Maybe this is just me, but ive noticed a tread of DVDs no longer coming with booklets in the sleeve. either theres nothing there, or its just a cheeap chapter guide, or its advertisements. I dont really like this. when i buy a DVD i kind of want the whole package, you know? ive noticed this when i bought children of men and pans labrynth. oh and little miss sunshine was the same.
maybe the companies are just giving up on dvd now that the new formats are out.

What booklets? You mean a guide to the film? I think I found those on special editions like my Fight Club 2-disc set with the cardboard case. Who remembers when dvds first came out they had those lame clip cases?

I haven't seen a booklet or insert since LOTR: EE.... It's been a while. They figure if you want a chapter list, then pop the DVD in and go to scene selection...
Yeah I've noticed that too. It can be disappointing at times. Not even one sheet for crying out loud. Doesn't seem very professional really.

used to be worse for customers in UK, whereas in America they had picure discs and here they mostly dont. I know it doesnt really matter but it shows how UK gets the crap. Not sure about now. And also we always get the cut and censored version too.

I've noticed this as well. For instance, the Scrubs sets have always had booklets, but in the Season 5 set there is just episode names printed on the side and an ad for "Kyle XY" or whatever in the spot there should be a booklet. I didn't even know which episodes had commentary on them without checking each disc.

The booklets can be pretty cool sometimes. One of the many Evil Dead DVDs has a booklet with interviews of the actresses.

yeah, tis too bad. DVDs used to be a whole package that you were excited for everything, the movie, the features, the packaging with booklet, the menus. those days are gone already
