Well, I can say unequivocally that none of my friends, colleagues or family give a crap about the royal family. You'll be hard pressed to find many Welsh, Scottish or Northern Irish fanatics either.

As for them not "doing anything", they do more for charity than 99.9% of the 'celebrities' being obsessed over by the masses.

And the nurse was apparently an immigrant who wasn't even fully aware of who the royals are or what they do, there's no evidence whatsoever that she has killed herself because of pressure from fanatical royal supporters.

Well celebrities do donate millions of dollars to charities, both in America and Europe. Regardless it’s still a fraction of what any of them possess.

As for the nurse, even if she was an immigrant I have a hard time believing that she didn’t know who the royal family was before emigrating there. I have an even harder time believing that the incident had nothing to do with her suicide. Not saying people were pressuring her to kill herself, but she certainly must have been taking some flak either in the media or in her professional or personal life.

The DJs are getting WAY too much flack for this. No one in a million years would ever think prank calling someone for a pretty harmless joke would lead to that person committing suicide. That's a ridiculously disproportionate response.

Of course it has something to do with it, nobody is doubting that. Anything more though is pure speculation.

You're saying Brits are fanatical and that this alleged fanaticism is the reason for her death, somehow, but I very much doubt any flak she received was any more severe than it would've been if she had made the same mistake with another high-profile celebrity on either side of the Atlantic.

Her suicide is more a reflection on her clearly fragile mental state than anything else.

I think we may just have a gentlemen’s disagreement in this case. I don’t know what the nurse’s personal situation was like, but I would imagine that the reaction would have been much different had she blown the cover on a movie star rather than Kate Middleton. Even when I was in London I just noticed this aura that surrounds the royal family, people over there do hold them to much higher esteem than say George Clooney. If it had been some other celebrity would she have still killed herself? I dunno, who’s to say? I would say it’s very very possible though that it would have turned out differently.

At my old apartment, they built a Sonic three blocks away. This was more convenient than before, when I had to drive five blocks. Yes, that's right. Sonic built a new location only TWO BLOCKS from one that was already there! Dueling franchises, I suppose.

So... I don't read the material and just make guesses and I manage to pass the tests, I open my book for the first time in the semester and get a 50%. I guess it's whiskey and guessing for my last test of the semester. Pfffft, Human Relations is a stupid class anyway.

One of my teacher's are in a music band with my mother. She showed me a Facebook post of his that said "Students are a real pain in the ass near the end of the semester."

For someone who has had the mindset of "I'm here to work, not make friends" and "leave your feelings at the door and get the job done" it's been pretty stupid taking a class in Human Relations. I've gotten some bad grades for answering questions with real world answers vs what the book describes.

Suffice to say I've been a giant "tee-double yew-eh-tee" towards my teacher the entire semester
