I personally have not seen the film, nor do I know anyone that has, but one of my theories on this movie is that JGL's character works for the League Of Shadows to keep tabs on Batman.

Saw a midnight screening last night, havn't been to bed yet, my review will be up when I can think of a way to put together everything I saw into words. I can honestly say that I cannot give a rating right now, as it would be completely biased and given without second thought. In short; there are just sooooo many memorable moments in this film, sooooo many amazing scenes to think of and obsess over. Bane literally steals the show everytime he's on screen to a point where I actually found myself wanting to see more of him when he wasn't on-screen. And hey, now I finally know how he got those Tumblers, lol. Ever since I saw the trailers I wondered how he'd get his hands on some. Anyway, I actually found myself liking Bale's Batman a lot more this time around than the other two films combined and hey; I even thought his voice was better! lol. I wasn't completely sold on Hathaway's Catwoman but got used to her after a while and actually enjoyed her scenes with Wayne/Batman. The ending half-hour is probably some of the best and most memorable **** I've seen in ages, I was literally on the edge of my seat. I need to get to bed now, but seriously, if I'm able, I'm definitely game for another midnight showing!

The Dark Knight Rises: --/10 (Honestly, I'd be biased of me)

The ending is indeed epic. As I said in my review, that will dominate most of the discussion.

I understand. It's almost impossible to discuss the third act without spoiling it. WB has done a wonderful job of keeping spoilers to a minimal. People will be very surprised by how it all ends.

Was so tempted to go the download the movie from people passing TDKR around on a pirate copy but no I could not see a movie early by the Pirate down load route. Its just so hard to wait another week. I am hoping my friends day will get a theater copy a couple days early so can see it by Wed.

Why? It's almost useless to see a movie early. You can't even discuss it with others. That's where most of the fun lies, especially if you're on a forum based around movies.

Yes, that reason is why I would completely avoid seeing a movie early. NO!

I don't care if I see the movie a year early with NOBODY to talk to...I'll just create an imaginary friend and discuss it with them. Not going to let something so insignificant keep me from a movie, especially with the opportunity is there.

I still hate you, Tolkien.

I'm not saying you should AVOID it. I don't believe I even worded it that way. Read carefully, MasterChief. My point was that you shouldn't be so envious. This is coming from a guy who sees a lot of movies early--and for free, too.

Ooooh, my bad. I read it completely out of context. My bad.

Based on these reviews, Nolan must have sold his soul to the devil. I am convinced.

I wasn't mocking your theory it's just amusing to read it after seeing the movie... That's all.

I'm really glad Tolkien held back his review for now. This is one of those types of movies that all the hype gets whipped up into a frenzy and every review for the first week or two proclaims the movie as the greatest movie that has ever hit the big screen. I remember reading several of those types of reviews for Revenge of the Sith and we all know how that turned out after all the hype calmed down. I hope this is a great movie, but I really want to see less hysterics for this and more down to Earth reviews. Maybe it's worth the 10/10, but I'm always skeptical at the beginning. As someone who really isn't a comic book fan, and doesn't really care about the characters (sorry, I didn't grow up idolizing any super-hero) I just want a good entertaining movie. I hope this is good - but I don't buy into all the hype until after the dust has cleared and the 10/10 or 5 stars or whatever reviews have not let up.

I've been writing my review for two days now, and realized that I had sooooo much to say. So when I do post it I'll do it on my blog and post the link here. I know my opinion is definitely biased right now and I'm not ignorant enough to deny that. Why do you think I haven't even rated it in the poll above. But honestly, I'm definitely seeing it again on Friday, I still have my tickets, any maybe then I'll be able to get a better view of the entire picture and find some common ground in which to write with.

Agree completely. I totally respect the way Tolkien is going about his review, regardless of how he'll ultimately rate it.
