RAW IS OWEN... celebrating one of the best wrestlers in the 90s...
Austin would more likely show up on the 10th anniversary.

Anyways I'm getting tix for RAW in Toronto after No Way Out... that means:
1) I get to see JustinCredible! (If he isn't fired)
2) Break out the 'You Screwed Bret' Chants to Hebner, Vince and Has Been Kid
3) Boo the hell out of Chripple H and chant boring during his promos and matches.
4) Break out the 'ECW' chants during Lance, Dreamer, Spike and Raven matches!
5) Also planning on my 'I'd Rather be on Nitro', 'I Came For Wrestling, I Came To The Wrong Place', 'Who Books This Crap?', H as B een K id, also break out the Bugger King party hats/crownes!!!

This year has had a ton of great ladder matches. Some were spectacular, like Eddie/Edge on SmackDown.
But for 2003, I think they need to cut back on them a lot. I mean we had Taker/Jeff, Eddie/RVD, TLC IV(?), HBK/HHH at Armageddon, Eddie/Edge.....there is too much of a good thing. I think that was part of the reason they got rid of the harcore belt. After all, if you see Al Snow score a "strike" with his opponents testicles every week it gets old. Since the belt is gone, the Harcore matches they have had have seemed more special...(Trish/Victoria was interesting, and I would count the Street Fights at SummerSlam and Armageddon...).
Just a thought...

Well the Edge/Eddie match was a No DQ match that had ladders.
Good SD!, man Lesner was bleeding even if it was possibly fake. The Big Show/Lesner rematch will happen at RR, but a non-title. Hopefully it won't be predictable.
So is Taker going back to one of his old incarnations? Seems to be since they would so footage of his American Bad Ass and Big Evil Red Devil days if he was returning as his current state.

If you read it he says that he is a very busy guy and with their new cookbook and BBQ sauce coming out soon it would be hard to produce one each week. Also he's tired of internet sites coming up with stories and rumours with what's reported and when he mentions superstars names (liked what he saw, injury update, new wrestlers) he feels he shows favouritism. Even though that's not what its meant to be.

Vince and Linda probably think its the reason for Raw's low rating... ;)
What's going on in the WWE these days? I saw a bit once a while ago and there seemed to be 2 champs, HHH and Angle. So what's up and who's champ?
Kyle Katarn
01-08-2003, 03:13 PM
In a nutshell.....Raw and Smackdown are separate "brands" now, with their own champs. SmackDown has the WWE Title, with Raw having the World Heavyweight Title.

Rumor Killer
It has been reported from many trustful sources that Goldberg has had a meeting with Vince to sign. How can this be? They recentely met for the first time at Hotel and had a meeting. More meetings are to come..But there's a catch if he signs, he will have a short term contract. Meaning, he would only have to be around from Wrestlemania (2003) to the next PPV...Most likely headlining both..And if the man should continue (which you can count on it if he's comfortable with it) then he'll sign for longer. Problems? Goldberg only has heat against HHH, mainly everyone else is fine with him...I'll post if he does sign..Vince has been throwing alot of cash at him..very desperate man..Vince that is..
Austin meanwhile is already confirmed by Jr in the Ross Report to return very soon before Wrestlemania. Most likely at the 10th Anniversery from rumors. Either way, Austin should be back at the time of the Rumble or sooner. The Rock also will be returning before Wrestlemania..
Mick Foley is not returning any time soon. Reasons being, he's disgusted with the show.
Sting signing is another rumor going around..
Holly getting heat..
Kevin Kelly brings up the Bob Holly and Matt from Tough Enough situation. Droz feels that Holly went WAY over the line. Dr. Tom says Holly is like that with everyone and remembers Holly doing the same thing to Brock and Brock knocking Holly on his head. Droz exits. For those who do not know anything on the matter, there have been a lot of angry fans that have made their feelings clear on WWE superstar Bob Holly. The reason for it stems from last night's Tough Enough broadcast, an impromptu match involving the current cast and former cast members and trainers was started. During the match, Holly proceeded to victimize current cast member Matt, mauling him with stiff kinks and slaps, making no attempt whatsoever to protect him. The end result was a bruised and battered cast member who was swollen and bloodied. Holly has a well-known reputation of being stubborn and un-willing to help others in certain situations; this latest development has done nothing to help that, instead leaving a very shaken Tough Enough cast member and a lot of unhappy fans.
New York Daily News' Phyllis Furman reported that the UPN network's long term future is uncertain. UPN is currently in a severe "ratings slide", and its future could be grim if Fox does not sign their affiliate extension. The current deal with Fox expires at the end of the next season, but CBS head Les Moonves wants to extend the deal in order to bring long term stability to the network. If UPN were to be go bankrupt, the Smackdown! show would be in great jeopardy.
That's it...

Goldberg is a waste IMO
Austin can still help
Sting would not sign because he hates how Vince does things
I want to know why Matt of all people got his ass handed to him by Bob? I mean Matt of all of them is the one who acts with respect and dignity in everything he does as you saw when he still got up and shook Hardcore's hand. Matt was my favorite to begin with and after the last show he really earned even more of my respect
Goldberg ain't needed, there's too many WCW rejects about, ie. Scott Steiner - why?
Austin can come back, but only if he's gonna be entertaining again, no more of this psycho or "what" ****.
Let Holly do what he wants, he's funny. The Tough Enough Crew are dull and pointless - Maven's done nothing.

