Is January Jones still gonna play Emma Frost because in all seriousness she was yes hot but,she seemed miscast. Likely better then Alice Eve. When I think of Emma Frost Jones does not come in my mind.

Too me Emma Frost is sex beautiful and wise. January Jones made her seems less then what i had in mind for the character. I think the rest of the cast was just perfect. Its just am hoping get a new Frost.

Have Beast travel back to the 1960s on a mission to prevent an assassination (have JFK's assassination as just one on a list of many). Having an older Beast who has UN Ambassador, who has seen the horrors of the future meet his younger self could make for some interesting scenes but also keep the film focused on the First Class cast and not upstaged by the 2000s cast. Have just one scene with the future with the majority of the film set in December 1963.

The X-Men succeed and Beast returns to the future to see that nothing has changed. This would spinoff into a final Wolverine film that is set in the future, do an end credits scene to tease this. The Wolverine film could feature older characters from XM3 being hunted down by Sentinels.

Allow for a third "First Class" film.

2013 The Wolverine
2014 X-Men: Days of Future Past
2016 Wolverine: Enemy of the State
2017 3rd X-Men: First Class film
2020 X-Men / Fantastic Four Team-Up Film

So then there would be three separate trilogies but they would all be connected. And could possibly start another trilogy where an X-Men team and the rebooted Fantastic Four team up.

Actually if DOFP is the rumoured storyline it seems to me their looking for an easy way to reboot the history so they can include popular characters like Storm, Shadowcat and Cyclops again without having to deal with the first 3 films.

I can see it now you'll hear a line something like:

"Just by coming back we've already changed history as we know it"

And then the final scenes will tease someone like Cyclops.

They better cast a real hottie for Rachel though.

Hey, just as long as X-Men: Origins and X3 is erased, I'll be more than happy.

This is gonna be like Ridley Scott making Prometheus and erasing the AvsP movies.

The Wolverine won't allow "Origins" to be erased.

No, but like Freddy, as long as you keep believing in him, he can enter your dreams.

Well then you shouldn't have paid to see The Avengers then because you know Tom Rothman/Fox is going to do that.

The potential foreign gross alone is reason enough for Fox to go ahead with an eventual team up. The Avengers has made $844,600,000 internationally. If they could earn a quarter of that they would be very happy as Last Stand made $225 mil overseas. They want to keep the rights and if WB is going to do a Justice League film and Disney is going to do Avengers 2, 3 and probably 4 then Fox isn't going to be left out. They did make two Alien vs Predator films.

Avengers was planned with Iron Man 1 and they did it so all the other characters were setup in the same Universe.

Right now the X-Men films are there own entity with no cross-overs. It would be bad to through FF into the mix. Especially (as Nick mentioned) FF movies sucked.

They have a good thing going with First Class don't ruin it.

In a surprise move, X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn has elected not to helm the upcoming sequel, X-Men: Days of Future Past. Deadline is reporting that, among those being considered to replace him, is X-Men and X2's Bryan Singer, who also produced Vaughn's 2011 film.

Scheduled for release on July 18, 2014, X-Men: Days of Future Past boasts a script by Simon Kinberg and is said to be inspired Chris Claremont and John Byrne's comic book storyline that ran in Uncanny X-Men #141 and 142 back in 1981. "Days of Future Past" introduced the idea of an alternate future for Marvel's mutants that grew out of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants killing an important senator, leading to a future where all mutants are hunted by Sentinels.

Vaughn is rumored to instead move forward with his proposed feature film, The Secret Service, an original property that re-teams him with Kick-Ass creator Mark Millar. He will still maintain a creative connection, however, to X-Men: Days of Future Past, remaining aboard as a producer.

BRYAN SINGER RETURNS:

http://www.deadline.com/2012/10/brya...ture-past-fox/

Quote:
Bryan Singer has just closed his deal to return to the director’s chair for X-Men: Days Of Future Past, the next installment in 20th Century Fox‘s superhero series. The ink is still drying on the deal, we’ve learned. Matthew Vaughn was to direct the sequel to the hit spinoff X-Men: First Class, but we told you last week he was stepping back; word is he is near a deal to produce this one instead along with writer Simon Kinberg and Lauren Shuler Donner.

Singer launched the X-Men feature franchise with the first two superb films and has been a guiding influence in this spinoff by writing the treatment and producing. Fox already has the script for X-Men: Days Of Future Past, and set to return is Fox’s First Class cast that includes Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Jennifer Lawrence. The studio hopes to make the July 18, 2014 release date it set for the sequel.

I've always preferred Vaughn's treatment of the X-Men universe over Singer's. Then again, having Singer take over is still better than Ratner (oh god).

Bryan Singer is returning to the franchise he abandoned all those years ago. I wonder how much he regrets Superman Returns.

Loved the first two X-Men movies, especially X-2, I'm sure he'll do this justice.
