Jack and Chloe were the best part of the ep. Nina and Sherry were right behind. Everyone else was good at they are doing normally.

If you blink, you missed Michelle. Gael is MIA.

It is this live web cast. It is like a talk show that talk about 24 after the ep have been broadcasted. You can go to official website, the info is there.

Sky One is the one who is showing series 3 in UK and I think they might sell it to terestrial when the series 3 is done.

Oh man! That was great! I loved that episode! The end....wow. I loved the look in Jack's eye. There wasn't precisely hate, just revenging Justice. Awesome...just awesome.

02-17-2004, 10:10 PM
Awesome ending! I only saw the last 30, (watch the show later tonight) but that ending was awesome. Best ever. I was so marking out when Jack fist shot Nina. And then more when the deed was done. I had visions of Kim killing Nina which would be okay since Nina wouldn't see it coming. Kim could say "I've killed before." But the shot of Jack shooting Nina was a great angle. Sad to see Nina go but Terri was finally avenged. Next week it looks like Jack is back and going to stop the virus, after he gets off the hook for killing Nina. She still managed to kill some people. Would've been cool to see how she did it.

Best lines-
Jack: You don't have any more information do you Nina?
Nina: Ye- yes I do.
Jack: No you don't! (followed by 3 shots)

Sweet Justice

totally sweet justice...awesome. I'm kind of in awe. It sort of reminded me of the part in braveheart when mel gibson comes in to kill those people for killing his love. Same sort of look. Wow! I'm so excited and simply can't wait until next week!

She's finally dead. After over 48 hours of watching her be nice, then mean, then get arrested then escape then get pardoned then escape and so on, she is DEAD! And it went so perfectly, Jack standing over her and popping her....oh, so good. I am not normally as violent or bloodthorsty, but i just hate her soooooooo much, and now she is GONE! yay!

02-18-2004, 09:04 AM
konman72 I totally agree with you.. I so hated her ... and know she is dead.. One thing that I thought was kinda wacked was Chappelle last night acctully became nice for once and told jack that they would make it seem like he started heroin later than he acctully did... and of course jack was like "no this is my story and im going with it"

But overall the show was awsome last night...

slinger
02-18-2004, 12:44 PM
Yeah Chappelle is like Mason-Lite this year. He doesn't have any real storyline but he's not been a jerk like in the previous seasons. He could be up to something....

KayTang999
02-18-2004, 02:12 PM
Major credit to Chloe, "Oh gosh Chase, I think she kinda pissed!"

I think the baby plot is resolve now. Nina is gone now we need Mandy to come back. Sheery is just cold cold cold woman. Jack rocks! Did Ryan being nice? HIV/AIDS scare? Tony and Michelle on the cold feet? Palmer is screw again by Sherry? Kim...no comment.

You know in season two, when Jack can't kill Nina (this is just after their plane crashed and after they've taken out the coral snake guys and jack had nina on gun point) he gives her up reluctantly, then whispers in her ear. Does anyone have any idea what's being said? Now that she's dead, I can't imagine that I'll ever learn.

24 Forum posters deduced that he was telling her she was being taken back to LA and would be released if the bomb doesn't go off. So that's why she had that look, she thought for sure at the very worst she would live but not anymore.

To be honest I never really started watching 24 until last week when Series 3 started here in the UK but only because I kept missing the first few episodes of Series 1 and 2 so I couldn't really get into it without knowing the whole thing. I guess I'll have to buy the DVDs some time but as for now I'm enjoying what I have seen so far in the first 2 episodes but I don't expect to be reading much in this thread due to the many possible spoilers

Whoa ... I had to take a bit of a rest there. I was so blown away by the ending of this episode, I couldn't formulate a coherent thought for a couple of days. Now that I'm all up and running again, here's my take on the darn thing:

What's with the crazy insane grandiose orchestral piece at the beginning of the episode? You'd think Jack already saved the world or something.

Again, we find another reason to compare the seasons. This time, it's interrogation styles: Jack's Psycho Shooter vs. Tony's Cold Shoulder. Tony was obviously not as effective, as he had to bring in the needle assist (and even that didn't end up well). Just goes to show, if you want to get the job done, get Jack.

I don't know about you, but did Amador snooping around (China?) town remind anyone of that James Bond-like secret agent from the beginning of the movie, xXx (Triple X)? I'm surprised he didn't get capped before coming within 100 metres of his next meeting place!

Apparently, Ryan Chappelle has a heart. He was willing to let Jack off the hook this time, and tried to explain himself by saying, "Just trying to save us all some paperwork." Aww Ryan, we know you just love the man. :p

And now the reason why I was so kept from my update: Two guards. Tony left two guards in the emergency room with Nina. They were huge guys even. Now, either they are really new at this "security thing", or Nina is just really friggin' GRAY FOX in disguise! Less than 35 seconds flat--count 'em--was all it took for her to pull a stinkin' CYBORG NINJA on an entire room of suspecting and unsuspecting CTU employees. How and why the frig ... ?

