I own Begins on DVD and Dark Knight on blu-ray. Would buying the trilogy on blu-ray be overkill?

Back in July, Best Buy was selling Begins and TDK super cheap as promotion for TDKR. I think they were like 10 bucks each. You should check if they still have that deal.

Yes I will.

Now, keep in mind this is just a RUMOR, but I read on EW's site that the original 3 hr. and 15 minute cut of the movie could be released on Blu Ray. But I'm skeptical, because Nolan has never released Director's Cuts. The final versions of his films are usually his "Director's Cuts."

Anyway, I've heard a release date of December 7th being floated around.

The chances of a directors cut coming to DVD are pretty low, what we got in the theaters is what we will get on the dvd/blu ray.

I thought there was way too much bull**** in this movie, why would ADDING to it help it at all?

Nolan was forced to cut it because of a technical issue relating to how much footage could be used on film due to all the IMAX scenes. So there's a very good chance that there'll be an extended cut released on Blu-Ray that will carry his original vision in full.

What is everybody's favourite set-piece from the trilogy?

This is probably because it's fresh in my mind (although I've watched the first two recently too) but the prison escape in TDKR is mine.

I have read that the rumor for Director's Cut is largely untrue, and will never happen. Which is disappointing. Even though I own both films on DVD and Blu Ray, I will be buying the trilogy on Blu Ray once it comes out. No doubt about that.

Batman Begins: Interrogation scene, and "I won't kill you, but I don't have to save you."

The Dark Knight: Opening scene, Interrogation scene, Chase scene, Two Face final scene, and "Batman has no limits."

The Dark Knight Rises: Prison escape, Batman reveal scene, Breaking scene, and Bane's speech to Bruce.

Either the truck chase in TDK or the Battle for Gotham in TDKR.

The entire trilogy? Tumbler/batpod chase, The Dark Knight. With the truck flip as the crowning achievement.

love this scene, to many this scene NAILED Two Face the character and what he is and should be about, i loved how with the Dark Knight just when Joker gets arrested and you think the movie is gonna get dull, boom here comes Aaron Eckhardts Two Face, he was awesome. Sure he didn't have a full movie to him self like most people wanted, but id say for the amount of time we did see him as Two Face, it was well worth it and perfect imo.
Also loved the scene with Ras revealing him self to Bruce at his birth day party, The Dark Knight in general has so many , regarding TDKR.... Banes first fight with Batman is prob my favorite fight scene in recent memory, Batman and Catwoman fighting Banes thugs, and Banes take over of the Stock Market, as well as Banes dialogue with Daggett.

So many to choose from all 3 of the movies imo.
