Pretty dark stuff this season

The darker the better on a show like this but it's not as good as season 1, yet.

I can't make up my mind which season I prefer tbh I think it's season 1 but i'm really liking season 2 so far

So for me season 2 started off all over the place. Then I started to get into it. And then the last two episodes was just a bit s**t.

It had aliens, monsters, Nazi doctors, demon possession and a slasher type killer. One of those alone could've been the main focus of a season. I also liked how it started with a hunted asylum feel to it that was quickly forgot or lost. To me it feels like they got the season 2 pick up, held a meeting to discuss the focus of the season and took EVERY idea suggested. Looking at that list I also find my self asking, how many were resolved?

Why were the aliens taking him, and what was special about the kids? Apart for being fed a lot, what did the monsters ever really do? The nazi docter just killed himself and apparently no one ever found out. The demon nun was killed off and never heard of again. Really the least intresting aspect of the show was the slasher and his son and that was the only thing that got a good conclusion.

I agree with you that the last 2 eps were a bit **** and it did start out slow but overall I did really enjoy this season. God only knows what season 3 will be about

I read an interview the other day where Ryan Murphy says that there's a hint at what the story for season 3 will be in the tenth episode of this season.

I thought this season was good, some stuff I didn't like but way better than last season. Last season I swore I wouldn't watch the show again, the only reason I did is because it was a different story. I hated pretty much the last half of the first season and the ending was not very good.

I think most things were wrapped up ok, I do agree about the alien stuff though, and the kids end up a law professor and a neurosurgeon? if these kids were so special why these two jobs? I don't think anybody found out about the nazi doctor or the monsters, But to be fair the nazi doctor probably destroyed all of his files and the cardinal wasn't going to start talking so I don't think too many people even knew about what went on. I did think the demon nun was killed a little too easily but that might have been it's ego going overboard and thinking nobody would hurt the host.

What might have been interesting in the finale is if the demon was actually inside of lanas kid, because the demon nun did undo the abortion.

Well, they have said season 3 will be lighter in tone and moved to more modern times. I didn't mind the dark tone of Asylum, though they did seem to throw everything they could out there and see what happened to stick. But that's what I like about American Horror Story - it's always entertaining whether it's Ian Shane in a Santa Claus suit or a mutated Chloë Sevigny crawling up some stairs. Ah, good times.
