Paramore confirmed for Twilight soundtrack:

Paramore's Hayley Williams has made no secret about her love for all things "Twilight,"posting photos of herself clutching the book and showing off fan-made T-shirts on the band's official Web site. And "Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Cam Gigandet and Taylor Lautner got to introduce the band (sort of) at this year's VMAs.
Now, she's taking that love to the next level.

Last week, Williams mentioned in a blog post that she and her bandmates were in a Nashville studio working on some tunes that had a "possible shot" at ending up on the "Twilight" soundtrack — and now, MTV News can confirm that the possibility has become a reality.

According to a spokesperson for their label, Paramore will have a pair of brand-new songs — "Decode" and a still-untitled second song — on the film's soundtrack, which hits stores on November 4. Back in July, director Catherine Hardwicke revealed that a song from Muse (author Stephenie Meyer's favorite band) will also be included.

" 'Twilight' is the first series of books I've ever read. I didn't get into the 'Harry Potter' series, even though I love the movies," Williams said in a statement. " 'Twilight' really caught my attention and held it. I'm really excited to see the book adapted to film and excited that our band gets to be a part of the phenomenon."

"Decode" is slated to be the first single from the soundtrack — which will be released on "Gossip Girl" music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas' Chop Shop label, in conjunction with Atlantic Records — and the band will shoot a video for it next month. According to Williams, the song details the inner workings of the love affair between the series' protagonists, Bella and Edward.

"I chose the title 'Decode' because the song is about the building tension, awkwardness, anger and confusion between Bella and Edward," she said. "Bella is the only mind Edward can't read, and I feel like that's a big part of the first book and one of the obstacles for them to overcome. It's one added tension that makes the story even better."

The "Decode" video is scheduled to premiere in early November.

I just started to read the First book on somebody's suggestion and I am actually loving it. Its a good read I'm halfway through the book so Hopefully I will be finished with it before the movie comes out. I wonder if this Movie does well in theaters if they will make the other books into movies.

It will be debuting in theatres on Friday, October 10th in front of certain movies (it is at the discretion of the individual theatres). There will also be a sneak peak of the new trailer on Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, October 9th. Immediately following the sneak peak, Summit is letting the fans be the first to see the trailer online in its entirety and share it.

What you need to know:

You can see the trailer first online before it's officially released, via the Twilight widget. If you don't have the widget, you can grab it from the official film site at TwilightTheMovie.com.

The trailer will be available exclusively via the widget starting at 8:00 PM PST on October 9th for one hour, before launching in HD on MySpace at 9:00 PM PST.

Yeah a lot of people bash the series. To be honest I think people take things too seriously. Is it the best story ever? No. Is it written that well? No. But it's entertaining. To me that's what a book should be.

my entire theatre went nuts and every girl (and a surprising amount of guys....seriously even i was a little surprised by how many) immediately sat up in their seats.
this movie is gonna be nuts.

Well, that was part of it, and I agree with that in a way. Disregarding the 'laws of the vampire' is not nearly as original as the people creating those stories think it is. But actually the article was really going off on the horrible message it sends to teenage girls through the main character.

BTW, here's a description:

The scenes may be out of order since I'm grabbing them from both reports.

-We see Bella saved by Edward from the van and the imprint he leaves on it. We then see Edward leaving the scene of the accident and leaving her there.

-An amazing kiss between Edward and Bella that doesn't seem to have an ending.

-The "you really shouldn't have said that" clip

-Edward, Spider-Man style, climbing up the trees with Bella on his back. He rips a branch from it and shows it to Bella.

-Bella telling Edward that she knows he's a vampire -- they focus on her lips as she says "vampire" (thanks to [info]dianapassy for the correction) Edward asks if she's afraid, and she says no. We also see them lying in the meadow (I'm a bit confused about this part, sorry).

-Some of the ballet scene and the fight. A scene of James without a shirt (lol).

- Also some parts of the cullens protecting bella after the 'you brought a snack' part.

- Scene of All the cullens in the cars with james after them

-Finally, we see Edward and Bella at the top of a tree and you can see the sun and the sky. You can't really see the effect of Edward sparkling.

My spidey senses tell me as much as I would love to look forward to this (yes...I buckled down and read the first book and one week later I'm already on the third) I'm not sure if I should put much faith in this film, seems like it could go either way (be great or horrible) at this point. I guess that's because for the most part (to me) the actress who plays Bella doesn't seem to fit the overall persona of her in the books and James in the teaser trailers spits out his more intimidating lines so badly to me it makes me want to laugh.

Sorry, just my two cents...though I really do like the casting choice for Edward (yay diggory!)

I think the movie will be at a midpoint. It won't be by any means a cinematic amazement and it won't be utter crap, it'll just be. Which is fine by me, I don't expect an overly wonderful thing either.

So, I'm picking up the first book tomorrow, and yes, I liked the trailer. I'm gonna have to give my friend Becky a really hard time about it though. I know its stupid, but I haven't read them mostly outta spite because she despises Harry Potter, without having read them, and her reasons are hypocritcal because she reads and watches many things with magical elements and supernatural but for some reason its wrong with HP. So I'm gonna have to flog her about how I shouldn't read them because she won't read the ones I've been trying to get her to read.

