If I was going for 3D I would get Burton to do a Movie or 2 because he likes using it and is familure with the world of Batman.
Maybe with a Mustach Keaton could play Gordon in a new movie. Or least be a cop or something.

I think TDKR was gonna run into one snag. TDKR is not as Family friendly as Avengers. Avengers had scary elements but nothing to TDKR. I think we need to except that Avengers is the Top Movie of 2012 while many assumed TDKR or The Hobbit may hold the title. The Hobbit can still make allot of money but I think it will cap out at 400 million Domestically and TDKR will end up somewhere in the 400's as well.

During week #1, Dark Knight Rises was selling nearly as many tickets as The Avengers. But now that we're in week #2, that no longer seems to be the case. Could it be a result of the Olympics, the mixed reviews, the Colorado shooting or all of the above? It's difficult to say. All we know is that the film is not the success everyone was expecting.

The Olympics have done more damage than the Colorado shooting. NBC is getting record ratings. Truth is, when the economy is bad, people stay home and watch sports. Hence all these sporting events breaking records in recent years. I guess expecting 2012 to be a monster year was silly considering how expensive theaters are getting these days and people staying home more often. The Avengers has been the only standout hit this year. And will probably be the only one unless The Hobbit also does well.

The Dark Knight Rises has now beaten the foreign box office total of The Dark Knight. What's more, the film hasn't even opened yet in Italy or China. Once that happens, TDKR should easily surpass it's predecessor on the Worldwide Box Office list. It seems unlikely that it will be able to do so on the domestic list however, given the current rate of decline for ticket sales in the US.

– Norway opened to $2.7M, capturing well over 65% of the entire market and besting the opening of Casino Royale by 52% and Quantum Of Solace by 15%.

– Sweden launched with a huge $2.6, the biggest opening of 2012, 27% bigger than the opening of Casino Royale, and just 4% less than Quantum Of Solace, which opened during a national holiday.

– Denmark also opened to $2.6, the biggest non-3D opening ever there, beating Casino Royale by 23% and Quantum Of Solace by 30%.
