No, they are not twins. Balin is to the left, and Dwalin is on the right. They are cousings to Oin and Gloin.

I doubt they will just have him alone. My guess it it will be Thorin and Bilbo next which will match the whole 14 set. Showing 13 dwarfs may be considered bad luck

Yeah I agree. Perhaps Thorin with Gandalf and/or Bilbo. I hope they also release their own version of all 13. I know several people have made their own, but would be good if there was an official one!

I think it will be Thorin alone. They won't put Dain in the group but I wonder if they will reveal any of the peripheral characters in the same way afterwards? That would be pretty cool.

We may get the elves and others. That would be so cool that everyone got a pic profile new or old.

There are additional costume fittings going on recently.
It's not out of the question for this to continue beyond the dwarves.

We will probably get pictures of other characters in the next year or so, but I doubt it will be straight after Thorin, and on such a regular basis. PJ will probably put them on his own blog rather than the news/entertainment media. I have always seen the release of these pictures so far from the films being realesed, so that people have time getting use to them (and learning who is who!) Imagine going to the cinema for the first time not knowing who is who. God even I would be confused at the end of the film! I also think they have done it so no pictures are leaked onto the internet when they start shooting outdoors.

We should get pics of Thranduil and Bard but likely we won't see Luke Evans aka Bard till movie 2.
Smaug will likely get his own poster hopefully and be cool to see Beorn pics and Necromonger

Beorn, Bard and Thranduil will likely be released at some point. But I can't imagine that being any time soon (perhaps later in the year?). I doubt we will get a picture of the Necromancer or Smaug until very close to the release of the films. I doubt they will want to give away what Smaug looks like this early on. It would be great if it were kept secret the whole time, and for it to be a surprise! But unlikely to happen lol :p And we don't know what extent the Necromancer is going to be in the Hobbit. May not see him at all!

Necromancer Probably no more then a cloked being something like the Nazgul on he likely will speak and have a missing ring finger or something.

I am sure Smaug will get a poster but not an early picture. I just hope he looks like a dragon and not a worm as some are saying.

I would quite like it if the Necromancer was like an "invisible" (can't think of the right word at the moment) antagonist. Kind of like, lurking in the shadows, fading in and out, not quite knowing if he is there or not. Now that would make him scary!

As long as the CGI for smaug is good I'm not going to complain. I am a bit bored of the traditional looking dragons though, like in Voyage of the Dawn Treader. I think a worm-like dragon would work well for Smaug. Judging by Alan Lee and John Howe drawings, I reckon Smaug will look something along the lines of this: (but that also depends on what influence GDT had on the design).
