PUT THE LOTION IN THE BASKET
|
Quote:
It was alluded to in the magically re-healing pig brain lemon cake Walter made last week and was shown again this week. I have no problem with this supposedly dead person dying and coming back, they explained well within the mythos of the show. and yeah chewie, looks like a syndication deal is going to come out of this. rad.

Good finale (Part 2 was better than Part 1), but it was still the weakest of the season finales so far. I'm glad the character who was supposedly dead for a few minutes came back to life, because I couldn't imagine the show without them. This last season, based on Letters of Transit, should be intense!

Imagine this, let's say we have a superhero with abilities A, B and C. Villain comes up with a way to kill our superhero with Substance X. Writers of this story introduces, out of nowhere, ability D, which counters the effects of Substance X in the next installment of the story MIRACULOUS. That isn't tying up loose ends, that's lazy writing. We've seen Olivia being shot in the head TWICE now, and neither of those amounted to anything. Olivia died the last time for a few minutes before Peter jumped back into our time line and told everybody what was going to happen. This time, she died for an even shorter period of time. The next time Olivia gets shot, or anybody gets shot, the tension immediately dissipates because, hey, on this show, nobody dies. I'm not saying everybody needs to die, or that someone has to die. But if you are going to shoot someone in the head, TWICE, then that person maybe should stay dead. It takes away tension, it takes away suspense, and it takes away any reason why we should care about a major character being shot. IN THE HEAD. I can't imagine the show without some of these characters either, but stop shooting them in the head and then bringing them back to life! I'm glad the only person that has stayed dead so far is Alternate Lincoln. At least he's STILL dead for as far as we know. So far, Olivia has come back from the dead, Astrid has come back from the dead, Broyles has come back from the dead, William Bell came back from the dead, even Peter came back from being non-existent. I guess, in a way, you can count Alternate Lincoln coming back from the dead too, since he was burned out of recognition. But, I can let that slide, because he was never fully dead in the first place.

The finale was shorter than I thought it would be. Wasn't it to be two parts? All I saw the first week was a one-hour Sprint commercial...

Told ya. I'm remaining positive-minded about this right now, since "Letters of Transit" was so good.

I feel the shows" heart and soul" and all things that made this show "good" was torn out of it during Season 4.
I am still watching the final season, as its an entire new plot and future stuff is interesting. The latest episode was very good, but I am willing to bet $100 the show will end with some lame time travel B.S that will bring them back to "current time" before the attack, and all the heartbreak drama will lose its impact.

What I think is pretty intriguing about where the story is now, is that it seems as if they're bringing the show full circle. Everything about Fringe started because Walter was willing to do anything to get Peter back, and now it seems like Peter is going to be willing to cross lines in order to bring Etta back. Even though there's no Etta in the Alternate Universe, this IS a sci-fi show. But I don't know how someone could be brought back to life after being blown up.

I am behind a season or so. The last episode I watched was the one where the evil dude (I can't remember his name or be bothered to look it up) had Olivia subdued in that room and wanted her to flex her powers. Not sure where to go to catch up on the show.

Stopped watching it by the end of season 4. That was a whole season of mess.

Calling it a "mess" is being polite. But it's the last season, I'll see it through.

Just start with season 5. Season 4 is such a mega disspoitment. I think Season 4 to me is a top contender for Top 5 Worst seasons of a overall Good show. Enough to ruin my overall enjoyment of the series. Some shows have weak seasons, but I dont dislike the show because of (Season 4 of Chuck is weak) but I still love the show.

I knew it'd only be a matter of time before Peter started to go bald.

I've just caught up with all of the episodes and...
Am I wrong in saying that Season 1 thru 3 and Season 4, 5 are feel like two completely different shows?

That's accurate, but I'm not minding it so much this season because so far, Season 5 has been amazing.

Season 5 is half/half with me so far, but yes, it feels like two completely different shows.

I'll say this for Season 5: I'm much more invested in the main story thread for the season than I was for Season 4's.

I'm somewhat more interested in the storyline than before, but only because I had almost no interest in season 4.
