I've only ever seen Gina Carano in Haywire, and I thought she did a fine job. There wasn't a whole lot of acting to be done in that one, but what there was seemed good to me.

Chris Nolan is top man over there, but after three Batfilms and after producing the Superman reboot Man of Steel, he’s gotten spandex-clad protagonists out of his system. After Nolan, the studio then offers everything else to Harry Potter director David Yates (who is now keen on Tarzan) and Ben Affleck, who has become a major director with Gone Baby Gone, The Town, and the upcoming Argo. Just because the studio wants Affleck doesn’t mean he will do the movie, and several sources tell me he might take a meeting, but that’s it.

Ben Affleck would do great as a director but I honestly don't feel he should tackle a project like this. He's been doing gritty realistic crime dramas that are more up his alley.

Also "Argo" looks fantastic

But pay Affleck enough money and he'll jump on board... so Nevermind

Interesting choice, i have liked Afflecks movies, but like someone previously said, this would be a totally different ball game compare to the smaller scale crime dramas he has done.

Like sshuttari said, with enough money, he'll probably do it. The fact that he might take a meeting says he's some-what interested. The guy is a comic book fan and good friends with Kevin Smith. That part of him is interested.

Ben is a comic fan, which is a definite plus. Getting some credit as a successful director of summer blockbusters rather than just artsy films wouldn't hurt his resume, too.

As for his relationship with Kevin Smith, that's more or less over with. Ben's wife, Jennifer Garner doesn't like Kevin at all, so they're not allowed to hang out anymore. They do discuss work from time to time, though. If he took the job of directing JLA, I suspect that he would seek out Smith's input. Heck, half the cast of Argo were in Red State. Ben clearly continues to value Kevin's opinion in regards to film making.

I still remember when WB wanted him to play Batman during the Batman vs Superman phase.

But if anyone is wondering Ben Affleck > Zack Snyder

Anyday!

I would agree if this movie were smaller in scale, much like the Town... but everything Snyder does is visually mind blowing and MOS looks incredible, I'd take take Snyder on this project any day over Afleck, even with his penchant for slow motion and his missteps with Sucker Punch and the Owl movie. Afleck is making a reputation for himself as a good director, this would probably take him a bit out of his comfort zone as far as being an effects laden action film, which he admitted was one of the reasons he passed on MOS.

If he's not busy after working on the next Star Trek J.J Abrams would be a great choice for starting this franchise, or Cloverfield/Let me in director Matt Reeves would also be a solid choice... both could bring a unique and visually stunning version of the JLA to the big screen.

Ben Affleck says he's not working on the Justice League movie

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movie...edium=referral

"I'm not working on the Justice League," Affleck is quoted as saying. "One of the problems with entertainment web sites is that they need to fill pages, and that's how rumours get started."

He added that "Justice League sounds really exciting, but it's not something I'm working on."

Of course, he seems to be leaving a door open with those quotes. Just because he's not working on the film right now, doesn't mean he won't be at a later time. If he does not direct, who do you think should take on the project?

That is extremely odd. While it's true that The Wachowskis are into comics, the ones they claim to be in to are not of the JLA variety. After sitting through those awful sequels to The Matrix, I wouldn't trust them to go anywhere near the Justice League. Between what they did to V For Vendetta and Speed Racer, it's very clear that they have no regard for source material, too.

Oh, and The Wachowskis are not brothers anymore. They're brother and sister. Snip, snip...

To me Justice Leauge appealing of a project, there won't be Bales Batman or probably Cavills Superman, Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern failed pretty badly, so it will probably completely new actors for Batman,Superman and Green Lantern, one of the main reason Avengers was so appealing and successful was because we saw each hero have his own movie that took place in the same world and we saw how they all ended up in the same film, with this Justice League there won't be any buildup what so ever, just a movie with Batman, Superman,GL,Flash and WW just thrown into one movie, sure it sounds cool but idk just doesn't feel or sound as cool as to what Marvel did with the build up to the Avengers and the world they created with it.

The Wachowskis in the Running to Direct Justice League Movie?

Following yesterday's comments by Ben Affleck that he is not working on the Justice League movie comes word that "The Matrix" trilogy helmers Andy and Lana Wachowski may be in contention for the job as well.

According to Moviehole, "Warner Bros are apparently jazzed with “Cloud Atlas”, and love that it’s as much a spectacle as it is a showcase for the immense ensemble involved, so it makes sense the W’s are under consideration."

Besides bringing the blockbuster "Matrix" trilogy to the big screen, the Wachowkis co-wrote and produced the graphic novel adaptation V For Vendetta, and directed, wrote and produced Speed Racer. Warner Bros. will release their Cloud Atlas in theaters on October 26.

Will Beall is writing the script for Justice League, which is expected to include such popular characters as Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and The Flash.

Do you think the Wachowskis would be a good fit for this project?
