Microsoft is ****ing with me today. Two weeks ago I purchased a 12-month gold subscription card and redeemed it. Today I get an email saying that my account was cancelled due to lack of payment/renewal. Sure enough, I get home, turn on my x-box and yup, account cancelled. What gives? Now I have to file a complaint, go through the motions... December freakin' sucks balls especially hard this year.

The world can't end until I play Tomb Raider.

Then it can do whatever it wants.

There's only so much I can take, and I think I've reached my limits. I need to go. I need to get far, far away from here.
Like everyone else, I suggest you head towards the mainland, dude. And do you know where you should end up? Oregon. Oregon. Why Oregon? Well, let me tell you: Hiking, fishing, hippies, nice beaches, we love to piss off the Feds (Bush 41 once referred to Portland as "Little Beirut," and while his son was president the Justice Department came after our state), an ungodly amount of microbreweries (go Portland), not to mention the best marijuana in the United States. It's the climate.

My grandmother used to live in Seattle, thought about living in the Pacfic North West. It is very nice there.

I'd suggest New York....but you need less stress.

I grew up in Seattle. Even lived over in Bellevue for a year with some friends before moving back to Hawaii. My parents moved back to Hawaii in 1998, I followed two years later. Also, I spent the winter living with an aunty up in Anchorage and a summer in Vegas (4hr drives to L.A. were awesome). I loved to travel. I can honestly say I've never been to an East Coast city. As for less stress? Trust me, once I'm off this rock, I think it'll be like being reborn or some ****. NYC is definitely on my bucket list, along with D.C. and Chicago. Okay, Chicago isn't an East Coast city, but still...

Seattle is awesome. The one thing about Oregon & Washington is that we get an incredibly high amount of rain, but it's worth it: the Pacific Northwest turns in to a goddamn Eden in the Spring & Summer.

I really want to visit Seattle. Honestly, it sounds like my ideal city to live in. Coffee and rain...all the time.

Try Portland: exactly like Seattle, just with less people and more breweries.

I'm sure I'll also be able to purchase the other substance there too, if the occasion should arise...right?

Best in the United States. It's everywhere (some people plant it in the woods just because they can) and it's super potent. We grow things here really, really well. Once again: climate is key.

Puget Sound on a cloudy day is one of my favorite things.

I really want to go to Alaska one day as well.

I could be a little blinded by my perspective. I love this city and can't imagine be any where else right now. But my chosen proffession makes earning a living....interesting, hence the stress. You'd probably have much easier time landing a full time job.

I'd really like to go to Alaska, too. And it's only one of two states I still need to visit.

I can't do the less people part. For some reason I'm comfortable in dense urban areas, which is why on this island, I live in the middle of the city. I can't do small towns/cities with small populations, I don't understand it. I just feel more active I guess in larger cities.

Spent the winter there, I could barely see ten feet in front of me and most of the time I didn't know if it was night or day thanks to the clouds. Still, I think I was the only one on the block who played in the snow wearing only shorts and a T-Shirt, lol.

There's over 2 million people in the Portland area. It's not exactly sparsely populated.

I'm turning 20 in 2 hours. I joined this board when I was 15. Sheesh.

Hey, it can happen - when I was 20 my sister said she was gonna get me a tee shirt that said "Old Fart" on it - because of how I act before my coffee in the morning

Happy B'day Masterchief!

==================

Oh and Tolk! Come to Vermont and freeze in the snow with me

9 more days until the end of the world
Interesting coincidence - my sister's birthday is the 20th - and then the world ends

Another frightening coincidence - The fiscal cliff deal has to be finalized on the 21st so that congress can vote on it before the winter break.