Wow, when Kim managed to sneak up on Nina, Nina shoulda just pulled another fast one with her pop-up KATANA, and put us all out of Kim's misery. Fortunately for Kim (unfortunately for Nina), Jack came back with a bullet with Nina's name on it (and a few more to boot!). What Kim soon said was kinda cool: "Dad, listen to me. We need--" to which Jack quickly replied, "Kim, go now!" What. Kim knew. She knew Jack would show no mercy! That must've been intense, knowing that when you came back, you would find only one of them left alive. Well, Nina had it coming, I'll tell you that!

I'm not gonna tell you anything new, but man, Jack dishing out another one of his VICTOR DRAZEN FATALITIES was an event not to be missed. Ah, I think that with the death of Nina Myers, teh writers are basically telling us that this is their last season, which wouldn't be a bad thing either. 24's just one of those shows you can't cancel mid-season. It needs to run the course of the whole season. That said, I think it would be better for the show to end off strong now, than to dwindle weakly in a future season.

Memorable quotes from this hour:

Chloe: "Uhm, gosh Chase, I think she's really pissed."

Jack: [Tony Soprano]"Don't break my daughter's heart. You make this right. I swear, don't make me do something you're gonna regret."[/Tony Soprano] Ah, I loved that mob spiel. Chase is a dead man if he doesn't fix this up in a jiffy.

Jack: "It was necessary to maintain my cover. Are we done now?"

Tony: "What is it you get outta being a mass murderer?"
Cyborg Ninja: "... You're neck is bleeding." What.

Jack: "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO SAY?!! I DID DRUGS TO GET IN WITH THESE PEOPLE, AND I GOT IN WITH THEM!!!"

Chappelle: "All Richards does is inflict pain. There's no way fro her to manipulate him."
Jack: "Right."

Palmer: "I'd be a fool to believe anything [the woman who's "helping" us] says to save herself." Ha, there goes her credibility.

Chappelle: "My God! Tony!" That was such an awesome line. The surprise, the disbelief. It was like he was thinking, "Tony! You got shot in the neck again??!!?!" Best line of the ep.

anaria22
02-21-2004, 12:12 PM
wow....one really gets the impression that you really like this show. But yeah, I was also wondering about how she disabled both those strong guys and the doctors in so short a period, with a major vein bleeding and the stuff Richards injected into her neck. I'm guessing that's why they didn't show it happening.

slinger
02-21-2004, 07:11 PM
We saw how Jack took on all those guards in Posta Mita, the medical staff would be no problem and the guards probably were caught off guard and I think it only takes a few seconds for a sharp object to be thrown into someone's neck. I don't have the tape to look at the bodies but Jack and Nina were probably the only people who could do that.

The thing with Tony's neck is he might've gotten Nina's blood on his wound. which might lead to a AIDS/HIV storyline. Which is scary for Tony. One more episode until the break, 3 months until the season (series?) finale and 10 hours left.

anaria22
02-21-2004, 07:24 PM
Yeah, I was wondering about that aids thing too. But that would be a long and fruitless story line considering that AIDS is often a very slow disease with lots of doctors appointments and no cool effects. Plus, I can't imagine that they would kill off Tony. Unless of course, he knows he's going to die, then sacrificies himself. ;)

slinger
02-22-2004, 07:53 PM
Or if there is a next season it could be brought up. And it could still provide the writers with some tense moments since Tony would get test results. I don't know how long it takes but I would imagine if it was a few hours the writers would use that. Just something to close out the hour. "Tony the test results came back... "Yeah and what?" "They're positive." Stares....

I'm also liking the amount of 24 avatars on CS! 24 also won a Writer Guild award for last years 7-8pm episode.

I was talking to my dad and a couple frineds at work all of us Avid '24' fans and we came to a different conclusion regarding the HIV storyline. We think that they made the HIV statement up just to try and get a rise out of Nina. They were getting nowhere with the interrogation and decided to dig a little deeper, and it worked. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the last we here about HIV and Nina in the same statement.

KayTang999
02-23-2004, 10:32 PM
It is possible and not possible. I would assume that it would be Tony's trick to get Nina to talk to because if he knows that she has HIV, he would be freaked out about it after her blood was splashing everywhere.

slinger
02-23-2004, 10:45 PM
But Nina did mention that his neck was bleeding...

KayTang999
02-23-2004, 11:28 PM
True, but his wound has bandage on it, it is not an open wound. I believe, but I am not sure, that in order for HIV to actually transfer, the blood has to be like excessively pouring on the wound.

Oooo. Amador won't be playing FIFA 2004 for awhile. Another great episode. Sherry is done and she's bringing down Palmer. Everyone wants to help him but it just makes things worse. Gael finally appears back onscreen but he won't be around to hear Chappelle chew him out. Michelle and Co. it doesn't look good. Tempted to read the spoilers since we've got 5 weeks until a new show. I'll bite the bullet. The Shield is starting in two weeks. Just the theme music alone will be great to hear.

