Here's hoping I do, too. Though I've liked all the other Dirk Pitt novels I've read so far. But this one's plot sounds particularly fun.

I can't compare it to the others because it's the only Dirk Pitt novel I've read, but it is fun.

Just finished Firestarter- I think that is one of his best. It's well written and scarily descriptive. I really enjoyed it - I think more than the movie, which in itself is not a bad interpretation.

Next I think I will change gears and listen to Serial Killer Couples by R. Barri Flowers
I thought that that would be interesting - I am fascinated by the subject matter and have found when watching TV programs on the subject, that when two people are involved, there usually is an escalation of events that one person alone would not usually reach - misery loves company. When two are involved it is either one directing the other to their will, or both fueling each others depravity.

Just finished Mistborn: The Final Empire. I'm gonna start on Roverandom by JRR Tolkien as an easy read before something heavier.

Finished Serial Killer Couples - rather gruesome as true crime killer examinations go - but really interesting at the same time as to how low two people can sink.

Next I think I will listen to Seal Team Six by Howard E. Wasdin, Stephen Templin
Another inside look into the secret elite response team

How's that book so far? It's somewhere on my to-read list.

I'm currently reading Joe Golem and the Drowning City by Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden. I bought it because I love Hellboy (by Mike Mignola), and I thought this was a comic book. So far, so good.

It's very interesting. There are some intriguing arguments made and worth the read, though there are couple rather misogynistic comments that made me raise an eyebrow. Granted it was the 60's.

I enjoyed it quite a bit overall. It definitely had an Indiana Jones-like quality to the plot, especially with the Fourth Empire/Reich organization that the bad guys were a part of. But one thing I've noticed about Clive Cussler, that I sort of forgot about since I hadn't read one of his books in a while before Shock Wave, is that he loves going into detail about the scientific stuff in his plots, which can sort of bring things to a halt. And his dialogue can come off as a bit too expository at times. But, as always, it was a fun read.

But I find it interesting that this is the only Dirk Pitt you've read, since it takes place fairly late in the character's timeline.

This makes 15 out of 21 Dirk Pitt books read for me.
