Default Finding Nemo 2 -2016

'Finding Nemo 2' in the works for 2016 release

http://www.nme.com/filmandtv/news/fi...release/275996

According to The Hollywood Reporter, original director Andrew Stanton will return for the follow-up, which is being lined up for release in 2016.

Released in 2003, Finding Nemo grossed more than $878 million (£562 million) at the worldwide box office and won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature. Actors including Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Brooks, Alison Janney and Geoffrey Rush leant their voices to the film's menagerie of sea creatures.

After Finding Nemo, Stanton's next film as director was 2008's WALL-E, which also won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature. He made his live-action debut with this year's John Carter.

Finding Nemo 2 will be produced by Lindsey Collins, who also worked with Stanton on WALL-E and John Carter, with a script by relative rookie Victoria Strouse. Casting announcements have yet to be made.

Meanwhile, news of Finding Nemo 2 has sparked renewed interest in a fourth Toy Story film from Pixar. Last year (2011), Tom Hanks told the BBC that a sequel was being "worked on", but no further information has emerged.

Guess after John Carter epic fail it's time to go back to the animation for Andrew Stanton.... nonetheless I loved the first one so I'm excited to see this.

Ok then. I guess. I'll give Stanton the benefit of the doubt at this point.

Sure I guess, but I really don't like that Pixar is just resting on sequels now.

Hehe. And then name a movie "Incredibles 2" that's really about the characters from Cars.

F*** OFF! Finding Nemo 2?!?! Seriously? Finding Nemo is easily the studio's most overrated film, and now they're making a sequel? Damn it! What happened to the Pixar that made exciting new films like The Incredibles and WALL-E? Granted, I loved the Toy Story sequels, but what's the point in Finding Nemo 2? Where are they really gonna take the story? Needless to say I am extremely disappointed.

P.S. If they make a Toy Story 4, I may just kill someone. The last film ended the series perfectly; let the series go with dignity.

I love Finding Nemo, but a sequel? Why? What story would be worth telling? And also, to add onto what has already been said, how is there not a sequel to The Incredibles yet? That is the franchise that was set up perfectly for a sequel or a trilogy.

Director Andrew Stanton, Albert Brooks and Ellen DeGeneres are returning for Finding Dory, the sequel to Pixar‘s 2003 pic that has been long in the works. Disney has set a November 25, 2015 release date for the movie, which will take place about a year after the original film and focus on Dory (DeGeneres), the blue tang fish who helped Nemo find his way home in the first pic. Finding Nemo won the Best Animated Feature Oscar and is now fourth-highest-grossing animated film worldwide. Stanton returned to the fold in July, and DeGeneres signed on soon after. “There is no Dory without Ellen,” Stanton said in the release today announcing the date. “One thing we couldn’t stop thinking about was why she was all alone in the ocean on the day she met Marlin. In Finding Dory, she will be reunited with her loved ones, learning a few things about the meaning of family along the way.”

It's good to know the sequel to Pixar's most overpraised work well revolve around their most annoying character.

Can't f***ing wait.

I kinda feel like they said all they needed to say with this film. Same goes for Monsters Inc. Why not make the sequel to The Incredibles that everybody is waiting for?

Default For those who like Nemo!

I am one of the guys who totally loved the film! Not just the character, but the plot and voice cast. Not sure you guys knew, but in Latin "Nemo" means nobody or no-one, maybe a reference to that famous Jules Verne book "20,000 leagues under the sea"...