Another guy from Jack's past. Every episode we seem to dispose of a villian. Hector. Ramon. Milken. Nina. Amador. Alvers is next.

There is a rumour that Kirsten Dunst will be joining 24...

Ho noes! It's the last epihour for awhile, and they manage to end off with such a "Gagh!!!" cliffhanger! The tension! The suspense! The pwn4g3!

To start things off, it appears that CTU was informed in a veeery small timeframe of the death of the key witness, and already by episode's beginning, they're holding what looks like a funeral mass march for her. The witness died, like, what? 20 seconds ago? Now all those people walking know and have taken it in that quickly? Madness.

Long time ago (and in the Season Two DVD set), people have observed that the good guys use Macs, and that the bad guys use IBMs ... but ... Chloe's using a Dell (!), so what does that make her? Hmm ...

Alright! Everyone talks back to Ryan, so why shouldn't Chase follow suit?
Chappelle: "I didn't ask your opinion."
Chase: "Well, I'm giving it to you anyway."
Chappelle: "Excuse me?!" Haha! I loved this part. Chappelle gets so much flack this season, and I like it!

Tony Todd (aka Kurn, Candyman, and a slew of other scary guys) plays Detective Norris! What. He's totally gonna own Julia and The Woman Who Has the President's Best Interests in Mind (as always!). By the way, the latter woman lies too quickly for her own good. Even I could have seen through the facade. Candyman's gonna start taking names, people. And it's not going to end pretty for these people after he's through with 'em.

Jack and Chase obviously spend downtime watching episodes of THE SHIELD:
Jack: "Take him into one of the other rooms. We've got work to do. I don't want to be bothered by any of the SWAT guys."
And then later on:
Jack: "Chase?!"
Chase: "Where's the virus?" (Although the way Chase was saying this, it sounded more like a coarsely whispered, "Where'd tha viwus?")
Jack: "When he comes to, do it to him again." Sweetness. No mercy at all for the man who always has guards waiting in the bushes to back him up. But do you see any bushes here? No? Thought so. :D

Cool. Michelle helped handle the D.C. Anthrax Outbreak? That's wicked. And she finally got a wardrobe change? Rawr, that's even better! ;) Michelle Dessler pwnz you.

Michelle kept on swinging around corners while pointing her gun at steam. She did it three times in a row. Perfectly. I thought the editors were simply going through the same take three times in a row. Amazing, absolutely amazing. :p But dang, is Michelle AWESOME: Well, it's not really a spoiler, although it does include Marcus Alvers, so I figured I should mark it just in case. I thought Alvers was going to disarm the fair Michelle, but she deftly showed some respectable hand-to-hand. She had Alvers on his knees in less than three seconds. Then she proceeded to reprimand him like the bad dog he is (and managed to sound a lot like Jack in the process):
"PUT YOUR HANDS ON YOUR HEAD! PUT YOUR HANDS ON YOUR HEAD!! Wrap your right arm around the pipe! Now cuff yourself." What. That gave me goosebumps, man. Tony likes 'em rough, no? :D

Gael = pwn3d (sadly. I thought he was cool enough to be kept, but the writers have been having other ideas)

Memorable quotes from this hour:

Kim: "You had to do it, didn't you?"
Jack: "... Yeah. Come here." Strangely enough, that's actually true (sort of).

Michelle: "I just want this day to end." They always write in these kind of lines. BTW, maybe not the best line, but it was my favourite.

No I blieve it was Dunlop Plaza.

Jack's mystery enemy probably has no connection to what we've seen and it will deal with something Jack did before Day 1, or between Day 2 and Day 3.

KayTang999
02-25-2004, 12:52 PM
Apparently he is a British, I don't recalled any British connection to Jack in Day 1 or Day 2. So you might be right, could be before Day 1. I don't think it would be between Day 2 and Day 3 because I am sure Jack was busy trying to master Spanish.

So who thinks that the vile that broke actually contained the virus?????

Personally I dont think it did, because I think Michelle is bad, and can someone call fox and tell them to get Sherri off the show. What a stupid story line. The only reason I can think of that they are keeping her in is because somehow everything is connected. Who knows. I agree with everyone being pissed at Fox though about the 5 week delay. I mean one or two weeks is ok, but 5... Come on!

Question:

Agent Wong, I can only assume, is dead after Amador killed him. But if you looked at his face, he looked like the same CTU agent from the Sayed Ali and Nuke operations in Season 2 and the prison at the beginning of Season 3 (assuming that the shoulder-length hair was a wig or something). Does anyone else think so?

