Default Chuckys makeover (child's play remake)

Its been said that "Chucky will get a slight reboot"

Being a hardcore childs play fan of the first 3 (more so the first 2)
I'm scared ****less of them royally screwing up chuckys look.
Its perfect the way it is.

The harder they try to make him look scary the more they will fail.

The only fear chucky gives off is the look of his innocence.
And their main goal with this movie is to bring back his fear factor.

How do you guys feel about this?

If the film's title is 'Chucky's Makeover', I will see this.

That's a bad idea. Honestly, I thought the series started really hitting its stride in the second part, and the third one is quite possibly my favorite entry. You can't take Chucky too seriously, he just can't be scary. It is patently impossible to make Chucky the killer doll scary. It worked in **** like Magic and that scene in Poltergeist but those were different movies entirely. It seems to me that the premise just doesn't give much room for actual scary stuff, I mean come on he's a doll. You just gotta punt him before he gets in slashing range and you'll be okay. It worked best when it was more tongue-in-cheek, like with part 3 and Bride. But Seed Of Chucky sucked, so maybe something different is needed. They better not have anyone else do the voice, though, Brad Dourif is absolutely ****ing perfect and cannot be replaced.

I loved the newer dark comedy ones, the old ones were great as well.

As long as the same guy is doing the voice, im down for it.

Is this really going to happen? Seems like I heard about this a while ago, and nothing has happened since.

Very nice post with a ton of informative information. I really appreciate the fact that you approach these topics from a stand point of knowledge and information
instead of the typical “I think” mentality that you see so much on the internet these days.

You made some good points there. I did a search on the topic and found most people will agree with your blog.