I don't watch Tough Enough so I can't comment...
But the Goldberg situation has him signing for a 2 fight deal.... or a 2 PPV appearence deal. I think Vince should reconsider doing this because fans might want to see more and Oldberg might up the price and ruffle alot of feathers in the locker room.
look vince should know better how many millions of dollars for Kevin Nash? For 13 seconds in the ring?
WWE has the talent already, they just need to use it properly!

Vince should have the Rock vs Goldberg match that is circling around, and should have the dreammatch of Goldberg vs Steve Austin. Would fans still like to see G vs SA? I hope that when SA returns, his character is back to the old Stone Cold to the bad ass attitude 'you cant do anything to me why? because thats the bottom line cause Stone Cold said so! WHAT!?!?!'
The WWE have not made any formal contact with any individuals to appear at the RAW 10th Anniversary as of yet. It is said that the creative team are still drawing up plans for the big show and that names should be finalized soon. Some names that have been mentioned include Bret Hart, Bobby Heenan, Lex Luger, Rena Mero, as well as more. It is possible that the WWE will not release any of the names that will be appearing on the show, simply to keep the show a secret from fans.
Staying on the RAW anniversary subject, there is still no word on whether the feed will be blocked on TNN in Canada, Initially, it was thought that the feed would definitely be blocked, but a few people have raised some doubts as to whether this will be the case. Keep checking back for more on this as it is released, a definite answer on the situation is expected by tomorrow night's show.
Reports have already been indicating that Jesse Ventura would make a return to the WWE if Vince McMahon offered him a good price. ESPN are now stating that Ventura is actually considering a return to the squared circle. A personal trainer has apparently been appointed to help Ventura get in shape if he were to return, and if this happened, Ventura would like to work a match with Brock Lesnar
Enough WrestleMania tickets are sold at this point for WWE to announce a sellout. As of this writing, the only seats available are in the nose-bleed sections. Any wrestling fans who don't have the internet missed out this year, as tickets don't go on-sale to the general public offline until this Saturday. WWE will likely soon announce something along the lines of a five minute sellout.
Next Tuesday's RAW 10th Anniversary special at The World in Times Square, New York, has officially been changed from one hour to two full hours on TNN. Still no word on some of the bigger names who will be returning from the past, but Ron "The Truth" Killings, Bobby Heenan, "Mean" Gene Okerlund, and The Rock are the only rumored names floating around at this point.
Bob Holly on Tough Enough Situation
In a recent interview with WWE.com, Bob Holly commented on the situation that has some of the wrestling community in an uproar. If you don't yet know, Bob Holly was a special guest trainer on Tough Enough 3 on last Thursday's episode. He worked a tag match with the contestants, and when he was tagged in to go head to head with contestant Matt, he stiffed him to the point where the contestant was left with a black eye and bruises all over his chest from the stiff chops.
From what was taken from the interview, Bob Holly had no remorse for the contestant and in fact was angry that the editors made him look bad. He explained that this is what happens in professional wrestling, people get bumps and bruises. Holly also mentioned that when he was a trainer on Tough Enough 2, he did the same to the male contestants and they didn't complain one bit.
"Hardcore" Bob Holly also mentioned that it was his choice to stiff Matt, no one made him do it. He also says that Matt doesn't need to be in the business if he can't handle the situation properly. Holly believes he doesn't hurt people physically, he hurts their pride.
Thanks to Kevin Green for sending in the following information:
Brock Lesnar, Edge, Matt Hardy, Kurt Angle, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas will all be hosting the The RAW party this Monday night, They are all expected to stay the night and participate in The RAW Tenth Anniversary special the following night.
UPN is set to air a "bloopers" special next Tuesday at 8p.m est. Apparently there will be footage from SmackDown! on the show.
Weird News
Currently on Seattle's 107.7 The End, they are holding an in studio contest where listeners who want to get WrestleMania tickets are letting the DJs drop bricks on their groin. Currently, one guy passed the leader who had seven, and now leads with ten. The bricks are about 4.2lbs, and after calculations, they said it was about 18lbs of pressure hitting their groin area.
My thoughts on Goldberg is that Vince should justify whether or not to keep him for all that money if the fans agree. Remember Mike Awesome?