KayTang999

I think the vile contain virus because we have enough red-herring this season, I doubt they will pull it again.

got answer from 24 Forum

. has always been in a powder/crystal form. the green liquid we saw earlier in the vials housed a small amount of the virus as crystals, the liquid was either for preservation or dramatic purposes of the virus. the virus is now in a larger powder form because it has been through its final preparations for its weaponised formand has had other chemicals added to it, never has it been a liquid.

Also remember there are 11 vials of the virus still.

It looks like '24' fans could soon get a chance to play Jack Bauer themselves.

Elisha Cuthbert, who plays Kim Bauer, spoke to us about her new film 'The Girl Next Door' and she let slip about plans for a '24' video game, although though she admits it's still early days:

"I don't know much about it, only that there's a group of people in London that are really cool. They came by the set, they hung out, took a lot of pictures, and talked to me about some things and they're gonna just come up with the story."

"They're very early on in the process with the story, characters, ideas. Very (James) Bond-ish, I think."

I noticed something interesting today. I was watching some of season 1 when senator palmer is trying to talk with Jack (he thinks jack is trying to kill him), chappelle wont let him because of the actions jack has taken in the last hours. Palmer insists and so he calls someone and they talk w/ chappelle and he finally agrees. The person Palmer talked to said that he'll "see what he can do" then palmer said thanks Alan. This must've been alan milikan! I just thought that it was neat that the writers remembered the name that they used ONE TIME 2 seasons ago and incorporated him into this season. (unless it was all a conincidence). Go check it out.

I was listening to that on the radio the other day sounds pretty good

Also what was so important at the end of Episode 3, I was told to look forward to it by 2-3 people in this thread. Some guy getting shot in the neck what was so good about that? The end of Ep. 2 was better

You said you didn't watch seasons 1 and 2 right? Well he was one of the few characters to survive both seasons. A fan favourite and it was just shocking to see him get shot and possiblty die three episodes in. I know everyone is fair game (Jack previously died for a few minutes in season two) but nobody was expecting Tony to get shot until moments before the shot was fired. But there is a big twist coming up in I think episode 8 or something. To me it was their best twist ever, and you don't have to have seen previous seasons to enjoy it.

theres a great cliffhanger at the end of each episode but yeah i think its episode 8 which a great twist in the whole story when tony leaves hospital and comes back to CTU and tells everyone of their pre -planned set up of the day

Well that explains why it didn't mean anything to me but I think it was kinda obvious something was gonna when the other guy wasn't allowed to go along. But now I have to wait 5 weeks to find out what happens at the end of ep.8

My family and I finally saw 24. Well, that's an understatement. This past weekend, we stayed up until 2 or 3 in the morning both on Friday and Saturday to finish the entire first season of 24. It's one awesome thrill-ride! Kim's stupid, though--I can't stand her. About halfway through our marathon, the four of us were yelling for all of them to just be killed off so we could get our sleep. Luckily, we made it to the 24th episode. My mom thinks Teri should've lived. That's all.

The virus was released into the ventillation system of the hotel. Gael inhaled it so expect him to be die soon. The virus takes 24 hours but I think he would want a painless death. Michelle and some CTU members are also inside the hotel. She just captured Micheal Avers. Police know that Sherry was up to something at Milken's estate. Palmer found out and now has to protect her. Jack and Chase are on their way to the hotel. CTU is searching for the one behind the virus, Jack assumes its someone he knows.

KayTang999
03-29-2004, 07:23 PM
Oh, and to add to that, Jack and Chase have Amador with them at this hour. There are 11 viles of virus. You can expect the worst to happen on 24 in the next 9 episodes.

Why? Why must Jack Bauer continue to kick unholy terrorist ass? Yes, ladies and gents, 24 starts in just under 8 hours (Episode 16 begins at 9:00p.m. Eastern Standard Time), commencing the airing of what will be the first of the last 9 epihours of this season. After what would be their longest hiatus ever (5 weeks without 24--it made me weak), I'm sure this news comes as quite a relief to some of you.

The facts: Since this time last season, 24 has lost approximately 12.7% of its viewers. Heck, even my mother realized the show has been a bit dragging this season. A major character dynamic between Jack and a certain former triple agent is now gone, effectively eliminating one of the driving forces in Jack's life (and in the show's, for that matter).

My thoughts: Although deep in my heart of hearts I feel the same way about the current state of the show as my mother, I still have faith in the writers. I still think that they can pull themselves out of the rut they've written themselves into. Just add a sick plot twist or devious character here and there, and they've got it made. Either that, or start casting bigger and better, like they did in Season One (Dennis Hopper [get rid of the cheesy Serbian accent, though], Lou Diamond Phillips, et al.). All in all, my gripe with the show is that I don't know if they really want to consider making a fourth season. The way I see it, if they started airing a fourth, I believe it would gradually die off and possibly suffer cancellation. The thing is, 24 is just one of those shows you can't cancel. Its premise demands it to complete a full seasonal run. This is why I think that instead of doing another season, the producers should end 24's run on their own terms, or wait a certain period of time to get their thoughts and ideas together, and maybe return to 24's roots. I think the break would do them and the show a lot of good. End off strong, you know what I mean?

