Default Problem with my computer starting!

I went to turn on my computer like usual today, and all of a sudden it won`t start. It says this:

"windows could not start cause the following file is corrupt or missing:
<Windows root>\system32\hal.dll.
Please install a copy of the above file"

WTF? Can anyone help me???

If you restart does it still give you the error message? If so, there are a couple of ways to fix it, but if you're not experienced in doing so, it might be a little tricky.

How can I restart it, if it won`t turn on fully? Like the dell logo will go by, then it counts down from 30 seconds giving you two windows xp choices to choose from (no idea why), then usually the blue screen comes up with "windows" in the middle when the 3o seconds goes by, then you see my background, yadayada. But That blue screen part doesn`t happen like normally. Now Theres a black screen, with that weird msg i posted above. I tried safe mode and going back to the last good configuration, lt arrives at the same msg

Obviously you have access to another computer since you're able to post here. Download a program called "MiniPE" (you'll probably have to find it on a torrent site). It's a free program that's distributed usually via bit torrent that you can burn to a disk and boot to to get to your files without having to load Windows (sort of like Knoppix). If you have a thumb drive - then download the DLL from here and throw it on your thumb drive.

Plug the thumb drive into your computer, boot to MiniPE and use it to copy the DLL into the C:\Windows\System32 folder. If the file is there, overwrite it. Once you've got the DLL back into the folder, then reboot and that should fix the problem.

Glad you got it working - MiniPE is awesome.

Just a tip for the future - don't use Spybot - it's garbage. Don't even bother with Adaware either, both are completely insufficient against real spyware. Not even worth the resource usage.

This Problem is a Headache

Having problem with Files like Video ,Images ,songs Media files
The first it occurred in bittorrent while downloading .7Z file

Then started getting data error CRC in every bittorrnet downloads

It may sound weird Somehow it spread to Files,Images, videomediafiles in that drive
PC freezes when opening folder affected in that drive.
Videos shows only half of length , and player hangs if exceded half length

So my question??? after this above crap ,

The CRC files are probably bad files, but it might be due to an infection. I usually don't download anything that requires 7zip - it's just annoying to have to have a 3rd compression program when RAR and ZIP work just fine. I'd uninstall your bit torrent client - scan with Kaspersky for any infections, THEN scan with Webroot to look for any strange malware items, then reinstall the torrent client but use Vuze (www.vuze.com). Try that, and always check your torrent you're downloading with an AV program before you try unpacking it.

I would delete those files that are corrupt, run a system restore from a few days before you had issues, and then either stop using BT (unless you like mislabled, virused files) OR get sandbox and unpack everything into a sandboxed portion of your drive to prevent any future infections from pirated/publicly traded videos/music/software.