2 Hour 10th anneversary show? GOOD! I have to work, and therefore won't be home till 9:30 anyway! :(
I don't get Holly. He beats the snot out of Matt, and the kid gets up and shakes the man's hand. It bothers him though. And because of that, Holly verbally tears him a new one on WWE.com! A-hole....wass up wit dat!?
The Boss is back tomorrow night....I wonder what this will lead to?
Hmmm.....Shawn says that HBK is dead on Confidential....then he comes back! Last night's show was about the 4 Horseman. And there's a rumor going around for a new generation of Horseman - with Flair managing HHH, Batista, and Randy Orton. All the parts to the puzzle are in place now, so we'll see.
Goldberg? Yippee skip.
LOL....I could not fully enjoy the Eagles game last night because of the Falcon's player named "Vick!" No wonder Foley is disgusted with the company. I would like to see Sting, but it ain't gonna happen as long as there's necrophilia and HLA every other week. I caught the end of SmackDown, and was hoping that Al was dead so the storyline with Al&Dawn would be too! :p
The negotiations between Bill Goldberg and the WWE have eased up a lot over the past few weeks. Many think that the original Goldberg vs. The Rock match at WrestleMania may not happen, even though the amount of hype about it that has been going around. The ball is in Goldberg's court now, and he believes that the WWE needs him more than he needs them.
The reason why the negotiations are at a standstill is due to the money Goldberg wants per appearance. His price is set very high because he can make large amounts of money in Japan per appearance, which don't involve much work. The WWE will have to make a lot of compromises in order to get Goldberg for WrestleMania.

Jericho needs to visit Winnipeg more often. Occasionally we get -30, rarely -40 days. Its been much warmer the last seven years than it usually was. Its not as cold as he makes it out to be. But it does make you tougher. Diane Keaton complained about the cold and became the butt of many jokes since she was here in the fall.
Shawn isn't going to say oh HBK isn't dead 'cause I'll be back in the WWF in a month with the nwo. Randy Orton seems to be alinged with Jericho right now but maybe after the Rumble, RAW will get a stable that works.
I don't work on Tuesday but 24 and The Shield are on at the same time. There is no VCR hooked to the satelite, so I guess I could watch between commericals of 24 and then miss The Shield and watch the first hour of the special next Monday. The repeat of 24 is on Monday.

Bret just had an interview and he sofar will not be on the 10th Anniversary. He talked to Vince and told him then that he wasn't going to do it... He might change his mind, but it most likely won't happen. The reason why WWE hasn't released any names... its because they didn't contact the people for fear of spoilers leaking.
As for it being shown in Canada:
** Good news for Canadian WWE fans, TNN will be airing the RAW 10th Anniversary show live this Tuesday at 9pm EST and it will not be blocked out. TSN was originally going to air the show the week after on the 20th at 7:30 but since the show was extended from one to two hours the decision was made between all parties to allow the program to air in Canada. Also, I don’t believe TSN will be airing the show at all.**
The Ventura story is fluff by ESPN (you know, they did the Andy Kaufman/Lawler story last week saying that it was pre-determined). Ventura during his run as governer didn't work out... now that he is out of office he is getting a trainer... and people just speculated...
"I caught the end of SmackDown, and was hoping that Al was dead so the storyline with Al&Dawn would be too!"
ha ha ha... out of the 2 points you made... one I heard is TRUE!

Well you can download 24 and the Sheild..umm I don't know. You need a TV with the audio, visual output... to connect with a VCR.
# It's common knowledge now that Jim Ross ended his weekly Ross Report due to some of his "cryptic" comments and backstage type gossip. WWE, who likes to filter the content they let the public know about on their website, felt the Ross Report was too "insider" for the website. In addition to Vince McMahon laying down the final axe, Triple H was said to be a big part of the reason the column ended. HHH, who has been complaining about shows such as Tough Enough and Confidential for overexposing the business, had much of the same thoughts on JR's Friday column. Chris Jericho attended the Super Skate charity hockey event put on annually in MSG by the Rangers. Jericho went over the p.a. before the game and said he was king of the world. He picked fights with Dennis Leary, David Boreanaz and Chad Smith. When his team lost, he went over the p.a. and said the refs were biased and demanded they settle the game with a shootout. His team lost that as well.
Around 40,000 tickets have been sold for WWE WrestleMania at Safeco Field, which were all the tickets that were originally put on sale. They have held back roughly 10,000 tickets that will be released in the near future.
Eddy Guerrero's SI joint went out on him during his match last night. A stretcher came out but he was able to walk to the back after spending about two minutes on the floor after his match. He will still be able to wrestle on Sunday. # Goldberg and WWE negotiations continue to move forward as the days pass. However that situation unfolds could have an impact on the length of Rock's return to WWE from Hollywood. Apparently, Rock isn't too interested in coming back for a short run and facing off against guys he's worked several times in the past, and has expressed great interest in working with someone new such as Goldberg. As we've reported a thousand times since Rock let the word out on a radio show, Goldberg vs. Rock at WrestleMania, and possibly a rematch at Backlash, is the planned sequence for their respective WWE appearances.
# For those unaware, Undertaker will not be returning to WWE as his old "Dead Man" or "Phenom" gimmick. Apparently, those misleading commercials were done just to put over the progression in Undertaker's characters from his early days in WWE to the modern day "American Bad Ass" which he will be returning as.

Jericho you fool! He better not get eliminated first. But apparently its every minute a new star will enter. He'll probably be eliminated by HBK but they'll have a match at No Way Out (in Montreal) where Y2J would win.