I'll have to append slinger and Kay's recaps, so here goes:

The countdown: When last we left our heroes, tons of pwn4g3 was going on. Let me count the ways: Stephen Saunders lecture-pwnzd Michael Amador and Marcus Alvers out of a huge portion of their paycheck, and essentially told them not to f**k with Jack Bauer. Jack and Chase double teamed Chappelle and pwnzd him out of pulling an internal investigation on Jack's murderous ways. Julia Milliken got pwnzd like the trophy wife porcelain doll that she is by DETECTIVE CANDYMAN. I still can't believe she cracked that quickly. The Chinese undercover agent, last hour's resident would-be ETHNIC PSYCHO, got introduced to the business-end of Amador's firearm and was, in due course, just plain pwnzd ... ... So Jack and Chase totally knife-pwnzd Amador in righteous vengeance. The guy passed out like like a Zell-brand chicken-wuss. Michelle so stinkin' pwnzd Marcus Alvers in the boiler room of the hotel, displaying her mad skillz in the Gun Katas. Crap, she had him on his knees begging for her to stop, so she had him cuff himself on a pipe to show him some "mercy". What. Our man Gael got virus-pwnzd IN THE FACE. Just look at his expression. Wow ... just dang.Ah, so close now. And I'll probably only end up doing in that time what the characters on 24 do in 3 minutes. How about you?

Well, it was a filler ep, I have to say, but that doesn't mean it didn't have its merits. Nothing of actual note really happened, but at the same time, stuff did happen, albeit small stuff. I gotta say before I start, though, I really feel for Gael. He just keeps getting pwnzd like there's no tomorrow.

Hah, Amador thinks he can be a bigshot: "Do what you want to me. I'm telling you nothing." Too bad Jack and Chase couldn't try some more info extraction, but I guess that was going nowhere. They had to move on to some new scenery, anyhow.

Nicole Duncan needs to get some Nicorette gum. All that smoking seems to be doing wonders with her voice. She's with NHS, for Pete's sake. I'm sure they can hook her up with some chew.

Wow, Palmer had some major verbal showdowns this ep. First, with Bangs: She's gonna blackmail him, now?! What the. Palmer's in deep maggot spunk if the authorities find him out. And did you see when Bangs left the room? Did you see the power glower they were giving each other? And to top it all off, Palmer slammed the door in her face. Ooh, the enmity.

Second, with Wayne: Okay, I was really, actually, seriously worried that they would come to blows this time. Wayne vs. Palmer ... You could virtually see the energy sparks between these two beasts as they were on the verge of duking it out like the HART BROTHERS.

Amador's a sneaky bastard, ain't he? First, he manages to pull a Houdini, and escape the clutches of Jack and Chase (I don't care if it was intentional on Jack's part. He still escaped), and then he pulls out his Everready-brand locksmith kit to bust his bonds loose. Man, is he prepped.

Margolis is a fruit, and he needs to get a looser jacket. The tightness of the one he wears currently makes him look like Igor. Not to mention his eyes. Freaky thangs.

The ending: Poor Gael. Man, the look on his face at the very end, in his little box. It was the exact same look that Mason gave his son, after John (that was his son's name, right?) asked him the first time, "Why is that?" That look's gonna haunt me for the rest of this season. Dang.

Saunders ... Doesn't the way he talk remind you of Captain Kirk? He's like a nerdy badguy or something. He doesn't seem all that badass really.

Memorable quotes from this hour:

Bangs: "I'm actually going to tell you the truth." Good Lord, it's a miracle.
Palmer: "Thank you."

Michelle: "The incubation period was supposed to be 14 hours! What did you do?!" B____slap then, "Tell me!!" Michelle just keeps getting more awesome every hour this season. *drools* I wish I was cuffed to that pipe. :p

Margolis: "Look, I know about the man in the storeroom. I know that something bad is in this hotel!" You bet, genius.

Palmer: "Now get out of my sight." You could feel the hatred in that one, people. Palmer's pissed.

Saunders is now the most poweful man in the world. If I was Palmer, evac all the important players, gather all the evidence and nuke LA. Amputate the city so the country can survive and Saunders gets what he deserves. Palmer made a huge mistake. This will probably rear its head four-five shows from now since Palmer is now busy with Saunders. Well done episode that has been sitting on the shelf for awhile

Kiefer said on Leno that the final two episodes will be filmed soon. If you saw the season two DVD they final two started pre-production on April Fool's Day. I'm avoiding all the spoilers I can. Except 'Next Week' preview.

I didn't think it was a slow episode. I like how they made the virus react quicker and gael started showing symptoms about ten minutes after contracting the virus.
I was a bit disapointed with the ending though. I was expecting to learn what saunders demands were as a cliffhanger.

