Connery is the best hands down. But I kind of think Craig and Dalton might be tied. With maybe Craig slight lead.

Connery is Bond. Craig is Playing Connerys type of Bond. Brosnan i think is the best new Bond. He just however was not given the better writing Craig got for these Bonds.
Brosnan would have had a big hit with Casino Royale.

Roger Moore was the best James Bond in my opinion. He looks and acts much more English than the smoky Scotsman Connery or Daniel Craig, who reminds my a bit of Putin.

Daniel Craig's skyfall is the best in the bond series. Awesome script and awesome action on that script!

I voted for Connery but reluctantly so. I enjoy Craig's raw portrayal. However I think Connery's suaveness gives him the upper hand. If Craig had a little more suave, I'd give it to him hands down.

I think the next 2 Bond films can capture the saveness that you mentioned we can see Craig taking it as the best Bond

One more like Skyfall and Craig will be in the conversation, but right now it's Connery. The reason for that is even the less liked Connery flicks (Thunderball, Diamonds are Forever, and You Only live Twice) are better than the lower quality Craig movie (Quantum of Solace), though Connery did have more bites at the apple. If Craig has his 3rd top shelf flick, then he's at least number 2, but right now it's Connery far and away...

I always thought Brosnan was the perfect Bond, although he was given pretty crappy scripts to work with. I think if you could plug a younger Brosnan into Skyfall he'd be better than Craig. Just my opinion.

Most people will always say Connery due to nostalgia. It doesn't hurt that Connery was in perhaps the best movies in the series. However, I've heard that Craig's portrayal is much closer to the literary Bond than any of the other actors. As such, I felt his time as Bond has been thus far fantastic. For suaveness, Brosnan was a perfect choice. I would be interested to see how he would do in Craig's movies. Other than GoldenEye, Brosnan's movies were total letdowns. Maybe he was the problem, maybe not. But he always had the funny one-liner to make the audience smile and he had the prototypical look of a movie spy. Despite that, I believe Craig is just superior. He is brutal. He is brash. He is BOND!

I think with two more quality Bond films under his belt I'm going to have a really hard time not putting Craig at the top of the list. As it is, I'm tempted to name him my #1 even with just three movies in.

Connery will always be THE Bond in my book but Craig does an excellent job. Lazenby did pretty well in his outing.

After seeing Craig in the first three movies and how they made the movies more serious I can't stand to watch the old ones anymore. I hate how campy they are and sorry Connery just doesn't look like he's a badass