Well WWE is already WCW... Cruiserweights are consistant werestlers... those who should be leading the company are battling over titles that should be the only big title (TheUndisputed) where as the old and lame wrestlers battle over one belt (HHH and Steiner). A ton of good talent is stuck in the midcard and the tag team card... and rather then push talent they have, they higher cripples and put them over (HBK and Steiner...)
This is Vince Russo.... stay tuned for Nitro!!!
The WCW plan was happening since the beginning of the Invasion storyline... but because of the not so strong reaction (because Vince had WCW look like a bunch of jobbers) it was squashed.

Very disapointed. I've been waiting for this since September when it was going to be a 500th episode deal. It was alright but it was mostly stuff from the last four years. I've only watched RAW for the past 3.5 years. To not have Austin wasn't a smart move. I liked what Vince did though. Some stuff was alright, but no it was a waste. Could've been so much better.
Heenan and Foley turned down invites. It was basically another show to plug the Royal Rumble.
Pros
Rock getting booed
Jericho's Outfit
Nostalgia from the Austin era especially the Brian Pillman one.
Cons
All wrestlers were in character
Diva winner
Jericho losing "Best on Mic" award
Triple HHH exposing his ass..
And everything else.

1) Lita cannot do Mic work... she's garbage
2) Lita is Jeff Hardy with breasts... rather than Matt.
What does 2 mean? that means she does spots and can only do well in a spot fest... she was ahead of Trish a year ago... but Trish took the time to develop her skills and now she is near (not on par with) the top wrestlers in the WWE (Ivory, Jaquie, Molly). Lita is the same (some could even say sloppier) than she was when she first debuted.
EDIT:
STUNTS Don't equal Wrestling... if that was the case then Mick Foley would be the top technical wrestler....

Having problems at work - makes me pine for the days where I could turn on Raw and live out my problems through Austin. If I were Austin I would go to Rhode Island, drive a zamboni into the boardroom, flip off the CEO, give him the Stunner, and douse him with Steveweiser! Ahh, the good old days!
Too bad 'Taker isn't coming back as the Deadman. I'm listening to "Graveyard Symphony" now. That was back when he was THE Phenom!

Lita can flat out wrestle with the best of them. She is lucha style so of course she's going to have more of a spot based style than Molly or Jackie. When they let her wrestle she was outstanding. It's not that she can't wrestle, it's that she isn't booked to anymore. Same goes with Christian, Shane Helms, Molly, and others

It's not that she can't wrestle, it's that she isn't booked to anymore. Same goes with Christian, Shane Helms, Molly, and others
Lucha style? Well I can see it... its just a very poor lucha attempt though... but she still needs to learn how to work with the other women wrestlers, otherwise you will get a crappy spot fest. A good lucha match has some matwrestling in it. Chrisitan needs to be pushed, Shane should be on Smackdown feuding with Matt Hardy and Molly should be put in the fued with Victoria and Trish...

But we have been treated to the best women matches in the WWE in decades!

Why HBK... the man has taken too much of the spotlight... what is this 1997? Give it to Jericho, Booker, Edge... those who need it as a platform. RVD, he doesn't need it, he just needs a mouthpiece. HBK, needs to job to Jericho and leave. Taker... just go away. Hogan should stay in Japan.

I'm not complaining about the women matches. For women matches they have been good. But now its like The Rock, HHH or Stone Cold. Gets boring after awhile. Hopefully Jazz will return soon but then there would be three women heels on RAW and Stacey isn't a wrestler.
I just mentioned HBK since he's a big star which would help PPV buy rates. It would be great if Jericho or Edge won. Lesner, Big Show and Jericho, HBK have really been the only Royal Rumble potential winners storyline.

You are forgetting this is WWE 2003.... that means that if Vince gets the feeling that Edge should get a push... he'll let him win and then change his mind the next night... there is no long term planning (outside of Lasnar/Angle and the burring of RVD (HHH is always on top of that!))

Lesner is a monster and Vince likes the big guys. Long term planning is good, but this plan is too predictable. Angle wins, Lesner wins twice on Sunday and they meet up at WM. Maybe they can have Lesner lose to Angle at WM with some sort of rematch the next night. Otherwise it will be HHH/Y2J all over again. It was all Steph/HHH for buildup, Jericho was casted aside and never came across as a undisputed champ and you knew HHH would win the Rumble, and would win at WM. I thought Angle should've been added to the match. Just carry on their build up from No way out. Stick Kane with someone else.

World Title Match:
Triple H (c) vs. Scott Steiner [Well Steiner hasn't had a match on TV and I've read he wasn't that good in any of his house show matches. HHH got his ass kicked every time he tried something so logic has him winning the belt. If they wanted something undpredictable I would put it on Steiner but he wouldn't keep it very long.]
WWE Title Title Match:
Kurt Angle (c) vs. Chris Benoit [The Crippler finally reaches the main event after his return, and like his previous appearences in Championship matches he won't win. I would like to see him win later this year. But Angle must ride on to WM. Should be a great WWE title match.]
Match For A Spot In Royal Rumble:
Brock Lesnar vs. The Big Show [I can see 'Taker run in and cause Big Show to lose the match. Then they could have a match at No Way Out. I'm not saying I want to happen but that's how I see it.]
Royal Rumble Match:
15 RAW and 15 Smackdown wrestlers: [I don't like the sound of this every minute a new wrestler enters. Lets hope Vince changes his mind or the previous PPV will be longer than the Royal Rumble. It will be interesting to see RAW vs SD! and if RAW guys will team up against SD! guys. Lesner.]
RAW Tag Titles Match:
Lance Storm & William Regal (c) vs. The Dudleys [The Dudleys will win, but they'll continue the feud.]
Stepdaughter vs. Stepmother:
Torrie vs. Dawn Marie [Where do they go from here? Do they have another diva on the horizon since how many times have we seen Torrie vs Dawn? It's not even a gimmick match. Torrie.]