Also, why was the clip of the helicopter shooting the building in the trailer when it wasn't in the episode????

Read this only if you have seen the first 16 episodes..it doesnt have spoilers about any later episode than that...I found this sort of preview on the official 24 website, it sounds amazing thought I'd post it here for all you fans :

“Fans can relax now - which means get more tensed up - knowing that "24" has gone into the last third of the season overdrive. No more time fillers like the first two-thirds, no more presidential mistress and who's-the-baby's-daddy. Daughter Kim (Elisha Cuthbert) is not (repeat: NOT) in distress. Next week's stunningly revelatory episode ties the current threat back into Jack's first-season nemesis, involves a foreign government, hints about a high- priced call girl ring and presents Jack with a truly unspeakable choice. No, really unspeakable. Really, really.

They jack up the stakes higher and higher, until by 7 a.m., things are truly nasty (truly, truly), and there's no end in sight. Guns blaze. Bombs explode. Bodies drop. Jack's jaw is more firmly set than ever. And Michelle's (Reiko Aylesworth) little curled hair strands still frame her face perfectly. Never mind that she's been up for 24 hours, she's running an ugly field operation, she's seen her husband shot and colleagues croak, and she's staring down death herself. For that matter, how's Jack holding up considering his own lack of sleep and, oh yeah, his smack addiction, remember that? When he countermands a superior "under the authority given me by the president of the United States," once again on that handy-dandy cell phone, how do his underlings even know Jack has that authority? And what about . . .

Never mind. There's a mass suicide in the offing. A president ordering evil to be done. And a crucial computer download. Hey, don't these guys' amazingly informative forensic computers ever hit the fritz like miiiine dosss xxzghgcb?#!!

24. Fox's nail-biting thriller returns for its final nine episodes of the season in killer form.”

Go check it out.To which you later replied to yourself, as no one had done so for you, saying that this information was "interesting and cool". Well, I found it so interesting that I decided I would keep an ear and an eye out for it if I ever happened to stumble across the episode again. I say you go check it out once more. The man on the other end of the line's name is Alan Optican (strange name) from the Department of Defense (DOD!! What.). As the writers barely plan episodes 6 shows in advance, I would find it surprising if they remembered something as small as a phonecall from the first season and manage to incorporate it into the third season. No, the only things that are remembered for future reference are dead people, sort of dead people, and not dead people.

Hey Boods, Ben Kingsley's an actor. There was a Kingsley in Season Two, and he was played by Tobin Bell (another actor, naturally), but this Kingsley's first name was Peter. But yeah, I did notice that the first time around, thought it was a little funny (maybe the bomb was Maureen Kingsley's attempt at revenge; getting one of her relatives to screw over Palmer and his administration, heh), but I knew it was just one of those things we like to call coincidence or just the fact some people do actually have the same surnames as other people ... Kinda like in real life.

Well, see 24 episodes of 24 has to be about the same thing since 24 episodes is 24 hours in the day. Not so many things happen in one day. You cannot have them try to defuse a bomb in one episode and the next episode they are flying to Canada. This is 24, not Alias.

here's what I think will happen : i put it in spoilers but its only my opinion, i havent read any spoilers i like to keep it surprising..
i didnt even see the preview on tv !!

firstly, sherry's story is over which is great, she should leave and palmer can now concentrate on saunders and his demands, saunders will probably make a demand at the beginning of the episode. meanwhile jack and chase could be the ones these demands involve or could just start looking for him. ctu could finally found who saunders is and where he stays and jack and chase would go there. or maybe one of his relations and they would interrogate him...at the hotel, michel will slightly regret shooting that guy but then everyone probably starts showing symptoms, i hope she doesnt, gael being the first one will probably die...NHS should arrive on site and start testing people or something i hope to find a cure..at ctu, tony should concentrate in coordinating what goes on in the hotel while chapelle will concentrate on saunders and with chloe, adam and kim try to locate him or something, trace an account find one of his colleagues who knows...i hope jack and chase are involved in some massive shoot out and palmer has some great moments

Arrested Development, 24 and occasionally That 70s Show are the ones I will watch. The Simpsons maybe. Hope the strike ends the once outstanding show. I don't want to get into a debate about the quality but c'mon.

Excellent episode. I had read the spoiler so I knew of Sauders' past. The MI6 shootout was well done. Chappelle will be in a body bag next week. He finally breaks (he has bent) the rules and look what happens. Jack pulling the bullet? Great twist who knows whats next. Palmer made a bold safety percaution who knows where that leads. I like that Saunders has the Kosovo Connection. Gael wasn't looking pretty. Michelle will probably end up not being infected but she could still die. Why is the President still in LA?

Just 7 more episodes of the season left!

