Batman looks a lot thinner here than in the previous movies. I guess that's to make Tom Hardy seem bigger by comparison.

I also think that has to do with Wayne being an older, out of prime Batman as well. He's not at the top of his game, and therefore doesn't have the body to support being what he once was.

Let's keep in mind that MasterChief is exaggerating. It's only 8 years later. Bruce Wayne will still be in his '30s. Maybe 40 at the most. This isn't old geezer Bruce Wayne from DKR or Batman Beyond.

I'm guessing he will be 40, if not just short, like you speculated. Regardless, too old to live a life as a vigilante, especially one who takes the beating like he does.

In terms of catching a beating, i never understood how Ras al Ghul was able to go toe to toe with Batman during the finale of Batman Begins, guy has this massive body armor type suit and Ras Al Ghul just has his bare fists? Find it hard to believe that a man with his bare fists can deal damage to a guy wearing a heavy military type body armor suit

Armor or not, the man taught Bruce everything he knew. You can't top that with armor.

"3D is a misnomer," he laments. "Films are 3-D. The whole point of photography is that it’s three-dimensional. The thing with stereoscopic imaging is it gives each audience member an individual perspective. It’s well suited to video games and other immersive technologies, but if you're looking for an audience experience, stereoscopic is hard to embrace."

IMAX doesn't cost too much more typically. It's the 3D that really jacks up the prices. Considering most 3D outside of IMAX tends to make the movie look worse, or isn't even that noticeable, that extra cost is definitely a joke.

My theater is attempting to setup something along the same lines as Avengers. To show Batman Begins and The Dark Knight prior to the midnight release for this movie.

Yeah I hate 3D. Some of it definitely has to do with my glasses, but I just don't like the idea in general.

I was reading about The Dark Knight Returns and the animation film that is coming out this year, and I stumbled across this.

I'm tagging it for spoilers, just in case.

The upcoming Christopher Nolan film The Dark Knight Rises has been confirmed to take up the action eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, and involves a retired Batman coming back to take up the mask once more.

Hmmm.