I really liked the new trailer, especially the part with Edward catching the apple. I don't think this movie will disappoint. I'm sure they understand what kind of rabbid fanbase the books have... surely they would know better than to disappoint us. :P I do have a few reservations about the movie though. The actress playing Victoria? I dunno.. I never pictured Victoria that perky. She just looks too damn bubbly for the part. I'm also still very curious how they're going to make them sparkle in the sun? I really hope it doesn't look cheesy.

Oh, and I liked the video, Sparkle.


As a sidenote, I'm not a Paramore fan.. at all. I do like that song though. Great lyrics, very catchy chorus.

I went back and checked, its the little bit of dialogue she has with the first kid to show her to her classes, about how her mother is half albino and he just kind alooked at her and she thought to herself that she might lose her ability to use sarcasm. Which is why Summit Entertainment's CEO Rob Friedman is already readying a Twilight sequel even though the vampire tween/tween movie isn't set for release until November 21st which is the date vacated by Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince. Oh, and did I mention that Twilight has the fastest selling licensed merchandise since -- you guessed it -- Harry Potter?

But the comparison with Harry Potter ends at cost: Twilight came in at only a $37 million negative cost. This notion of a low-cost blockbuster for a start-up studio just doesn't happen often in the film biz. So if the movie lives up to the advance hype, Summit will be sitting on a big new franchise. Like Potter, Twilight has a built-in audience of book fans with, a total 7.5 million domestic sales for all four Stephanie Meyer novels in the series which was a New York Times #1 bestseller for 59 weeks. Not to mention big sales overseas like Italy, Germany and the UK. That's one reason Twilight is opening day and date in 10 territories, including the U.S.

Summit may spend in the high $30sM for P&A. That's a bargain consider skyrocketing marketing costs in the movie biz. That's because indies these days must spend more efficiently than studios by not just attracting long lines at Comic-Con but almost solely relying on My Space and other social networks instead of costly TV ads. Look, for example, at how Summit rolled out the new trailer. First, Nancy Kirkpatrick (one of the best in the biz) heightened fan anticipation by creating a countdown clock to the widget. Then came the trailer's free debut on Entertainment Tonight. That night, Summit gave fans a special opportunity to see it online first as a way of thanking them for their support. The trailer was streamed through Twilight's widget from 8 PM to 9 PM for fans, then debuted for the general audience in HD on MySpace Trailer Park at 9 PM. The result: 2 million views in the first 24 hours on MySpace alone and 3.5 million views in cyberspace within the first 48 hours.

So what I did wich I probably should of not is watched the trailer for this can't say I am very excited about reading this now. The movie does not look appealing to me. lol, Like I said, my own fault. We talk so openly about Harry Potter spoilers, most of the time I forget to use spoiler tags in those threads, and we know not everyone has read the books, so I should've expected it here. And look, I'm still back in the thread because I'm too obsessive compulsive to leave it alone. I just finished the part in the first book where Bella meets the rest of the Cullen's, except Rosalie and Emmett. What an odd thing to say, and I really want to know why you would think that but I assume it would be massive spoilers.
Well, a lot of people didn't like the events that happened in BD. I don't really have a problem with them except for the ending, you'll see why. But I'm kind of neutral on BD, it's not my fave but not my least fave either. New Moon, well, it's just really hard to get through, again, you'll see why.

about 120 pages into New Moon. **** Edward! My god, if I were Bella, the next time I saw him I would break my foot off in his ass! **** her too! She didn't react strongly enough when he was trying to leave! I would been flipping the **** out! Don't take this the wrong way, the book has me wanting to surge thru it to find out what the **** happens but my sweet god it was sad and pissed me off at the same time! Just stopped when she heard his voice telling her to stay away from those guys.

Yeah, I haven't really gotten depressed over it, but I know what she's going thru. I've had a very similar situation, it was a mutual seperation even though neither of us wanted too. I think I've talked about him, Jeff, both too young, parents moving across country. I still talk to him and we'd prolly be together if not for that move, but we've settled our lives were we are. So its just amazing to read how Bella is feeling and know how the author has nailed those feelings dead on.

I'm at the part where Jacob is bringing Bella to meet the rest of his pack, to talk about Victoria.

And I have to be a little resentful towards these books. I'm gay, everyone knows it, my friends, my family, my co workers, but I've always been told its not obvious. I don't seem like I am, people are usually shocked when I tell them. But to hear me discuss these books and gush over them. I had a friend just look at me and go "Dude, when did you get so gay!"

I have plans to see this movie with a group from work on the day it comes out....all chicks...

Anyway, I love the fact that Bella was such a klutz as a human, felt that she never was special and then, bam, she's such a damn good vampire. She was a natural, that was awesome. Yeah, but don't expect non-stop action. This is essentially a love story with a twist.

