By the way, Deexan, I was wondering something: what is the relationship between the Welsh and English? My grandfather's parents were from Wales, so I've always been curious.

Well, the Welsh are very much their own people. They have their own language, which is very different from English. Physically we're identical, I don't really know how their country originated exactly but I do know that they have a specific sexual attraction to sheep.
In all fairness they're not much better than the Scots but they at least keep themselves to themselves and try not to meddle in our affairs. Alien hates football so he will never read this. Muhahahahaha! |

Manchester City is just....doing horribly in the Champions League. Real Madrid has been a surprise, now they've tied with Dortmund. But here's to the unlikely event that Man City can pull off an upset against RM this month.

I love seeing them fail.
MUFC being top of the league is the icing on the cake! Should secure our place in the knockout stages tonight. |

Celtic is acting like they just WON the Champions League title. I guess for them, it's like they did.
By the way, where the **** was the handball call? It's nice to note that the commentators cared so much about Mascherano's interference, but cared so little about that blatant, crucial handball. Last edited by Justin; 11-07-2012 at 03:41 PM. |

Our defense is so ****ty right now. We need a tall defender or someone capable of keeping pace with the 'long-ball-and-run' tactic that has beaten them time and time again. Chelsea and Celtic used that same style, yet they've made no adjustments to try and fix the problem.

On a different, but positive note: congratulations Messi. What an incredible feat.

The Europa League sucks but there's no way the big clubs will vote to allow that to happen, kind of reduces the prestige of the whole thing.

Becks ended his time at LA Galaxy game in style by winning the MLS Cup.

I've honestly never been a fan of his, but I'm proud that he tried to bring the MLS into the spotlight, even if it was for selfish reasons (possibly?). Congrats to the Galaxy, who I don't even like.

I was gonna ask if you'd been to see them live but I guess not if you dislike them.
2 more goals for Leo to break the record then, should be easy enough. |

Nope, I haven't...though I wouldn't mind seeing them live. I just wouldn't pay for it.

According to ESPN, he has a bruised knee. They performed a MRI and he looks to be okay. I believe he'll be back for the next game, but that's just my optimism.
I also can't believe they had a draw against Benfica. There's absolutely no reason for that. During the first half they had, what, 1 shot on goal or something? Give me a break. Last edited by Justin; 12-05-2012 at 06:06 PM. |

I know I shouldn't condone it but I thought it was hilarious that Rio got pinged by a coin! Serves him right for celebrating like that in front of their fans.

He was in front of our fans, the coin came from miles away. Sky Sports showed the footage today. An inch lower and he could've been blinded.
