So there's been more action for those scenes behind the camera then in the actual show !!!!!!!! lol The thing is that I don't think that the wildcat is gone, he should have "smelled" her or "sensed" her cause if I remember, she was bleeding a little or had been and now it stopped but the wildcat should've still been able to sense something... Anyway, I think that she's in a lot of trouble if its not gone...

Anyone saw the preview fot tonight ??? What do you think Sayed Ali will do when he sees his son a TV monitor Jack's showing him ??? Jack tells him they will do anything that it takes to find tha bomb. I think he will talk... I don't think that he will let his son die but then again with 24, we never know !!!! Looks to be another great apisode tonight.

It's a new twist every time I see it. The only loose end so far is Sherry Palmer, but maybe they'll make her character work. It shows promise.

I literallly was holding my breath when I was watching the scenes with Ali's son being "killed". When Ali was willing at first to let his family die, I was just thinking about all the things going on in the world now, and that there are really people who think that way, believing so much they are doing what their religion wants them to that they will die for it. Granted this show is fiction, but it's hitting really close to home.

Hard to say. They still have around half of the 24 hours to go. They might get to the bomb, and have to find a way to disarm it. They might have to catch the plane in the air. Could be anything.
From the looks of the preview for next week, those rogue American soldiers will come back into the picture. I'm guessing they'll slow Jack's rush to get to the bomb before it detonates.
Also, it looks like Kim might have a new version of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" or "Deliverance" to look forward to, if the kinda creepy woodsman guy turns out to be as menacing as I think they'll make him.

I agree with you and on 24... everything is possible... even kiiling Kim but not so soon in the season but eventually if they don't find something good to do with her, this could happen. IMO, if there's a third season, I would be surprise to see Kim die. It would be too much for Jack !!!! He would go insane !!!!!

I was thinking about the episode and I still can't believe that Syad Ali let one of his kids die (acording to him) while being interogated buy Jack, I was like OMFG !!!!! I was strarting to guess if he would go all the way and say nothing.

Also, I don't remember what was in Ali's mouth that was so important that cause Jack to almost loose some fingers to go get it?? Anybody can help me with that ??

Best show of the season. 13 of 24. Not bc of the Kim/shirt thing.... but everything was great. We learned more about the bomb and then thought okay it's a done deal. Then we found out what the 7th member did. Once they showed the van it was pretty obvious that the nuke wasn't on the plane, but they did their best to make you think that. Shame that Mason won't be hanging around CTU for much longer. Only 11 more shows left, who'll survive? And when will Nina return?

The network will also bring back "24" for a third season. The program was more of a critical darling than a ratings success last season, but it's shown dramatic improvement the second time around, benefitting from the early fall release of the Season One DVDs and from a season premiere that was presented by Ford without commercial interruption.

Recently, "24" has received a bump from its new lead-in the second season of "American Idol." For the year, "24" is averaging a 6.7 rating and over 11 million viewers per episode, both numbers greatly improved over last year at this time.

While inevitable plot twists prevent FOX executives from discussing either which characters will return next year or what the main crisis will be, they promise that the show will retain its unique 24 hour format.


Well with season 2 most likely to find it's way on DVD and with American Idol the ratings for the third season have to be higher. I haven't read any of the rumour/spoilers about how the ending of season two will effect season three. I remember when there was a time when Fox wanted to get rid of the 24 hour format, and only do three episode story arcs. Good to see my show back, but will it top this season?

I wouldn't say so. Keifer has said in interviews that the format is the star of the show, and no one is off limits from dying. That includes him. :eek:

I agree with you but between you and me, I wouldn't kill him cause IMO, he's in part, responsable for the success of the show. I think that I read the same article and if I'm not mistaken, it was Keifer who was interviewed so he may have said it but maybe the producors of the show think otherwise ???

Great show, with emotional scenes topped with a interesting preview of a show that won't be on til the 25th! Worth the wait anyway.

Has to be in the top five best 24 episodes. To actually detonate a nuke before the season is done is something. Jack and Kim's goodbye conversation... it got to me. I don't know why it just did. That rarely happens. My boy Mason goes down in a blaze of glory. Fine way to send this character away. It'll be different knowing he's gone and no chance of coming back. The three countries supporting this subsplot looks to be good. And with the preview, it will get even better. It has to be the missing 7th member who has the info. So now Jack has to get the info or somtething. Great way to show the fallout and blast. Great episode of television.

