Guess it was probably to be expected, but I was hoping to hear the John Williams score at least during the credits. Bummer. But not too sad as I'm glad this Superman is taking a whole different direction from the past Superman movies.

Well, I'm certainly curious to see it. Not going to allow even a great trailer to get my hopes up, though. It would be nice to get a Superman movie that I can actually stand to watch more than once as an adult. Maybe this one will be one of WB's happy accidents.

Well folks HERE is a link to a vid of the new trailer. It appears to have been taken using a smartphone, so the quality sux. It's not exactly mind blowing stuff.

That was a teaser. This is an actual trailer. So I'm sure it'll have less of that American Express Card feel to it.

The incredibly cheesy "Lois & Clark," starring Dean Cain as the man of steel, had an episode where Superman gets arrested. If this movie uses the same plotline I will laugh uncontrollably.

Of course. But Superman allows himself to be arrested. That's the point. He's a boy scout. This movie will likely be more about social commentary than real world settings. Would Nolan's Batman, whose definitely in a real world setting, allow himself to get arrested?

Considering how many Gotham PD squad cars got trashed during Batman's time on the streets of the city, I'd have to say no.

We see a shot of Martha Kent - Diana Lane looks old and not as hot (not complaining - she looks like Ma Kent).
See a shot of boy Clark running and then sitting in a room with his hands over his head, crying.
MA KENT: 'Listen to my voice. Imagine it's an island in the middle of a big ocean. Can you see it?"
BOY CLARK: 'I see it.'

Bearded Clark opens his eyes underwater.

We see a shot (Comic Con) of the bus falling into the water.

RANDOM MOTHER: 'My son was in the bus... he saw what Clark did.'

A few absolutely beautiful shots of Superman walking among the snow (you don't see his face which is a nice touch).

PA KENT (voice over): 'You just need to decide what kind of man you want to grow up to be. Whoever that man is...

Music starts to build... epicly... Superman is in a kneel position. In slow mo the ground begins to shake....

PA KENT (continued): '...he's going to change the world."

Superman takes off (DBZ style) and the music goes EPIC - very operatic and just epic. Superman zooms into space and flies across the Earth.

From here the shots were very close together but I'll do my best to remember all of them:

* A lot of footage from Comic Con (if you haven't seen that look it up). New footage I remember seeing:
* Perry White running from collapsing building.
* Faora standing back towards camera looking at flames.
* Zod's space ship heading towards Kent farm.
* Ma Kent and Superman hugging.
* Superman holding Lois's hand surrounded by the military.

The trailer ends with the line 'My father believed if the world found out who I really was, they'd reject me. He was convinced that the world wasn't ready. What do you think?
Final shot is Superman emerging from rubble with the military stepping in (same as CC)
