Well its better then calling you Dan, because I know you are not Dan, but apparently a girl named Nikki, so I figured I would shorten it (hope you did not mind), and most of the time people shorten mine and just call me Rob, even though my name is not really Rob, but instead refers to Jason Statham's character in Gone In 60 seconds. A few times I have been referred to as HR, which is cool too I guess.

The article says that 9 minutes were wasted when the masseuse called Mary Kate Olsen instead of 911. A friend of my moms had an ex husband who suffered a heart attack, the girlfriend found him, and ran across the street to see if a neighbor could help. Between the time she finally called 911 about 15 minutes later and the ambulance arriving, he died.

Are people THIS RETARDED? Don't people know by the year 2007 Anno Domini that if you suspect something may be wrong with someone YOU CALL 911 FIRST! NOT SECOND, NOT LATER, FIRST! THAT IS WHY 911 EXISTS, TO HELP PEOPLE! Are people scared to call 911? Did she have an outstanding warrant? I have a feeling that this masseuse was a mutual acquaintance between Ledger and Olsen and upon finding a dead naked celebrity in his bedroom she panicked and called Olsen to find out if there was something different she needed to do. The coroner already reported that Heath was dead when they entered the room and had been for over an hour, so I don't believe there was anything either her or the housekeeper could have done, especially seeing it was a lethal drug interaction that was involved.

Sadly all media here in the US has become tabloid. The legal notice that those ****s at the Insider and ET sent to perezhilton is just another example of how these scum bags exploit and live off the tragedies and screw ups of celebrities. Sometimes its harmless, but in a case like this it's just disgusting and shameless.
The comment in that article from the ass from USAToday is a perfect example of some jackass pontificating and trying to make him self sound like an expert when really all he did was write a book about a guy who died young 52 years ago... heres his comment...
"Heath Ledger is one of the first (James) Dean-esqe people to die in the Internet age, so his death will be the testing ground to see how long the Net will fan the flame," Chris Epting, author of James Dean Died Here, told usatoday.com.
"It will be interesting to see: Will he be immortalised or will the next big thing totally supplant him in a couple of weeks?"
It's like the guy is cheerleading for another star to die in a couple of weeks, what does he have Britney in the office Death Pool or something? Scum bags and leeches all of them
Dan's_Gurl

i googled it and it led me to PerezHilton.com (i think that guy is a douche, but decided to click anyway), and I found this:
The Hollywood community is still very upset at Entertainment Tonight and The Insider.
A behind-the-scenes campaign happened aggressively on Wednesday to pressure the shows not to broadcast that Heath Ledger video everyone was talking about.
Several top publicity companies threatened to never give the shows access to their star clients again. They caved.
However, we're told that many are still upset because ET and The Insider made it seem like Heath was doing drugs in the video.
He was not, a person who has seen the full clip tells us.
Additionally, when the shows aired a preview of the video, they showed a clip of Ledger saying, "I used to smoke five joints a day for 20 years."
However, what they didn't show you was that afterwards, he said , "and that's why I got this tattoo [an M, for daughter Matilda] to remind me never to smoke weed again."

**** journalism. If they are going to tailor stories to boost ratings or sell papers **** them all.
what "next big will surplant him"?????
And where is this comparing him to James Dean coming from? That's not an insult, but Dean was deeply troubled and that fact was very public. Ledger was always reserved. He was never tabloid fodder and now they want to take the moment when we should be honoring his life and reflecting on his work to rip into every detail of his personal life just to see what skeletons he might have been hiding.

Well they say that they are not showing the clips now out of respect for him. But they spent $2 mil on obtaining this video. IMO, they know there was nothing there and that they would have to tailor it to appear that he was in the midst of it, but for fear of legal implications from his family, they decided it was not worth it.

The Dark Knight star Heath Ledger died of an accidental overdose of painkillers, sleeping pills, anti-anxiety medication and other prescription drugs, the New York City medical examiner said Wednesday.
The cause of death was "acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine," spokeswoman Ellen Borakove said in a statement.
The drugs are the generic names for the painkiller OxyContin, the anti-anxiety drugs Valium and Xanax, and the sleep aids Restoril and Unisom. Hydrocodone is a widely used prescription painkiller.
Borakove wouldn't say what concentrations of each drug were found in Ledger's blood, or whether one drug played a greater part than another in causing his death.
"What you're looking at here is the cumulative effects of these medications together," she said.
The ruling comes two weeks after the 28-year-old Australian-born actor was found dead in the bed of his rented SoHo apartment. Police found bottles of six types of prescription drugs, including sleeping pills and anti-anxiety medication, in his bedroom and bathroom.
Ledger was discovered by his masseuse on Jan. 22 after she arrived for an appointment that afternoon. She entered his bedroom to set up for the massage and found him unresponsive, and proceeded to call Mary-Kate Olsen three times over the next 9 minutes before dialing 911. Ledger had been dead for some time, and police say no foul play occurred.
In a statement released through Ledger's publicist, Ledger's father, Kim, said Wednesday: "While no medications were taken in excess, we learned today the combination of doctor-prescribed drugs proved lethal for our boy. Heath's accidental death serves as a caution to the hidden dangers of combining prescription medication, even at low dosage."

he probably took them in a relatively short succession for an interaction to have occured - not necessarily in too large amounts for any one of them - but certainly too many types at once.
He definitly visited too many doctors and got too many prescriptions without checks as to what else he was taking
I believe an inquiry is appropriate to see if all the doctors I's and T's were dotted and crossed or if he had done it to himself entirely.

The late Heath Ledger's daughter Matilda was spotted skipping along the streets of NYC yesterday with her mom Michelle Williams in the cutest pink sundress. Every time I see a photo of the 2-year-old I can't believe how much she looks like her dad. He definitely lives on through her.
As most of you probably know, Heath was filming Terry Gilliam's "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus" at the time of his death. Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell stepped in to complete Heath's role, playing different versions of his character "Tim."
When the three actors learned that Ledger's will had not been updated to include his daughter, the generous trio decided to donate all the money they earned from the film to little Matilda!
It's good to know that there are a few nice guys in Hollywood.

apparently he'd made his will around 2002 and hadn't updated it. i think it all went to family members. i don't think it really matters, seeing as Michelle Williams isn't out of work or anything (if it did i think she'd take legal action to get Matilda a cut of his money). i don't think she'll have a problem providing for her daughter.

He made a will, because he was just being smart. It's good to make/update a will every now and again - not because you "know your death is coming." Anyway, what's being discussed is that he hadn't updated his will in over 5 years, so his daughter wasn't included in it. That's why Depp/Law/Farrell are donating their pay to her.
