Ok so this is the second tourney I wanted to do because... well because there's so many awesome fights that can come out of it.
A few caveats: This is a 64 person tournament which will end up being 5 rounds. Battles will be posted 2 at a time for the first few rounds and will run as long as they need to. I usually appreciate if people post their reasoning when voting... it's just more interesting. Consider all battles to be random encounters in which the terrain doesn't favor either side. I will try and post some factoids about the characters as a refresher or an educator for the minor ones. Characterization is important to consider but nobody just plain gives up and refuses to fight. All the matchups were set by using a random number generator so while there are some very cool ones there are some oddball ones or some squash matches as well. I will abstain my vote until last to break any ties - if my vote will create a tie I will not count it although I'll still post it. LET THE BATTLES BEGIN!!!

I don't know if this will work. Tourney threads have kind of lost steam here, but I'm definitely participate.
Stannis will learn that Lightbringer is just a plain old sword and will be crushed by the Greatjon. Meanwhile, Belwas lived a life in the fighting pits. he'd tear Craster to pieces. |

Personally I don't think you guys give enough credit to Stannis, he may not be quite as skilled physically as the Greatjon but I think his strategic mind would make up for it, my vote goes to Stannis on this one.
However Craster would be just decimated by Belwas. So... The Greatjon puts a hammer through Stannis' anvil 5-1 Belwas gets another scar from Craster 6-0 New battles in a few minutes

round 1 battle three EDDARD STARK
held his ground against the kingslayer so i doubt AMORY LORCH would stop him round 1 battle four THOROS OF MYR harder to predict this.. North of the Wall maybe MANCE RAYDER but Thoros was a tourney melee fighter a very good one and though it doesn't actually say i suspect there's a bit of the berserker about him ...also there's that flaming sword of his he has to gain points for that

Ned. No real contest there.
I think Mance is much deadlier one on one then we are led to believe. I think he would be able to take on Thoros. |
