Now it seems more and more like I'll eventually lean more Left the older I get. Honestly, I'm beginning to hate the Right a little more each day.
