Idk it had some great parts. The old service men using the ship. The problem was it looked like a poor rip off of Transformers 3 alien wise. Not enough Liam Neeson was another bad part.

Sometimes its the right movie at the right time. I think its in choosing projects you want to make and maybe JC a chosen project its just that you can never predict what people will flock to unless its a proven money maker.
Take Star Wars or The Hobbit you could get an unknown name like Neverending, RedVader or JBond and they could have a hit movie. All because of the legacy.

The problem with John Carter was the audience. I kept watching it wondering who they were trying to make the movie for. In the previews, it seemed like a young teens fantasy story, but watching the movie, it was uninspiring for anyone other than Ray Bradbury and Arthur C. Clark fans. They just didn't think it through properly.

Most movies are made for as many demographics as possible, thus making it for nobody.

But they do have a target audience. For example, cartoons target kids, I don't think they would consider Twilight to appeal to most male audience members, and The Avengers likewise isn't really a good fit for most tween girls. Audience matters and JC missed the mark.

The list of former "Star Wars" actors throwing their hats in the ring for "Episode VII" continues to grow.

The latest star to join the roster of hopefuls? Samuel L. Jackson (aka Mace Windu).

"I'm not surprised but totally geeked by the idea of there being more 'Star Wars,'" the actor told E! News on Friday. "It's like, okay, Obi-Wan was dead when episode four started, so maybe everyone thinks I'm dead and we'll find out what happened to Mace Windu."

The "Avengers" star's schedule is swamped -- he has three films currently in production - but when asked if he'd like to return for "Episode VII," the actor gave an enthusiastic "Hell yeah!"

"I can come back as one-armed or a one-handed Jedi that's still around that didn't actually die," he said. "I could do that or be a ghost hologram. I don't care!"

Adding, "I just want to stay associated with the franchise. Not that I won't, because I've been in three of them."
As for why the actor is drawn to the sci-fi world, Sam said he loves the concept of life in other in galaxies far, far away.

"I just always loved it. I always loved the idea of it, that there's this whole civilization out there somewhere else that's just as much fun and different and diverse and wild as we are," he said.

Even if they could write him in as alive, he would be really old by the time of these films. I'm having trouble seeing any way of having him return that wouldn't be hoaky, other than being a ghost. Even then...
