Sure, you put a little winky emoticon on there, but the fact is Bay really didn't have a script. Transformers 2 was shot during the writers strike, so he used that as an excuse to not have a proper script. He enjoyed the nonsensical process of shooting a film without a script (or a plot that makes sense) so much that he decided to do the same thing again for TF3 according to those on the set. His assurances ahead of time that he would be working on a more solid script for TF3 were pure PR. Bay never had any intention of coming up with an actual script before filming began.

Seriously do not like the way the TF4 storyline is headed. Taking it to outerspace? Why? What grounded the previous movies was the fact that the robots were based on Earth. Even though the whole idea is clearly implausible having it based on Earth makes it more accessible for people to identify with it. At least everyone knows there will tons and tons of explosions.

Last month, Mark Wahlberg officially landed a role in Transformers 4. ComingSoon.net caught up with the star at a press junket for his upcoming Broken City and talked a bit about his hopes for the franchise reboot.

"I'm really excited about 'Transformers'," Wahlberg says. "Michael Bay and I just did 'Pain & Gain' and we had such a good time making it. He came to me and said, 'I'm kind of doing a whole different reboot on 'Transformers'. Are you interested?' I said, 'Yeah, I'll do it!'. I loved the idea and I think we can make something really cool and kick-ass. This is not something where it's already established and I'm just in there to get a paycheck. I'm thinking this is the most important role of my career and I can do something really special."

The current plan is for Transformers 4 to shoot in May and see release on June 27, 2014. Adding to Wahlberg's excitement is the anticipation from a very specific demographic.

"It's the only time my kids have ever been interested in a movie I'm making," he laughs.

I think the Transformers suffered when he tried to replace Meg Fox with the Stick. Ever since These movies have gotten worse from Transformers 1 was pretty good. Maybe if Disney Buys Hasbro they will can Bay.

Megan Fox had a connection to what little bit of fans liked the films. I think Lenard NImoys voice was the only reason people flocked to the 3rd movie. If they was gonna replace Fox they could have found ane Mikala for there are plenty as hot young actresses as Fox. I think mostly the character of Mikala was missed.

A rumored contender from late last year's short list, Jack Raynor has officially been chosen to play a leading role in Michael Bay's upcoming Transformers 4. Bay himself issued the following statement on his official site:

I just hired a great new actor for Transformers 4 to star against Mark Wahlberg. Jack Reynor, he is an Irish kid that came to America with 30 bucks in his pocket. Pretty ballsy. Seriously who does that? Anyway I spotted him in a great little Irish movie WHAT RICHARD DID. This kid is the real deal.

Transformers 4, is not a reboot. That word has been floating around on the net.

This movie takes place exactly 4 years after the war in Chicago. The story makes a very natural transition, and reason as to why we have a whole new cast. This Transformers will feel very different then the last three. We are embarking on a new trilogy.
