I believe the UK version that's part of the big set is region free, so I'd be surprised if they made manufactured separate discs specifically for this (you'd have to check for sure though. I know Casino Royale is Region B locked). Problem is Play.com doesn't ship to the U.S.

Have you looked into the individual releases? They're pretty cheap. I've seen prices as low as $7.

As cool as it would be to have, I'll have to agree with Drac on this one. It looks too bulky. Plus, I don't really buy DVDs or BRs anymore. It would just collect dust.

In spite of my reservations, I did end up buying the set when it dipped to $129. Sure enough, it doesn't really fit on my shelf with my other DVDs/BRs, but it is good to finally have all the Bond movies and to have them all an BR.

BTW, word on the street is that Goldeneye is the one movie in the set with a crappy transfer, so if you're only going to get one, that's probably the wrong one to get.

I'm keeping a close eye on Best Buy. The first week they were selling the blu-ray's for $7 each, but being an idiot, I didn't get them. Now they're $14. So, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping they have a special sometime before Christmas. Or, heck, even afterwards. The funny thing about GoldenEye is that was the last copy at Sam's Club. Either they under-stocked it or it sold very well. By comparison, there was an entire row of Die Another Day. I felt bad and strongly considered buying a copy just for s--ts and giggles but ultimately passed on it. There was also a few copies of Octopussy but I'm in no rush to get that one. Maybe next time I'll buy it.

If it dips near $100 again before Christmas I'll probably get it. But honestly I have them all on DVD and I don't watch them all that much. Would still be awesome though...

I read a few reviews on GoldenEye. Apparently the picture quality has been overly digitized and it loses that "movie-look" from the mid-`90s. Some are pissed about that and others are not. Reaction is more mixed than negative. But everyone seems to agree that this transfer is a MAJOR improvement from the DVD, especially since for the first time the movie is presented in the proper aspect ratio. Also, the audio mix is considered one of the best in the collection. So, overall, it doesn't seem too bad. I'll watch the movie later tonight and decide for myself.

I bought it at 150 when I got it. So far I've watched a couple Connery films and the Craig films before Skyfall and all the films look great in the box set.

The Box isn't that bad I have to keep it with my books and not my DVD's but IDC I love Bond so It's worth it.