There isn't one clear bad guy. Some vampires are good, some are evil. All the werewolves are good, although they hate even the good vamps. It is kinda like Underworld. There is that love story between vampire and human. There isn't quite as much action, although they might be putting more in the movie version, but there is still a good deal of fight scenes and stuff.

Well Harry Potter has 2 more stories too tell and we need a new franchise to love. I mean Pirates is done, and No more Star Wars. HP was a great family franchise. Twilight might be that movie series Teens want. But i am just waiting for The Hobbit movies fantasy wise and i would love someone too redo and take a chance on either Eragon series or Golden Compass for i think if done better a franchise is born.

Well, I wasn't into this movie or book series at all. That was until Whoopie Godlberg stated that she was afan of the series. So I bought the series. & being that I was on Vactaion last week well. I am a fan I must say. I am now almost through Eclipse. I am at the part where they were

Spoiler:Where the Vampires are showing the Werewolves how to bring down the Newborns. & where Jacob just got finished licking her face. He's ballzy, I must say. I like him alot. I had Stated in the Potter thread that I had no interest in seeing this movie. I figuered that was another teenie girly movie/book. Well, I must say that books are more mature than the potter books & Just hope that the movies follow suit. I know that it follows harry from a young age to late teens. I just see these characters being written not only older but much better. I love the fact that they also live in the regular world & are focused on keeping their secret from the rest of the world. & the same goes for the werewolves. Keepping their secret & protecting their city at the same time. But, I will be seeing this movie & hopefuly the others to follow. I do think that it will be a hit Movie.

But, Like someone stated here( Sorry, I forget who said it) I am really waiting on The Hobbit movies PERIOD:applaud:. I really want to see it. I am only sorry that PJ is not Directing it. But, He is producing & WETA is doing the effects. So that is something. I really don't understand the PotHead with the so called Movie Boycott. Hell, Warners moved Harry to next year pissing off the fans:angry:. But, anyhooooo I am a fan of this series( RINGS is still the best) But, I am happy that I have this new series to look forward too. I have just 1 Book to read. & Then it is back to my RINGS addtional books to re-read during the winter.

The chapter when Bella tries to seduce Edward, I was like, its about time girl! LOL. I have to say...I woulda tried sooner, and agreed to marry him, sooner. Marriage doesn't scare me like it does Bella. Hey, we have to have SOMETHING different about us lol. Best book so far, series just gets better and better. I really am looking forward to Breaking Dawn, I've heard loved it, hate it, its ok, all across the board, but I'm still banking that i'll love it.

Also, I got my mother to start reading the first one lol, she already wants me to take her to see the movie. Also, the song Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon seems to fit this series rather well, at least imho. Listening to it while I read right now LOL. I seriously take back all my doubts and snide remarks about this series. Its heading to my top three. Harry Potter still being at number one followed by LOTR. Its gonna be a competition between His Dark Materials and this by the end, i can tell.

Yeah, I am almost finished with Eclipse now.:cry: & On to BD. & then that's it. I hate it now when a Series ends. That I think is also another reason why I am so Hooked on the Addtional stories( or actually, the original back stories of the Rings Trilog. There are about 6 books:clap:)

I think that is another reason why I also like Potter so much. The writing is great( still on the Tweenie Very young adult side. Regardless of other trying to paint it as being more dark & adult:) Its good though)

But, I too am a fan of this series. Very well written( though, I just hate it when bella insits on being on everyting regardless of her being the problem in the 1st. place & her utter disregard of her putting others in danger with her being on the front lines. What the hell does she think she can do vs the super natural when, she can't even get out of the way of her own feet.:lol:


Can't wait for the movie. I won't be going that 1st weekend. I could wait a week or two.

I was giving some serious thought to Breaking Dawn the other day and while it is a love/hate feeling most of us get, I think she did a good job summing things up. I would have liked to have had a little more detail on what happened to the Cullens after that final event but I was glad to know that Bella and Edward ended up together and happy. And that he was finally able to see into her mind and see how much she truly loved him. For someone that can hear thoughts, the boy is incredibly dense sometimes. I know, I know, he couldn't hear hers but still! :P

And I'm seriously loving Jackson Rathbone. He's such a doll. DIMPLES!! :D

Stuff about Eclipse

Mainly something really weird I found myself feeling. Pity for Victoria. While she deserved what she got, for just being to friggin evil in Seattle and of course for wanting to kill Bella and anyone who got in the way, no doubt. But I actually felt BAD for HER during that confrontation. She didn't stand a chance against Edward. There was like never any real threat. And then the way he distracted her by revealing how James had never actually loved her, which brings up her motivation. She was trying to avenge, in her own way, the one she loved. As I'm sure Edward would have done. She basically entered her own deathtrap by trying to attack Bella with Edward around, and I was suprised that I wasn't more thrilled when he finished her. Also, Jacob pissed me off with his suicide threat, that was horrible imho. ****ing amazing book.

I like Jacob. I actually feel sorry for him. He is in love with her & she also loves him ( Just not in the same way). But remember, he is a wolf. & he isn't just going to say ok I give up:nono:)

Both guys are monsters but neither are evil.

I do love the idea of both groups having no love for each other but, getting together for a common cause.