Why?! Why am I such a nice person?!!? AARRRGGGHHH!!!!! I let some guy from my house play his stinkin' Wind Waker for the first 40 minutes of 24. From the way he was progressing, it didn't seem like he'd played the game before, so after watching him rummage around in the second dungeon for what seemed like ages, I said screw this, and politely told him that I wanted to see something on FOX for about 15 minutes. He agreed. Unfortunately, one of his friends decided to come in, and all throughout my viewing of what was left of the episode, they would not stop doing a running commentary on, like, everything; from the show itself to the commercials. Soooo stinkin' annoying. But what pisses me off the most is that he was playing the game on THE LOUNGE'S TELLY. WTBFeck?! Couldn't you play on your own television set? Honestly, that is the last time I allow someone to pull that on me. The only exceptions will be if someone is already in the room watching their show or some sporting event. Gagh! I'm so angry right now. <_<

I managed only to catch the episode just as "the sky was falling" on Jack and Chase while they were at MI6. Helicopter attack = aerial badass. It was like the writers were taking notes from Metal Gear Solid. But man alive, I haven't seen that much gunfire since Jack went Wyatt Earp and Bruce Lee on Victor and Andre Drazen and their goons. And this time, we had TWICE THE FIREPOWER! The DYNAMIC DUO of Jack and Chase just pwnz.

Apparently, Ryan Chappelle is "very good at following money trails". Oh man, when Saunders' minion said that to him, I was almost laughing. That line just sounded so stupid.

And why is the president still in Los Angeles? I hate the District set now. I feel so trapped whenever I'm watching Palmer and Wayne's scenes ...

Gael Ortega, I salute you. I never saw you die, but I know you suffered much pain before the end. You are just teh awesome. ETHNIC PSYCHO all the way. You will be missed.

Hmm, Saunders has an even larger terrorist organization working within Los Angeles than we originally expected? This could be a problem for our heroes ... By the way, what was his connection to Jack Bauer?

Let's hope Michelle won't need to administer all of those pills at Umbrella HQ--er, I mean Chandler Plaza, though. That would be mad mass suicide indeed.

There was so much action near the end of this ep, it makes me wonder how all-out crazy the finale's going to be. I can't wait! 24's got its balls back!

Memorable quotes from this hour:

The Money Trailer: "This goes against every regulation we have ... Do it." I smirked there. Not because it was funny--it wasn't--but because that's the first time Ryan's allowed something that big to happen without him or Division disallowing it first. This season's made me like Ryan now. I hope he doesn't die! :(

Good interview with Evan Katz, writer of 24 (http://www.northernstar.info/perspective/columns/greg_feltes_show/040604-2.asp)

The connection with Jack He was a part of the Nightfall Op six years ago. He was loaned to the US by the UK. Jack thought he died, and was presumed dead. Jack fiqures he was tortured for a few years and someone got out and now has this virus and wants to get back at the US. He does now seem to have a large operation and he might have a few other people funding it.

I realy like the episode! but what about next seasons? I mean, theres got to be a 4th and 5th at least, but, I think if Jack dies at the end of season 3 they could make like a prequel, I mean a 4th season in the past, but it can not be before season 1, remember jack said "And today, is the longest day of my life" so, the 4th season and / or 5th, they have to do it in 1---2 in between or 2--3 but not going as far like a day in Kosovo, but any ways if they do it it will still be great!!!

Idol" opened the night for Fox with an average of 22.7 million viewers and 9.7 rating/29 share in the adults 18-49 demographic, according to preliminary estimates from Nielsen Media Research. That was down slightly from last week's Tuesday installment but up 24% in total viewers from the comparable "Idol" episode this time last year. Fox's "24" (11.1 million, 4.9/13) rode "Idol's" coattails to easily win the 9 p.m. hour.

"Frasier" (10.1 million, 3.6/10), meanwhile, enjoyed a growth spurt from its 8:30 p.m. "Happy Family" lead-in (5.4 million, 1.8/5) to tie ABC's "According to Jim" (8.4 million, 3.6/10) for second place in adults 18-49 at 9 p.m..

That was an awesome episode! Although I was a bit surprised by the ending. My friend told me part of that, but I never suspected he wanted Chappelle dead. And just for curiosity's sake, isn't it impossible for the virus to show so quickly? Also, what's the point of a two hour test if they're all going to die in less than that time. Telling the dead body or a person who is clearly infected won't do much.

KayTang999
04-07-2004, 09:37 PM
It is possible if the alter the virus like Alvers did. I don't think they would test the one who are bleeding, just the one who is not showing symptom yet. So it could be possible that 2 hours test would be helpful.

anaria, the virus was altered by Marcus Alvers before he handed it off to Stephen Saunders. It now has an incubation period of half an hour or less if one is directly exposed to the virus, although I haven't yet determined the upper limit to that timeframe, as some people in Chandler Plaza have not (yet) been visibly affected by the virus.

My head exploded when they showed that scene in the 2002 preview.