The problem with last year was the build-up, not the predictability.
1) Jericho was positioned as a weak heel, in and out of the ring. When HHH was a heel, he still was a dominating character...
2) The focus was HHH/Steph and Jericho was her lacky
3) It wasn't promoted well, taking a back seat to the Hogan/Rock match. This was a problem because proper booking states that you promote the hell out of younger stars' main event, whereas you don't have to delevop the 'bigger stars' that much... it can sell itself pretty well.
As for how this related to Lesnar/Brock. Brock won't look weak at any point... plus Brock/Angle is going to be an Excellent match that can be strectched out til WM. As for its predictabilty... thats good... because shockTV isn't where its at. Predictability enables WWE to gain their fanbase back by gaining their trust that Wrestling and not stupid crap will be the focus!
WM main events should be gimick free... do the 3 way on lesser PPVs... the only reason HHH/Y2J wasn't that good was:
1) HHH and his glass celing
2) HHH was wrestling teribly....
With Angle/Lesnar on Smackdown and Heyman writing it... it will be handled better.

Well I think the lack of build up and the predictablity was against the match. Then Y2J ends up jobbing to Cena and Ric later in the year.
Yeah that Kim girl should arrive soon. Add something to SD!'s women roster. Anyone see Big Show on Conan this pat Thursday? It was a great show since it was an odd combo of guests.
Tom Selleck, Big Show, Sue Johanson (Sunday Night Sex Show host). Sue brought out a bag full of sex toys and the whole segment was funny since Show and Tom stuck around.

Anyway the Angle/Benoit match and the Rumble made me forget (for awhile) the crap that came before it.
HHH/Steiner I knew wasn't going to be great but it was terrible. The fans told Vince what they thought of this match. After watching the Angle/Benoit match I feel that HHH and Steiner are unworthy of being in a title match. If Eric wants to stir the pot strip HHH of the title and put it up for grabs at No Way Out. :sleepy: Crapmatch.
:applaud: Benoit and Angle gave another great peformance. Well done. Great to see the fans on their feet for Benoit after the match. The road to WM continues. The Show/Lesner match was alright. They did what they had to do. Dawn/Torrie uh. Looks like this isn't over. Tag Title Match was alright.
Then the Rumble was great. It didn't have the big names like last year, but was well done. HBK and Y2J will have a match. At first I thought that the elimination would be HBK's version of jobbing to Y2J. After that and after Jericho was kicking some ass and staying in for so long he would win. Then HBK comes back. The match ended with mostly big guys. I liked the old rivalries that were brought back tonight. And look who won. I don't know if it was every two minutes or 90 seconds but it was a decent PPV.
So who has Austin? Eric or Steph? Or Shane?

Anyways nice to see the planing with Matt Hardy, Christian, Edge, Mysterio, Shannon Moore, Cena, Y2J, HBK was great.... Shannon Moore had me laughing so hard with his attempts to save Matt...
Anyways Steiner should never wrestle again... it was pathetic... looks like Jackie Gayda can out wrestle him... watch the Benoit/Angle and the Rumble match... thats it!

I thought it was a mistake to hire Steiner in the first place. Big Poppa Pump? No, more like Big Steroid Pump! He was terrific back in the day, when he was sticking to winning tag-team titles with his brother. He was strong, but also agile, and had a lot more moves in his repertoire (we haven't seen him do a "frankensteiner" for years, have we?). What a joke!
What I keep wondering is why they won't give Booker T the singles' championship push he so rightly deserves (and has deserved for some time now). No offense to the tag team of Booker/Goldust, but he's so much better than that. He carried the WCW title with class, skill, and style. They need to put him at the top of their list, especially since Steiner probably (God willing) won't be around long. And, oh yeah, they need to bring Benoit to Raw, since he'll get overlooked again on Smackdown.

Either The Rock or Austin. RAW needs heels and The Rock would fit well. But its 50/50.
Yeah the Flair/Y2J match was good, it fit well with the SummerSlam card, but afterwords it was crap. A rematch was thrown in 6 days before and they had no encounters since then. It helped with Flair turning heel, but they did't continue it well.
He could've made Cena look good and still win the match. After that he went nowhere and has comeback now with this new gimmick. And then there was the screwjob of not appearing on the Blacklash card. It was a terrible PPV, but still you go from Champ at WM to doing a run in at Backlash?
When Benoit was walking to the back with the fans on their feet, I thought get this man to RAW and let him win the title. Lesner/Angle is set and it will be awhile for him. Send him where he can win. Angle himself said he's the best wrestler in the WWE. Not Stiener, not HHH. Benoit.