What are they going to do next? I'll watch.

Wow, it was so awesome that I can't even know where to start !!!

I was so surprised when they said that the bomb would go off in 55 minutes...and right after that, they showed the time on screen and it was 10: 05 and some seconds so I realised that it was gonna blow up either at the end of this one or at the begenning of the next one. Now that it went off, I wonder what's gonna happen cause there almost half the season still to go.

On the Kim story... I tought they were going somewhere when the nice lady picked her up for the ride but after talking to her dad, she just got off and went nowhere !!!!!! I'm glad though that she didn't hesitate to use the gun with the guy that wanted to pick her up.

I'm sure that something will happen at CTU with the immigrant that just arrive to "help" them. He's to noisy and Tony, IMO does the right thing by not giving him to much info.

I didn't see the preview for the next one, could someone explain what they showed please ???

Yeah, I new it... after Tony said "We Americans what... ?" The Arab guy only said something like "nothing" like a big coward !!!

They played us real good with Jack and the bomb... at first, I knew he wouldn't die but after his conversation with Mason, seeing that he still wanted to fly the plane, I was starting to question myself. Later on, when, in the plane, I started the accept the fact that Jack wouldn't make it till the end of this episode... and right at the last moment possible, they took the rabbit out of the hat and here comes Mason to save the day. I'd completely forgot about him after his conversation with Bauer.

IMO, Jack would be much too close to the blast to survive... when he jumped, there was only 5 minutes left and by the time he got to the ground, I think that Mason had allready started to dive with the plane. On the other hand, I never saw one survived one either so I couldn't know if he was far enough !!!

Absolutely, but when the bomb exploded, we hadn't seen it yet (helicopter)

It was written that Kiefer as accepted a new contract for the TV show 24 that would give him 20$ Millions !!!!!! No, no, you're not halucinating... that's the right amount !!!!! Now, here where it gets interesting... he signed for 6 more years so it would give him 100 000$ per episode.

Ok, so if its true, that means that the best show in TV for the next 6 years will probably be 24 but now we know that nothing could happen to Jack Bauer !!!!! Unless there's a close in the contract that allows them to kill him after a while...

That's crap. This isn't The Simpsons. They aren't the kind of producers. If they were they would've given into Fox about changing the format of the show. So the show won't go on for another six seasons. Season Eight! Jack in Space! Plus 24 isn't in the Top 10 ratings wise so I don't see how Sutherland can demand that kind of money. Also do the math. 24 shows a season, 6 seasons x $100,000 per show does not = $20 million.

Season One came out in late September, so I'm expecting it to come out in Late September, Early October. Also it'll be before the third season starts since Fox wants to once again get more viewers interested in the show.

Who knows what ladies do in the washroom. I thought Jack's helicopter ride was too quick. Kim's storyline was alright until the store owner was shot. That character [kim] is the cancer of this show.

The man on the phone was the 7th Member of the Coral Snakes. A tattoo on his arm matched those seen throughout the season on the men that tried to kill Jack and Nina and on the dead bodies found at the airfield that were going to stop the bomb. So essentially you have some rogue men in the American Government who want this war and will do everything possible.

Who would've thought we would see Jack and Tony fight? Also enjoyed the previews for Phone Booth that played twice. This story arc should bring us to about 6AM, so then we've got 2 hours after that.

About Kim and the bathroom (10 minutes), don't forget that she still thought her dad died in that explosion and didn't have any other near places where she could go. At first, I thought that the big creepy liquor store owner was gonna try something on her til the crazy dude started chaos. She should have shot the crazy dude in the knee or something when he took the gun to scare him or get out of his way but she just stood there while he took it !!!! That's my only complaint about her this episode.

