I think its just the unknown and people can get things in there head like these 48 will burn out my eyes deal and Jackson will be bad like Lucas because he used a few digital Goblins.

I think I have to see it in 48 FPS, simply because I am so curious as to whether it will work or not. Its a big gamble on the film crew's part.

But then again, it also depends on what the people going with me prefer too.

Apparently it's being released in that format in only certain theaters in certain cities. Same goes for IMAX and 3-D, I think.

My theater said 3D High Frame Rate.

On top of those options, my theater offers IMAX 3D in HFR. I guess if it isn't stated then it probably isn't offered. You can always give them a call to check it out.

even for everything i have said... i'm still gonna see it in 48 fps 3d.

couple friends, who have never read the book, surprisingly are very excited to see it, i need to tame in their expectations.

I honestly don't know what people expected. When looking at the new LED TV's in high def, they look pretty similar to this. It looks kind of like a cross between a hand held camera and real people if that makes sense. I want to give it a shot at 48 fps and 3D as well.

These people saw three movies based on three content-filled books so they think they're getting the same here, but they're not. I was excited for three films for a day before I realized just how bland or off-book this trilogy will be going. Find a way to inform them before they end up bored outta their minds.

I want to see Thorin or Dwalin spit in the eye of a mirkwood elf. The reason is I want to see the hate Dwarvs really have for Elves so it makes Gimli and Legolas friendship allot more meaningful
