As a kid, I found the Droids cartoon sorely disappointing. It was as though the producers of the show had gone out of their way to make it as much unlike Star Wars as they could. The focus of the program wasn't even the droids, but a bunch of new characters taking the place of our heroes. The droids just filled the same role for the new guys that they were fulfilling during Star Wars.

What's even worse is that Marvel came out with a comic book tie-in to the show that was exactly as the cartoon should have been. It was written the vein of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, featuring Artoo and Threepio's unfilmed adventures during Star Wars. We got to see what sort of trouble the droids were getting themselves into while Luke and Ben were inside the Cantina, the cockpit of the Millenium Falcon, running around the Death Star, etc. If the producers of the cartoon would have had enough sense to go this route, the program would have lasted for more than one season.

It's hard to believe those two got into hijinks that we didn't see in the movies.

I never watch Ewoks on cartoon TV show before. I didn't watch it since I was little. I do not remember for which channel is that. Maybe even it is NBC or something like that.

Didn't the family in An Ewok Adventure die in Battle For Endor? I always thought that that seemed so wrong when I was a kid. Not so much anymore.

Yep, three issues worth just from SW: ANH.

When it comes to the 2D and 3D animated Clone Wars series, I like them a great deal. In my mind, I don't really associate them with the prequel movies. I instead consider them to be the real prequel. The stories actually make sense, and I care about the characters involved. Since the live-action prequels are the exact opposite of that, they're very forgettable.

Yeah, I'll be disappointed for me.

There is nothing can be done for now. It's just only old cartoon TV show.

Now that Lucasfilm is in the hands of Disney, I can't help but wonder about the fate of the long-lingering live-action Star Wars TV show. The main reason for it to exist was to fill the void due to lack of Star Wars movies. Since there now will be Star Wars movies every two or three years, there's not much call for it anymore.

Star Wars: Detours? Another interesting question. I suspect that at least a few episodes have already been rendered, but almost nothing about it has been made public besides the trailer. I wouldn't be surprised if Disney killed it as a series, and instead made it into a comedy special, like the Robot Chicken and Family Guy ones. A special isn't going to damage the brand the way a series can, and an ongoing series that makes fun of your franchise on a weekly basis may not be something Disney really wants out there. Emperor Lucas didn't mind, because all the nerd rage directed his way led him to hate Star Wars.

That would conflict with the story of them meeting in the Star Wars Christmas Special segment. I thought it was agreed all Star Wars related material does not conflict with each other.
