That's it, it's the videos. I've noticed that when I try to listen to the songs outside of the videos, I find them rather forgettable and bland. But when I watch the videos, I enjoy them a lot more.

People take her too seriously. Most of her songs and videos are humorous. I like her because she's light-hearted and cute. Adele and Lady Gaga are the true female artists of this era. But just because Katy Perry isn't at their level doesn't mean I will belittle her. I love The Beatles, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy The Monkees as well.