Something already happened to Kim. She found out Gael's little secret place and then she tied him up thinking that uh here we go again. Kim's in trouble, mole in CTU, he's going to get caught after he kills her or not. Then they pull the curtain and we find out he's been helping Jack. Then Kim pretty much has had little arguements with Tony, Chole, and Chase.

Catshe, don't you have Sky? It's already on Sky One on Thursdays at 9pm and Sky One Mix on Saturdays at 9pm. I also get it on RTÉ on a Tuesday at 10pm, but prefer it on Sky. The next episode up is 10pm-11pm and I'm not too sure if the BBC will get the rights to it this year

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also I just read about a freakin death that I haven't even seen yet

I would be a little more pissed off if I knew what episode it was in but yet again I must ask for spoiler tags to be used for those of us who haven't got the chance to see it at the same time as those in the US

North American viewers are 8 episodes ahead of the UK viewers after that 5 week break. Sorry for whatever spoiler you read, but for 2.5 years there was no problem with spoilers and now it's basically just you who pop ins and reads our discussion and speculation. Hate to be an ass but maybe you should just scroll down and hit post reply.

It is really hard not to spoiler when everything that is going on 24 is too exciting to remember to put it in the spoiler tag, but I will keep in mind. Sorry sphericthor.

Fair enough, but maybe I like to read what other people think of the show etc I know you don't want to sound mean but I can't take it any other way. The impression I'm getting is that you're basically telling me not to come in here and I don't like to be told what to do. Hell if I was here for the last 2.5 years I would've been in and I would still do the same thing I'm doing now. But when someone just comes out with "I can't believe it, ***********'s dead" I'm sure you can see where I'm coming from and it was at the top of the page so it's hard to miss.

I think sometime it is good to put thing in spoiler tag because you know some US people who haven't seen the eps might not want to know too, not just people from other countries.

I didn't tell you what to do. I just gave you a suggestion. If you were here for the last 2.5 years then the entire thread (no spoilers) would be blacked out, bc we would be used to the custom of putting the spoiler tag for spoilers and speculation. We used it in the past but not that much.
(actual spoiler)
Chappelle isn't dead, and that post about the character on the previous post was the 8th post and 1/3 down of the way down.
It wasn't the very first line in the very first post. I've used spoiler tag since you first mentioned it,

I'm just saying not everyone thinks oh wait someone in the UK is 9 episodes back, (especially when making predictions) i'm going to use the tag. I undertand your situation. I found out some The Office Xmas special spoilers the same way, but I wasn't upset since for a comedy it didn't bother me that much, as long as the jokes aren't spoiled.

I think from now on may be we should put everything in spoiler, just in case.

I appreciate that and I never wanted this to get a little off topic. I never said that it was you and maybe I should just have my own thread for viewers in the UK but then again someone would come and point out that we already have a thread about the subject etc. Basically no matter what I do, I can't win.......... but I know what you're saying about the fact that most people don't think about things before doing it.

Kaytang you shouldn't worry about it either, I was just a little bit annoyed and I was only out of bed. If this all came to me now, I wouldn't have reacted the same way. If we can lets drop this right now and get back to talking about the best drama on TV

NEW ALERT!!!

http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve_main/...7470|1|,00.html

24 will be on at the same time with Alias!!! Well, you better plan your sunday night now!!!

I am screw!!!

Well that sucks since we have to wait 5 more days but next week we woudn't have to wait so long. 24 was building on the ratings so this only hurts 24. Interesting to see how it performs since many 24 fans thought a move to Sunday night for season two would help.

Maybe Global in Canada will still air the episode on Tuesday?!!

It will be up against

NBC > Law & Order CI
ABC > Alias
CBS > Along Came A Spider (movie)
HBO > The Sopranos

KayTang999

My concern is not Alias since I have been talking to many Alias watchers and they said they watch 24 instead of Alias, not sure about Law & Order CI. CBS movie, well I am assuming many would have seen it already. The Sopranos is on HBO, is that even count?

If people have HBO and they don't watch Fox that night yeah. They get well over 8 million viewers a night and I'm sure there are those who watch 24. However The Sopranos reairs during the week numerous times. Alias and 24 basically target the same viewers but I would think they would watch 24 since 24 is on the ups and Alias is just starting to regain. CI usually wins its timeslot and Along Came a Spider is a thriller but people would probably want to watch a new 24.

The problem is getting the message out.

You know the creator of Wonderfalls said not to bother trying to save the show.

KayTang999
04-13-2004, 12:10 AM
Tim did say that but the 2 creators are trying to get the show on other network, and WB is our hope. The show is too good to get butchered like that. I am still 100% bitter about it.

From zap2it.com about the upcoming episode.

Alan Dale is a busy man for FOX. He's proposing to Julie on "The O.C." and reappearing as the vice president on "24." As "24" continues to race towards the end of the season, this missing hotel guest is going to present quite a problem. Don't forget there's another death this week.

I heard they are going to hit the west coast, do you think they will go with that plot? I don't think they would because it will disrupt the time different.