Why the 7th member wants Kate. ??? :confused:

I never saw that coming and was totally surprised to see Tony telling Jack to get the f**k out of CTU. :eek: Well, not like that but almost !!!!!! IMO, in the couple next episodes, we will see Jack and Michele vs Tony and Carrie. Tony should be in a bad mood and bad shape cause he took a rough fall and something broke like his ankle or something + Jack totally went against him and even hit him before fleeing with Kate. Kate will probably be really scared when she sees what Jack is doing with her (for now, she looks to be some exchange money from Jack to the soldier.)

I don't think that Tony is a mole/vilain/bad guy kind of person, then again, I didn't think he would do what he did to Jack last night !!!

yeah, i don't thinkj tony is bad, i think he just didn't want kate to leave CTU (afterall she still had a few hours of questioning to go)

tony just wants to solve this case through investigation, where as jack wants to solve it through action, all tony was doing was protecting his investigation

and did tony brake his ankle, because after jack hit him it showed his leg/foot very quickly, but i don't know if that was just bad editing or if they were trying to emphasize that he had hurt his leg or foot

and as for the kim story, it was pretty good last night but overall this season it has been the only bad part of 24. if they try and make us think she is going to be kidnapped or raped one more time i'm gonna scream (in the past 4 eps we have been made to think several times it was going to happen - the cabin wierdo, the dude in the car, the chick who picked her up, and then last night the store owner)

I believe the actor injured himself, so they wrote his injury into the script. I remember at the Golden Globes or some awards show he had crutches.

I thought the kim story at the mini mart was pretty good cuz it showed the general public's reaction to the bomb and how the situation can get out of hand (someone trying to get some supplies ends up killing a man). It foreshadowed what may come like rioting and mass hysteria.

I think they dislike each other because they fought over the same guy or something. Remember the guy Michelle talked to on the phone, Danny? She said she's sorry that she wasn't allowed to tell anyone about the bomb and that as far as she knows it is safe to stay in L.A. He asked her "Don't you care about the "kids ?" She says of course i do and i'll come over tomorrow. He also calls Carrie a b***h. Either she's secretly dating this guy (sucks for Tony) or he's some kind of relative, like a brother, that has issues with Carrie as well. We'll find out soon enough...only 8 episodes to go!

The last 30 minutes of 24 really picked up the pace. Hopefully Kim can stay out of trouble for six more hours. Yusef (sp) has become a favourite of mine. Chances are he'll find his way into a body bag. Loved the ending, thinking how the hell is Jack going to find this chip? Best part of the show was when Jack told the nurse off with his gun.

I dispised the commerical Fox was using to lure AI viewers to 24. A Michelle Branch song, implying Jack and Kate are lovers? Would you see Vic Mackey accompanied by that song?

I may repeat myself but WOW !!!! IMO, it was the best episode so far in both seasons... even on the Kim side !!!! It started and finished with the best story, Jack's story... on that part, I tought they were going to let us think and search for the chip til next week but maybe they have a different surprise for us !!! I agree, the chip removal was gross and well done.

I also agree on the advertising... man, hope they change they're format for the next weeks.

For Miguel, they made it better than I thought... I was seeing him without any legs at all before they showed him completely.

Well they've done some different advertising. Last season I remember they showed the clip where Jack was going to force down the towel down one of the Drazen's lackeys telling that him that he'll let the towel be digested and then pull out the towel thus taking his intestines with him. Narrator spoke of Jack being a different kind of hero.

Well the promo Fox was airing was much better than last week's and the twist and "he's dead!" were great ways to bring you in and not spoil it. Who's dead, they can't kill Jack they have five more shows.

Mike's suprise was well done. Will Palmer be President next season? Didn't like the soap opera at CTU. Finally we see Chapelle. Looks like next week he'll be running things at CTU. Jack's breaking point is Kim. Put her in danger and he would've talked. Of course he'll be brought back to life early on the next episode but what they do with him next is anybody's guess. Terrific show, one of the best of the season in terms of suspense I can't wait another week.

And when Jack was vomiting all over the floor, both my roommate and I just turned our heads as fast as we could. I don't think the doctor gave him the poison because before the doctor inserted the dosage they exchanged a particular look that sealed their "agreement" that they had talked about. Then Jack faked the suffocation feeling. Plus if he had received it he would have died within 15 min cuz, even though we like to believe it, he isn't invincible.