But why have Benoit suffer under HHH's foot, when he is a MAJOR part of the top card on Smackdown's roster... think of the Angle/Benoit/Lesnar storyline that can occur... that can still be made that can last even after WrestleMania.... keep Benoit there! Well it just depends on who in the crowd is there. Those who think he's the greatest ever, those who don't like him for walking out and those who are mildly happy he's back. If The Rock shows up I would see him getting booed, even in Canada where the WWE is doing better than USA.

Justin won't like this, but here's a spoiler from WNW. Smackdown airs tomorrow and well it seems to further the storyline. This is Steph's atomic bomb.
Participants make their way out as we wonder if there is going to be a surprise.
HOGAN IS BACK. And receives an 8 minute standing ovation for all the great 1-800-COLLECT commercials he has been doing. He states that he is back for one last run and will do it right this time, as "by the looks of things in the back, I've got a lot of work to do". We all love shoot comments that etc. etc. Out comes Mr. McMahon who is disgusted that this is the kind of surprise Stephanie had for him, but Hogan has a beatdown for Vince and away he goes, leaving Vince in a pile in the ring.
Great surprise with Hogan returning, crowd was extremely hot from the beginning of the Angle match on. Seems a little long though, some of the more dead stuff may be axed before thursday.

Don't feel too bad about TEIII, I said to myself I should stay away from this topic until Monday but what's done is done. Wasn't like it was a movie spoiler.

Well, it looks like the only way that WWE can seem to pull their butts out of the fire is to bring back the old guys. Almost all of their new storylines tank before they even get started.
So, bring back Austin on Raw? Good idea, they need him. Undertaker and Hogan on Smackdown? Sorry, they both need to retire (and Hogan needs to stay retired). Brock, Angle, and Benoit are the only things that are being pushed right now that are worth watching (well, Rey Mysterio is too).
Oh, and I've said it before and I'll say it again: push Booker T to the title (and stop showing him clowning around so much!)! The guy deserves more respect from the ones running Raw. He needs to haul off, and do some damage to HHH, and get his shot. Backstage politics really sucks!!!
One final thought: when Hogan came out to the ring on Smackdown, all I could think was "Where was ALF? Didn't Hogan invite him there?". ;)

ALF felt that he couldn't handle the new workload... So he didn't want to embarress himself in the ring... Oh, if only Hogan thought the same...
Anyways I tried to get tickets for RAW in Toronto... but I got stuck with Limited view tickets due to some ***** pulling out a Visa card to pay for her tickets... I was friggen 6th in line...

Y2J getting his ass kicked by Steiner? HA! Test will interfer they'll have a match at NWO, where Christian and HBK will interfer but Jericho will lose. That will setup a match at WM19. Don't know what kind of match, but they'll have a match and Jericho will retire the Has Been Kid! Hopefully the Jericho/Steiner match will be much better and shorter (of course it will) than the Royal Rumble blunder.
I'm liking this new faction. Since so many angles have be reused and failed (nWo) they probably won't be called the Four Horsemen. Something new would be much better. Once again Kane finds himself against another faction. nWo, UnAmericans, Trips and Co. Doesn't Kane have a spare mask.
Good to see Jazz return. The women's division has been good and she'll make it better. Just need more faces.

Lita is scheduled no earlier than after WMXiX.... I'm glad Stone Cold is back... He did what he felt was right... and he was. As for Jeff... he should be released... they've invested so much time into him and he's no better than he was 3 years ago.

The WWE themselves had said that they are the ones who have caused Jeff to take the step back that he has. They asked him not to take the break he asked for and he did what they said. That is why they gave him his push, which he did really well with until they dropped the ball. Now he is just running on empty, but he still has mad potential

The King had a great interview on OTR yesterday. Really honest. He said the WWE almost begged Bret Hart to show up at the 10th Anniversary Show. Bret Hart will have a two part interview in Feb. on OTR. Must See TV. Same with HBK's and Eric's interviews later in the month. Lawler also mentioned he was suprised how the fans hate The Rock since he just went with the flow. The fans loved him, Hollywood noticed and offered him to be a movie star. He'll still wrestle and won't forget how he got there (the fans) like Sable did.

JR came flat out a few months ago and said that Jeff was burnt out because of the schedule they were making him keep. He then went to say that he had some injuries that he worked through and asked for a break which they first said he could have, but later asked him to pass on which he did. Hell they even had a long interview with Matt and Lita about it also.
You have to remember that Jeff only does what he is booked to do. The spots are his style, but he can flat out wrestle also. I've been watching him since I went to Wake Forrest when all of Omega were still trying to break in.
I agree about Matt though

They had the perfect chance for The Rock to turn heel and they pretty much wasted it. He insulted Hogan, and Green Bay but not the way a heel like Angle would. (Angle did that later in the night perfectly) He used the same lines and said he was the electricity the WWE was missing. Perhaps one of the worst unfinished storylines was the Hogan's attempt to kill The Rock. Two weeks ago Hogan drives a semi and puts the Rock "out: for two weeks, and then the two were shaking hands at WMx8?!!! Wouldn't The Rock want to destroy Hogan let alone shake his hand? No. Him and Hogan become buddies and then Rock goes Hollywood and thinks Hogan is a piece of crap.
Rock and HHH should've joined the NWO. Sure The Rock left but they could've written something in.

