This game looks incredible. Everything is so fluid.
Glad they're doing so much to enhance the gameplay, because by the time I got to Revelations, I was seriously sick of this series. This, however, is bringing me back.

That video is really cool.
I played it at E3 for a short period. Solid game. |

Did you get to play the naval warfare demo? I'm really intrigued by that element. How's it handle?

Nope. All I had the privilege of playing was a part where you're stalking other characters.

I know a few people who were suffering from franchise fatigue and haven't played Assassin's Creed Revelations. I want to know how they'll deal with that in AC3, Brotherhood ended with quite the cliff hanger. I'm curretly playing though Revelations so I'm hoping it's show some sort of answer to that cliff hanger.
Are we 100% sure that Desmond is Connor? Where I am right now in Revelations I'm finding it hard to work out why they'd put him back in and into a new person. I remember in AC2 Desmond asked why it was a new person and not Altaïr and the in game reasons were a little weak. |

It been stated that Altair and Ezio were on opposite sides of Desmond's family tree. No word on where Connor falls. But they had to end up in the New World eventually.

In Brotherhood Desmond's mind snaps so much that in Revelations he can't even leave the animus. So why would they put him in the animus again for a 3rd descendant? That's why I was wondering if Connor is someone else in the animus, unless it's been confirmed it is Desmond. |

It's confirmed to be Desmond. And perhaps we should let the game explain why he has to go back in. I'm pretty sure the developers haven't overlooked that fact.
![]() As for your first question, in the first game it was the Templars using Altair's memories to find the artifact. They weren't interested in training Desmond. In the second one they broke him out and used Ezio memories of training to, in turn, train Desmond. That's why you started out with Ezio before he became an Assassin. They wanted Desmond to learn as he had learned.

That's really cool and it's obviously great news for the game, in terms of authenticity.

So Connor is going to speak his native language with the other natives. Can I turn that off? I know a lot of people played AC2 in Italian for the more authentic feel but I like to understand what people are saying and I'm not much of a reader.

I don't think you can turn it off, Alien. It's only for part of the game. Personally I think it's kind of cool they did that.
And no experience playing this on PC Franklin. Though I haven't heard any major complaints, though I would imagine that the free running controls might not works so well with a keyboard.

Don't gt me wrong, I like that they did it. I just think it should've been an opton like in AC2.

I've played them all on PC, mouse and keyboard. I prefer it, but most people opt out for a controller. The visuals are better on PC. I'd say they're some of the better ports (although that's not saying much), considering they delay the PC version every time.
I prefer the mouse and keyboard. I like being to customize my keys and separate them. I also enjoy being able to make split second decisions on where I leap to by having the ultra sensitive and precise use of a mouse, something I can never do with a joystick. It's the same reason that I also prefer the Batman games on PC, because I can switch between enemy targets lightning fast.

Episode 4. About the Land and Sea.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...&v=Xp8uLC9KUZM VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:
IGN has put out a video as well. This one talks more about the origins of this installment and how they went about revamping the game engine. http://www.ign.com/videos/2012/09/19...eed-iii-part-1 Though there wasn't too much more footage than what I've already seen, this Naval Combat aspect has got me pumped. I love the Horatio Hornblower series and Master and Commander. My dad and my godfather would talk about marine warfare in all it's facets. I really hope it's as exciting as it looks. And everything about AnvilNext looks pretty impressive. I like the that there are seasons and weather affecting the navigation and combat. Running through house and moving hay bales, haha, simple but nice twist on familiar game play. (This is only going to get worse at the weeks wear on. I apologize in advance. :p )

No Jesper Kyd for AC III. This actually makes me a little sad. He was such a good fit for the style and tone of series.
