So interesting to hear something from another perspective. The difference in cultures is amazing.

Well, that was interesting.
Alighieri put a lot of work into The Inferno - it has certainly left a lasting impression on society.
I think I will wait to listen to the other two parts at a later date - for now I am eager to get to the fourth book in the Odd Thomas series Odd Apocalypse by Dean Koontz

It's not bad, mind you. Just slow at the start - I have to admit though, I was listening to the beginning of the audio book after going to bed so i kind of nodded off somewhere

I'm starting over tonight

EDIT: Actually it starts right off, but it gets very descriptive of this and that - been a while since I listened to a Koontz book, and that may be it. But I am enjoying it

I finished Odd Apocalypse and thought it was pretty good to get back to the world of Odd - Koontz picked right up with the character as if he never left off - it had enough reminders of what had gone on in the previous books to refresh my memory.
Odd is up to his regular smart-ass self, making people get frustrated with him so that they open up their mouths a bit more than they ought to lol.
This one is very strange and hard to figure out where it's going at first, but pays off in the end.

My next audio book is Monster Hunter Vendetta by Larry Correia which is the second book in the MHI series.

been smashing through the first law trilogy by joe abercrombie, for some reason it just grabbed me and hasn't let go. about 3/4 of the way through the second one.

finished the stars my destination/tiger, tiger, which was awesome, in that 50's sorta cute/innocent way. although gully foyle is a timeless anti-hero.

anyone ever heard of this danish book we, the drowned? got it on a kindle daily deal for like 2 bucks, about some danish port town or something, has ridiculously good reviews.

I finished Monster Hunter Vendetta And I'm glad I decided to read more of this series.
That one was pretty fun to listen to - had a lot of cool characters in it, and expanded on the ones in the first novel - now onto the third in the series (since I already have it loaded up)

I have now grabbed just about every vonnegut book on my kindle for less than 3 bucks each, also grabbed John dies at the end by David wong, finishing up the first law trilogy now. It isn't as good as asoiaf or anything, but it is damn entertaining and has an ending already.

rereading the 10 book series- A tale of the Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson - On this reread I have decided I enjoy it more then Game of throne series.

Finished Monster Hunter Alpha and it was pretty good - it told the story of the man in charge of the Alabama MHI and I like this series very much.

Next I think I will listen to 'They Have Killed Papa Dead!': The Road to Ford's Theatre, Abraham Lincoln's Murder, and the Rage for Vengeance by Anthony S. Pitch

Finished 'They Have Killed Papa Dead!' and there is quite a bit of information that I haven't head before there. I guess he did a lot of research into various documents from people who were there within a certain radius of the events and those related to them.
History is interesting stuff.

Next I have a very short audio book (one and a half hours) called Unsolved Serial Killings by R. J. Parker
And after that for 9/11 I am going to listen to the controversial book No Easy Day by " Mark Owen", Kevin Maurer - that's the one about the Bin Laden mission as told by the second SEAL through the door. The unauthorized book that has everyone so upset.

EDIT _ Ok Unsolved Serial Killings was a PoS book - it's about as fascinating as listening to someone reading the dictionary - It should have been called "Serial Killers for Dummies"
The only people who could be interested in this book would be people who have never ever heard the words Serial Killer in their entire lives - I'm talking "See Spot run. Run, Spot, Run!" level readers. And even they might be bored with it,

Finished No Easy Day yeah I listened to it all afternoon.
Good book - I couldn't tell what secrets he supposedly gave away - there was new information about contingency plans, but nothing one wouldn't expect as they try to cover all foreseeable options - no plan is perfect, and improvisation must be done as smoothly as possible - these guys train in such a way as to keep on going no matter what.

Oh - actually I did find something that should probably have remained top secret.

I'd check it out if I were you, especially if you have an interest in the Founding Fathers, like I do (PoliSci grads represent, yo) -- so far, pretty great (but, then again, what do you expect? It's Benjamin "Freaking" Franklin writing an autobiography

). After I finish this one, I'm going to go try and find a good book on Thomas Jefferson, even if I know quite a bit about him already. I believe my ancestor's last words were: "Jefferson lives."