When you think about it, it shouldn't have been there. RAW is OWEN wasn't really a 'tribute' but more or less a way to capitlize on what had happened, just like Smackdown's Sept'11'2002 show. Alot of crockadile tears were shown as some people jockeyed for position to look more heartbroked... that was sick.
And the category was 'Best Raw Moment'... I don't think best and death of a wrestler go hand and hand.
Anyways currently I'm reading 'Broken Hearts' by Martha hart (maybe I'm caught up in the book) but its a great read... not really a wrestling book, but rather a book about a tragic love story.

- A report submitted to us by No Holds Barred wrestling show said that Sting - who was their latest guest - admitted talking to WWE officials including Vince McMahon during the past year. He said that a deal was almost reached for WrestleMania X8 but the two parties couldn't reach an agreement just in time. Sting added that he would love to be on TV and PPVs but can't go on a full time schedule, preferring limited house show dates. Sting said that he would like to come back with a good storyline and give the fans their money's worth, saying a WWE debut would not be impossible. I thought Test would pull and Nash & Hall and return. They gave us a swerve and I would've been happier if Test cost Y2J the match, not jobbing to a wrestler who doesn't deserve to be on RAW let alone a PPV.
Austin to Smackdown, Rock to RAW which will save Eric's job.

Last time I was fooled was when Austin "broke Kurt Angle's neck" on SmackDown. I had just become a regular again and didn't know this happened often. I've smartened up a bit since then...like UT. I knew he was due for medical leave if not retirement, so when Show threw him off the stage, I was like, "later Deadman."

Austin will be @ NWO against Eric! Vince was pretty entertaining tonight. Steiner was kept quiet for the most part. I thought Flair called Vince, bit**.
What happened when RAW went off the air.....Big..big..surprise
When RAW went off the air, Vince wanted Bischoff to kiss his ass again. Bischoff refused and Vince left him in the ring begging to not get his ass kicked. That's when Stone Cold came to the ring and climbed the turnbuckles for the one finger salute. Bischoff threatened Austin with his judo moves, but he got a first class Stone Cold Stunner! After Steve yelled at Bischoff, Chief Morley tried to Jump Austin from behind and got a stunner. Then Chris Jericho came out and said since their were two legends in the ring, that called for some beer. Austin cut a promo for the live audience complete with the crowd yelling WHAT? Back at him. Austin did the beer drinking routine with Chris, which included Jericho trying to catch Steve's beers and Austin telling him only Stone Cold catches the beer. Austin showed him how to drink a beer, they toasted, and before Jericho could swallow, Austin nailed him with a stunner.
Austin celebrated with beer! Then as Morley was coming to, Austin stunned him again and celebrated with more beer. Steve made his way up the ramp and toasted a beer with Jim Ross before running back into the ring to get his cooler full of beer. He celebrated with the ring crew, when he noticed Chief Morley stumbling to his feet. Austin faked helping him up and offered him a beer. Chief accepted, but Austin crashed the beer over his head and stunned him again.

Team Angle is the best thing to happen to SD!, since Benoit and Eddie came over.
Angle was hillarious last night not wanting to be punked out. Then the two did their own 'in your face' that was almost as good as Steiner's and HHH's. Charlie and Shelton may not have Angle's personality but they can wrestle. And that's what makes them great. Plus the track suits. When is Shopzone going to put them up? That should be one hell of a tag match. Could top the Benoit/Angle Royal Rumble match.

Curiosity satisfied...I never really "got" HBK's gear at the Survivor Series...I read today in WWE magazine that the problem was his tights were only halfway finished, so he had to rig up an outfit with what he had! :D
Funnier was Nash's story....he forgot his pants, and had to just wrestle in a singlet one time..."there is a REASON why Kevin Nash keeps his legs covered - it wasn't pretty!"

Well I'm glad they ended the show with Team Angle/Lesner/Benoit/Edge instead of Hogan/Rock. RAW of course didn't end with HHH but with JR, The King, Chief Morley and The New GM of RAW. Angle and the rest kept SD! entertaining and worth watcing while Hogan was gone making his phone commericals and selling his book and The Rock making another movie and getting a tattoo.
Seeing how The Rock would most likely win this Sunday's match with help from Vince doing another Montreal Screwjob the Austin/Eric match will close with JR about to lose his voice with excitment.
Test finally gets a singles PPV match and what does he do? Blows it away. So now Jeff Hardy gets a singles PPV match against Y2J. Looking forward to Angle/Lesner & HBK/Y2J.
----
The second Bret Hart interview was great. I can't wait to hear what HBK has to say about Hart calling HHH a huge ass kiss who's not one of the boys and HBK being a two-face who hasn't changed.
Sucks to be Edge. If he was going to be champ it would probably be this year. Now he's probably lost a year to a year and a half of his carreer or position anyway. Hopefully he can perform this weekend and heal quickly.

