It did top in the UK, but only 2 in the US. I think it was That's the Way I Like It by K.C. and the Sunshine Band. I know that the Bay City Rollers held the top spot the first part of '76 while BoRhap was tops in the UK, and that dorky trucker song Convoy did too. Maybe one of those?
