Roland Emmerich's next film is being described as "Die Hard in the White House." I guess after so many years of remaking and ripping off `80s movies, we've finally gotten to the `90s.

Maybe it's in the genes, but by 13, Jaden Smith -- Will Smith's son -- has already established himself as a bankable action star, and now it seems the sky's the limit.

According to Variety, Sony wants to cast Smith for the lead in the film adaptation of "Boy Nobody." In a role that sounds something along the lines of a teenage Jason Bourne or male version of "Hanna," Jaden's character would be "a brainwashed teenage assassin."

The film is based on the young adult novel by Allen Zadoff, and Sony currently has plans to make it into a trilogy. Variety quotes the author as saying that the lead character is a “young soldier trained not to feel; who could function in every situation without fear, sympathy or anger; who could assassinate strangers and then walk away emotionally unscathed.”

Sony Pictures and Overbrook Entertainment are in early talks to acquire the film rights as a vehicle for Smith, who's now filming M. Night Shyamalan's "After Earth" with his father.

Don't hate me for saying this but I kind of enjoyed "The Karate Kid" remake.

On the heels of the $344 million worldwide success of TITANIC 3D, the studio and director Roland Emmerich, in conjunction with Stereo 3D, which did the work on TITANIC, will produce a top quality 3D version of the iconic INDEPENDENCE DAY. ID43D will be released worldwide on July 3, 2013.

Have you guys seen the TV ads for the Adam Sandles s--tfest, That's My Boy? Instead of critic quotes they're using reviews from Twitter. I can't imagine people watching this and saying, "oh, wow, people like it on Twitter. It must be good."

WB is promoting Magic Mike as the Citizen Kane of Stripper movies. Call me crazy but I doubt it will top Striptease with Demi Moore.
