A lot of memorable performances by villains. I really liked Bill Nighy as Davy Jones. Denzel Washington as Alonzo Harris, some others. But fav of all time has to be Gary Oldman as Norman Stansfield in Leon. So awesomely over the top, I absolutely love it

I have a couple of favorites such as Darth Vader in Star Wars, Clarence Boddicker in Robocop, and Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. However, my fav by far is Jack Nicholson as the Joker. Just love how he pulled that role off. Charismatic yet psychotic. Great performance.

From the first Terminator, I'd agree that he's up there. After T2 and T3, I think of him as more of a hero, though.

^^^Its actually the Episode III Vader with Hayden Christensen under the mask. Its why he looks a little skinnier then the previous version. I kinda like it, makes him look more battle worthy then the portly aged version did.

Chigurh was the first thing to spring to mind. It might have something to do with how recent the movie is and how fresh it is, but I think that's one of those that's gonna stand the test of time and still be mentioned in discussions like this ten years from now.

Agent Smith was a great villain embodied by a great actor in a great performance, especially in the last two, but was hindered by the crappy movies surrounding him. By himself, though, he was awesome and is definitely at least top five, for me at least.

One person who gets overlooked as a great villain is Elijah from Unbreakable. Part of what made it so great was that you didn't even know he was a villain through 99% of the movie, but then realize it had been staring you in the face the whole time. Awesome.

Sure he didnt say much but when he did it was bad ass and he is the coolest looking villain EVER not to mention when those doors slide open and the " Duel of the Fates" song started and Obi -Wan and Qui Gon said " we will handle this" and they walked up to Darth Maul and he unrobed and pulled out his double sided light saber.... to this day imo that is the coolest scene in movies ever
