If you've watched animes with stories like this. It's as close an Evangalion or Gundam Wing you'll get...

I'm pumped and Del Toro is perfect for this type of movie

the glados voice is off putting.

and it does look cheesy, but i mean... that also looked pretty damn cool. the two armed guy was interesting. might have to check this one out, del toro let me down with hellboy 2 though, really let me down.

I knew I recognized the AI voice initiating the Robots, lol. Is that supposed to be some kind of homage or something to Portal?

What? Hellboy 2 was great fun. As a fan of the comics, I thought he did a wonderful job.

If they ever do a live action Gundam movie or Shadow of the Colossus, I want Del Toro behind it!

It's the same voice actress. Del Toro likes Valve and the Portal series... so... I guess it's in honor of that, since they also altered her voice to sound like GLaDOS as well.

I think it's going to distract me more than anything else, if it's just some nameless computer in the movie.

Something about Pacific Rim... seems like a bit of that movie, a bit of this movie, and the trailer did not wow me at all.

My first reaction was wow, Finally! A great movie with Robots that doesn't look like a crappy version of Transformers.
