I don't know about the art style but I will be forcing my daughter to watch this with me. (She'll be one in October.)

What is wrong with 2D format for a Ninja Turtles Toon. Batman Brave and The Bold works great. I just don't like the toon turtles they give us anymore. I'll just watch the classic ones I have on dvd.

Premiere date is September 29th. ALSO, Rob Paulsen, who voiced Raphael in the `87 series, is voicing Donatello in this series. For that reason alone, I will be checking out the show.

This like this show makes me sad that my children will never experience the joys of retro cartoons from my childhood. They may watch DVDs or downloads but they won't go to school and talk about them and wait a week for the next episdoe. My kids will probably be watching CGI rubbish like this.

I'm going to watch this show but I have no faith it'll be good after seeing the trailer.

Kids don't care about television. They're too busy with video games and the internet. It's why a show like Legend of Korra only has 12-to-13 episodes per season while back in the day any run of the mill cartoon had 65 episode seasons.

Maybe it was different in the UK, but the purpose behind 65-episode seasons was to air new episodes everyday. The `80s and `90s over-saturated the market. It's the reason why Nick, Disney, and Cartoon Network are the main providers of animation these days. They are the survivors.

Come to think of it, we did get some shows two or three times a week. I remember watching the same 10 episodes of one show over and over before they finally gave us another block of 10 or so. It got annoying when I was getting older.

I gave up on Digimon season 3 because of that very reason. I've since watch every english dubed Digimon episode and season 3 was the best by far but thanks to the repeats over and over I just couldn't watch it as a kid.

Anime is different. By the time the shows get exported, the series has been on the air for a few years.

that is very true

back in the 80's and 90's, with the exception of toons that ran specifically on saturday morning's, you got new episode's mon-fri

and the 80's turtles is a perfect example of such

it's a shame it ain't the same nowadays

Very few people would watch. Times have changed. There's a lot more distractions now.

Just realized we're 2 weeks away from the premiere. They're giving it the Legend of Korra time slot. 11am on Sat.

Watched the first few episodes over the the week - love it! Veyr happy with this incarnation of the franchise. Though it is a little weird that the original voice of Raph is now Donnie's - weird as in I keep linking that voice back to Raph.
