I'm kind of afraid she might fall because I have a low friction mattress cover, and my quilt could slide if she jumped wrong and grabbed hold of it. My sister's handicapped cat fell off my bed once and got scared of getting back up on it, and i don't want that to happen to her. I picked up two ceramic bowls and a one of those gloves for grooming yesterday, because I noticed she sheds pretty well for a short haired cat. So yeah, apparently she's been returned to the shelter about three times from what I could tell. Pretty healthy except for minor ear cleaning and the hind leg. She's a really sweet cat from what I could tell yesterday. ================ So the unsuspecting fools took Michael huh? lol Hope they have better luck with him. Good to hear you're no longer living in fear  Oh, try putting a little catnip on the scratching area and reward PJ (with a treat or toy, or other fun activity) for using the right scratching object when he does it. He should get the hint. Sprinkle catnip sparingly - just to figure out how he responds to it first though. A lot of it could make him too spunky, but it's non-addictive and the effects will usually wear off in 20 minutes or less. Then most cats will walk away from it, and maybe go back to it later.

My Nephew's wife went into labor yesterday afternoon - no word yet, except the baby was taking it's time
================= Picking up Nikki this afternoon - kinda nervous not knowing how she's going to settle in, and wondering if I bought the right stuff yesterday at Petco. It took me almost 2 hours to put the automated litter box together as the directions were kind of vague - hope a space age pooping pan doesn't freak her out too much - she seems rather adaptable to new situations though from what I saw of her - and she's certainly not a shy cat. I'm thinking I should have bought the 16 inch steps instead of the 12 inch steps - I got some portable steps so she wouldn't hurt herself falling while trying to jump up on the bed. I guess if they're not tall enough I can buy the other set online later, and give these steps to my brother - he's got a tiny dog who has a little arthritis in the hips, so he could use it for her, if it doesn't work out here for Nikki.

A friend of mine are roadtripping tomorrow to Jetmore, KS to visit the mother of a friend of ours who passed away a little over to years ago. I've never been good at sentimental things, but Turkish loved whiskey, so I considered getting four of the airline bottles of some sort of whiskey. One for his mom, one for my friend, one for me and one to leave at the gravesite. It's more creative than flowers, but I don't know if that's considered insensitive to take shots on the grave of a deceased friend.

Well, i got Nikki home safe and sound. She took everything quite well, after all she's been through this a couple of times lol. She's a real sweetheart = loves to cuddle, be held, and pet. The steps up to the bed work great for her - she got the hang of that right away. She's also not too afraid of the litter box - even though it's pretty loud when it cleans itself

This is really getting ridiculous, I think we need a better capcha in the user registration.
Another option would be to ask a movie-related question of some sort in the registration (something really obvious but with a decent amount of letters, like "last name of Schindler's List director Steven") which would make it much harder for the spambots to register.
