Has CGI gotten to the point where it is cheaper to produce than standard animation? That is the only rationale I can think of for something like this.

Flash Animation is cheaper, I think, but CGI is the next cheap thing. If you want comparison, their Green Lantern show is also in CGI.

Exactly my sentiments regarding the CGI

it's single handedly the reason I've skipped the new Green Lantern series thus far, just flat out don't care for CGI based sci-fi or superhero shows. Infact, the only CGI project I gave a chance to was TMNT (and I originally skipped that in theaters as well) but after good word of mouth, I checked it out on DVD and it was extremely well done

but it more often than not, tends to bore me to tears

give me good ol' fashioned animation, i.e. (Young Justice, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Hero's & Spectacular Spider-Man)

CGI has the potential to be better, if done right. I just have a feeling this is going to be cheaply made.

Couldn't find out who the voice is - but Kurtwood Smith is in it as the voice of Gordon (Commissioner, not Barbara :funny:)