I'm just glad that Booker T is finally getting the single's push that he's deserved for some time now. I just hope they don't do a screw job on him, like so many others, who only wrestle HH for the title but aren't allowed to attain it (or not for long). HHH has too much backstage influence! At least with Austin back in the picture, maybe someone besides HHH will have a voice backstage!

No Way Out predictions
World Tag Title - William Regal & Lance Storm vs. Kane & RVD
Regal and Storm win. They'll have some sort of 4team elimination match at WM19 for the titles.
Cruiserweight title - Matt Hardy vs. Billy Kidman
Version 1 will take the title, rematch at WM19? Shannon Moore turns on Matt?
The Undertaker vs. The Big Show
Taker should take this one. Or Heyman will cost Taker the match which would cause a No DQ match at WM19.
Jeff Hardy vs. Chris Jericho
Well if HBK will job to Jericho how is it going to look when Hardy beats Jericho. HBK doesn't need any involvement.
Kurt Angle, Charlie Haas, Shelton Benjamin vs. Brock Lesnar, Chris Benoit, Edge (Rhyno?)
Team Angle. Could be Edge's last match and who knows maybe Rhyno takes Edge's spot. Or atleast gores Angle after the match. Hopefully it doesn't end in a DQ.
World Title match: Triple H vs. Scott Steiner
HHH. Steiner will now drop from world title contention and let Booker T face off against Trips.
Bischoff vs. Austin
Austin via Stunner.
Rock vs. Hogan
Rock via Vince's Montreal Screwjob

Well you ate it tonight.
One of the best PPVs I have ever seen. Each match was better than expected. The HHH/Stiener match was hillarious. Sure the moves were crap and such but the crowd made the match. It was almost like Rock/Hogan in TO. HHH could've shat on Rocket Richard's grave and they would still boo Stiener. Loved every moment fromt he Boring chants to the You Screwed Bret chants. If this had been somewhere in the States, it would've been different. Hebner wouldn't get booed for shoving a heel HHH. And the best part is RAW is in Toronto so expect the same thing. I just sat there thinking why not end the match now, why continue this?! Ric Flair entertained.
Jericho/Hardy was an excellent match that makes you think what the hell has Jeff been doing for the past few months?
Tag match was good, liked the ending. Will RVD unmask Kane? Kane heel turn. Crusierweight was slow at the start and then it picked up and was awesome. The Taker/Show match was watchable too. Good build, good match. Taker used everything, he had that evil look.
Handicap match was another fine effort. Preview of WM19, oh the title match and build up is going to be great. Was not expecting Haas to tap to Benoit.
Just strange seeing Austin on screen. And like The King said about him himself returning it felt like Austin never left. Nice beat down.
Hogan/Rock II lived up to the hype. The Rock is the best as a heel. New music is alright, nice to see they have new music for him atleast. Montreal Screwjob. Last time Vince couldn't stand their and soak the heat. Now he could. Vince's expression were priceless. Who's the ref?! I thought it was Hebner's son but they said the ref was from Montreal. Hebner's son would've made more sense.
Are they grooming The Coach to replace JR? The Coach and The King are a nice duo. RAW and SD! are must see tv now.
What do you think of the seperate PPVs for each brand. Personally I think it's a dumb idea. Vince apparently will bite the low PPV rates since it'll pay off in the end. There isn't enough talent or even decent storylines to have RAW only PPVs or SD! PPVs.

Rock/Hogan 2 was complete and utter garbage. the only redeeming quality was Rock doing an excellent job as a heel... The ref is an OVW wrestler... the screwjob finish is stupid. Aren't they saying that Bret should get over it? Seems they have a problem doing so.

There is enough... its just a matter of writing and booking... Smackdown could handle its own PPV, with the majority of the better wrestling on that show.

The PPV didn't suck ass. The Tag Title match wasn't as good as the Handicap match so maybe you should pick what matches were good. The others just entertained and served their purpose.
HHH/Steiner, terrible match but the crowd made it great.
Austin/Bischoff, Austin returns and gives a few stunners.
Hogan/Rock, cement the Rock as a heel, perform another screwjob, setup Hogan/Vince match
World Wrestling Entertainment. You had your wrestling (Angle, Jericho, Benoit, Lesner) and you had your entertainment (Austin, Vince)

Feb.3 I believe.
Tonight's RAW is expected to be headlined by a battle royal, with the winner getting a shot at HHH's title. Assuming no one else (ie Nash) returns for the battle royal, Booker T is the most likely to win at this point.
My thoughts; If Goldberg and Nash don't show up, Booker's got it in the bag..
It appears plans for Rhyno's return have changed once again. He is now expected to come in as a heel to be Matt Hardy's bodyguard. As with the many other plans for Rhyno, this could change as well, but the certain thing is that Rhyno will be back soon.
Eh..bodyguard? Oh..well..
The Rock is set to appear on RAW tonight and will be present in Toronto. Austin, on the other hand, has not been officially billed for the show, but it wouldn't shock anyone to see him.
I hope so..who the hell wants Rock? IMO, he's just as annoying face or heel
