I'm a journalist major and I write reviews for my school. I get press screening. It's good though I write rough drafts here and I get good ideas back and my final is turned in a week later.

Also, I had someone come up to me today...and tell me, the following, "Hey, did you know they're making a new Batman movie?" My reaction was kind of a bewildered...they are? As if I heard news that I was not aware of. "Yeah, it's called like Batman Rises or something? I can't wait to see that."

Also, I was able to find a snippet of a review, please take it with a grain of salt. Just because I know not everyone is obsessed with reading every single detail, I'll place this review in SPOILERS, even though it does NOT contain any spoilers.

The Gotham Stock Exchange scene is brilliant. It is done in the same style as the party crashing scene with the Joker, there is that same eery silence from the gatecrashing scene as Bane walks in and takes hold of the floor. That's all I can say, film is great. I've got a gag on me.

Tom Hardy steals the show as Bane, Bane is very charismatic, comes across as an intellectual snob which clashes with his appearance but I don't think he'll get a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nod as his character isn't as iconic as Ledger's Joker but he really, really should. When Hardy comes onto the screen, you cannot take your eyes off of him. He/Bane has a marvelous screen presence. Even some of the information I posted in the Bane thread is not entirely accurate after seeing the movie.

There was a standing ovation after the film finished and I don't think a dry eye in the place either.

If I had to say anything now, I don't think it would be fair as I am still gushing over the movie but I do think it's better than The Dark Knight for a couple of reasons, Batman/Bruce feels more fleshed out and has a complete arc to end his story and he isn't just playing second fiddle to the villain like he was in The Dark Knight plus the story has an epic feel to it especially when the "revolution" kicks off. Hathaway's performance felt like a throwback to the those actresses of Hollywood's golden years and she'll probably be the one to get Academy recognition.

Like everything, I'll treat it like a grain of salt until official word starts rolling out next week.

This, I did know. lol. I think it's just that with all of the boring out of place posts around here, it's easy to lose track of the 'actual' reviews. I've said it before, why don't the mods start deleting useless banther within review threads and only leave reviews and discussions directly related to said reviews. We need new rules for those threads.

Useless banter as in not talking about the movie i agree yes needs to be delelted. A guy name Nightwing comes to mind

I don't think any mods are in the habit of flat out deleting posts that are off topic because a majority of them aren't, and almost all the ones we do delete are from the spambots. However as you've probably seen we have no problem closing a thread if it really goes off the rails, ending up with insults and the like. Then someone can restart another thread on the same topic from scratch. If a thread gets a little off topic, so be it, but I think it's better to ignore those posters and have other members try to get the discussion back on track rather than having the mods indiscriminately delete posts they don't find useful.

hey so i was checking out the toys for this movie, what are your guys thoughts on the stealth suit? Think thats something to do with the last act of the movie?

Stealth suit? It's probably just for the action figures and not in the movie, though i could be wrong and he does change suits towards the end.

Yeah check it out, i know people were noticing that some of the toys batmans mask was different to, my guesses were obviously bane destroys his other one, but im wondering if batman uses the same gas bane does to beat him

I have not seen any 'stealth suit' nor read anything credible about this 'stealth suit' beyond seeing the toys aimed for children under 10.
