I'm just about through the set. Goldeneye was the only transfer that really bothered me much, and even then it wasn't that bad. I hadn't seen any of the Connery films on Blu-ray, they looked like they could have been made yesterday. Incredible. I know the restorations Lowry Digital performed in the mid-00's produced outstanding results on DVD, I guess I just wasn't expecting it for Blu-ray too.

My old DVD set is from 1999, so I'm pretty excited for them to come in the mail. Couple days now.
I'm also selling my old set to a friend for $50, so that's cool.

The one I have my eye on is The Spy Who Loved Me. What were your thoughts on that one? I'm also very curious about License to Kill. I always felt that movie had TV-quality cinematography. So, everytime I see the Blu-Ray on shelves I can't help but wonder what it looks like in "high-definition." And what amuses is how terrible the cover art is. That's something most people aren't discussing. The cover art on the individual sets are pretty awful for the most part. From Russia With Love, GoldenEye, and Moonraker (to a certain extent) seem to be the only decent ones.

I honestly think "The Spy Who Loved Me" is the best Moore film, one of the few that were actually good.

That and FYEO are the respectable Moore films, the rest probably require nostalgia to appreciate.

I think Octopussy is a bit underrated, but that just may be me. Yes, he dresses as a clown and the palace is attacked by gypsies and Q is in a hot-air balloon and....what was I saying?

I don't think Octopussy is underrated. People may dislike the storyline and Roger Moore dressed as a clown, but it does feature some of the more popular action sequences of that era. A View to a Kill is the one I truly feel is underrated. People's hatred of that movie is over-reaction. Is Roger Moore too old? Yes. Does Tanya Roberts suck? Yeah, sure. Kinda. Is the pre-title sequence an embarrassment? Defintely. But..... that's it. Nothing else about that movie is bad.

There's also the car that works without its back half. Also it has the plot of Superman. The final bridge scene is pretty cool though. Except the part where Magoo bobbles the dynamite. I think I had that in my worst Bond scenes list.
