Probably the same crowd that will make American Reunion a hit or those fans needing to have Hang Over 3.
Too me comedies are the same old stuff remeshed. Does anyone else agree that comedy movies are the worst movies and we could do without as many comedies.

Well Yes but i grew up on too me funnier movies in the 80s and 90s and early 2000's but I think the last few years they just remesh the same concepts and same jokes. But the truth is I am an Action Movie, Sci-Fi and Fantasy Film watcher. I also am into animated films some what. Most comedies i save for netflex or blockbuster rental.

I agree to an extent of what RedVader is saying, Comedies these days are incredibly lame for the most part and aren't funny what so ever, i could name maybe 5 movies in the past 10 years that i found laugh out lough funny, no originality at all these days.

The whole Apatow crew that comes out with a comedy almost twice a year are some what humorous but no where near as funny as they are made out to be, i think 40 year old virging and Super bad are the only 2 i found somewhat funny.

Spaceballs,Billy Madison,Happy Gilmore,Swingers,The Big Lebowski,Office Space,Made and the list goes on, and thats not including movies like Blazing Saddles which came out before i was alive that i find hysterical.

The new wave of so called "comedic" actors aren't that funny imo and don't make for funny movies as a result.

The thing is Saturday Night Live use to crank out great comedians and those actors spawned off good comedies. Sandler himself these days also falls into the stale joke deal.
Not even the spoof comedies are funny anymore.
Its just sad Mel Brooks threw the book away on how they should make a spoof comedy funny.
The last two funny comedies I saw was not a comedy per say but it was Animated Feature's and it was . Kung Fu Panda 2 and Rango.

meh looks pretty stupid, not sure if Mcfarlanes random sense of humor will work well on the big screen, more suited for cartoons imo

I have a feeling Ted is going to turn out to be a funny movie. Trailers aren't everything (21 Jump Street's was pretty bad)

But 21 Jump Street didn't have a creepy teddy bear from your childhood...

For people who hate summer blockbusters - and Seth MacFarlane teddy bear movies - Oliver Stone has the perfect film for you:

VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:

July is very crowded this year. So, it will be tough for this to reach $100 million. But if people like it and it has enough legs it could happen. This film is no doubt the adult alternative in July.

All it tells me is that it mainly a Domestic killer at the BO and that movies like Hobbit and Batman 3 will really clean up internationally. I think world wide wise the movie will suffer.
Does anyone really think this could beat The Hobbit, Batman 3 or Avengers Worldwide wise.

Never under-estimate the Transformers crowd:

‘Battleship’ Goes To War Overseas: #1 Almost Every Country Where It Opened

Universal may have the last laugh after all now that its Battleship is opening overseas. For months the studio has fought media bad buzz about how risky this $209 million-costing military vs alien actioner from Peter Berg has been. And there’s still the possibility that, in the United States at least, it could become a disappointing ”John Carter in gunmetal grey”. But Battleship debuted Wednesday in Australia, Korea, Belgium, France, and Switzerland, and previewed in 11 other territories, “and we are off to a very good start,” a Universal exec tells me.

The Day One estimate for April 11th currently has the film grossing $7.4M. Best is that the film jumped to #1 in every market where it opened or previewed except France where it succumbed to an extremely popular local French film. And this despite a crowded international marketplace with The Hunger Games, Titanic 3D, American Pie Reunion, and The Wrath Of The Titans atop box office over Easter weekend.

It was an unorthodox, even daring, strategy for Universal to open Battleship internationally more than a month before it debuts May 18th in North America. But it may pay off. My sources project the film should steam past $300M foreign box office based on stats. Also, as the film prepares to open internationally Friday in a total 26 territories (40 countries) and then rolls to another 24 territories including big guns Russia and China, any fears that a rah-rah-USA patriotic film in 2D might not do well overseas have been allayed.

– The movie opened in Australia today and Battleship is #1 with an early estimate of $1.1M for the day, which is at the same level as Iron Man and Thor and twice as big as John Carter, and three times as big as Wrath Of The Titans

– In Southeast Asia, where extravagant sci-fi appeals to local audiences, Battleship is “dominating the box office with Korea leading the pack,” I’m told. Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand also had a very strong showing. In each of those countries, Batttleship opened to #1.

– In Korea, Battleship opened to $2.8M – the third biggest opening day of all time for an English language film. That’s behind only Transformers 3 and Shrek 3 even though Battleship is an original film which usually takes longer to gain traction overseas than sequels. It’s also the biggest opening for an English language non-sequel in Korea ever.

– Preview results in the UK were very strong. Battleship grossed $1.5M (£928K) for the day. As a comp, previews for Thor in the UK were £730K and Iron Man £670K. There’s another day of previews today before opening officially on Friday.

– France opened with $870K including previews. Battleship opened bigger than Hunger Games, John Carter and Wrath Of Titans.

– Belgium opened #1 with $132k, which is the biggest opening day of 2012.

Been a lot of advertisement for Battleship here and I know quite a few want to see it.

Think it looks a bit **** personally but now I'll end up seeing it with someone.

It has to be better then Battle LA. Its better already with Neeson in it. I however do think the people that made The Titans movies just didn't realize how cool he was and should have had him more bad a$$ then he was.

I didn't mind Battle L.A was a decent action film.

Went to see Wrath last week and that left a bit to be desired.

It does seem like there were parts of the movie missing. I think its they made Zeus seem weak. And if people look back on Zeus he was the most powerful of all the Titans.
Also where is Hercules because he was Zeus son as well.
