Ughhh. I think the biggest problem with the movie is that Cruise can't sing (and I'm a big Cruise fan).
I'm surprised the Paul Giamatti is associated with this... I wonder if he's embarrassed now that he's probably seen the trailer?

Could the Glee phenomenon finally be dying off?

I saw it yesterday, and didn't think it was awful. In fact, I loved both the soundtrack and Tom Cruise's performance. His renditions of "Pour Some Sugar On Me" and "Wanted Dead or Alive" are some of the highlights.

I actually downloaded the soundtrack after I saw it.

I loved when Craig Ferguson was making fun of this movie last week. "Yeah, because nothing says hair metal like creepy little Tom Cruise!" Hahahaha so true.

Apparently Tom Cruise sings into Malin Ackerman's ass?

This just looks like a long 80's rock themed episode of Glee. Not my cup of tea. Pour some sugar on me? Is this in 3D?

The ironic part is that Don't Stop Believin' is the song this movie ends on.

Just goes to show you, just because one musical makes a nationwide impact, doesn't mean that they all will. Plus, there's always been a small fanbase for musicals compared to the other genres to begin with, so it wasn't a surprise that it'd end up being less than famous. The height of the musical movement passed it's prime a few years ago. Now anything other than Glee (and maybe Smash, if all goes well on NBC) won't make it very far. Too bad too, because Anna Kendrick's "Pitch Perfect" is coming out soon and she's got an awesome voice. So does Brittany Snow.