That's what alot of shows would do, but since each hour in "24" is so important in the storytelling, I doubt they'll seperate from what works. I think the last hour will be just that- the last HOUR.

Fantastic show! No real action, except for the start but it wasn't needed. The Trial of Palmer - great stuff from the writers. Palmer's line to Mike was one of the best. Kim returns and it looks like Gary will be at the house. Hopefully that only takes one episode and wrap that up and keep Kim out of trouble. I think the writers realize they've put her through too much and probably won't be seen much next season.

It said Palmer will be able to appeal to Congress so he could return next season as the President. Chapelle that *******. Then Sherry at the end. Did not see that coming.

Or late October. Season Two's premeire wasn't a full hour but I believe 56 minutes long with two minutes at the start and end for Ford commericals since it was presented by Ford. Wasn't like the Alias deal awhile back. Then Fox aired the show on a Monday with commericals, since girls club was cancelled, the second episode of 24 hadn't aired yet so Fox tried to get as many new viewers.

Sorry everyone about my posts yesterday... Kept the pace up, Tony seems to be acting like Jack more and more. So we've got Caspian Sea oil guys instead of Texas oil guys behind the plan. Something will give next episode. The Alex thing should be wrapped up and Palmer can't stay in that room (nice room) for the next two hours.

In the preview, it looks like Kim is still in shock and doesn't respond well when Kate arrives to get her. Then they show Jack crouch through some dark passage trying to find the progammer. Next shot, we see them on the roof (and the progammer's now toting a gun) and Jack tells him that if he tries to shoot him, he will also have to shoot "and he won't miss." Then he hear a shot as the screen shows 24: The Final Truth


And to think I actually wasn't going to watch this show when it started, out of fear of getting hooked on yet another show.

This episode was really good...

Kim going nuts, Jack and Sherri's car crashed, the computer geek died, the copter got turned away, Palmer still trying to go back to presidency, Tony and Michele in custody and Carrie working more and more with Chappelle...

WOW, a lot happenned in this episode, I wonder how Jack and Sherri will be able to make it to meet Kingsley... who's not stupid at all btw, he allready knows that something fishy is going on !!!!!

I didn't find it boring, I wanted the commericals to be over so I could watch some more. I just thought we only had one real cliffhanger. Jack and Sherri's.

Tony and Michelle were locked up. Palmer was still stuck. Kate and Kim seemed safe driving. Kingsley just killed that woman. Chapelle and Hammond had things under control. Alex was dead. Prescott and Mike were satisfied with what Palmer did. Those stories seemed to be done.

Last year there was Kim escaping, Jack driving to the Drazen's, Palmer's situation with Sherri, and last but not least Nina being revealed to be the mole.

But its 24. Even though the previews didn't show much I know they're going to pull out all the stops. Kate's sister returns for a brief scene and I think the meeting with Kingsley will be action packed.

I'm really worried about tonight's episode. There's just soo much that hasn't been resolved yet. David isn't president; Jack, Michelle, and Tony have basically lost their jobs; david doesn't know about sherri's part; no one believes that the recordings were forged; bombs are about to be dropped on innocent countries; and whatever happened to Lynne?!
Oh and i'm still iffy on what the first half of the season has to do with more recent stuff- like what Syed Ali 's motives were and if he was working with or against kingsley. Can anybody help me out? I'm so confused.

Anyway, i guess if some of the characters are returning next season it will be more of a continuous show where everything doesn't have to have closure right away.

It's kinda funny how the bomb being stopped seemed like it would be the climax of the show. I thought "what else could they possibly do? It's over." How wrong i was! Now i know that that definitely wasn't the case and i hope this last episode doesn't disappoint.

The scenes at the LA Coliseum were awesome. So much suspense and nail biter.

Now the guy on the boat said that the war will start today even though the other one said it will not because they found the recordings. "Trust me, there will be a war today."

Funny thing is I read that Mandy was sighted during filming but I totally forgot, and mouth dropped and smiled when Mandy showed up. When it was just the back of her, I didn't know who it was. Then there was what she did. Ouch!

So is Prescott dirty? Mike got the boot, Tony and Chapelle were great. Kim was kept quiet for the most part.

Last season I would've been satisfied with only one season of 24. But the ending was great and made you want to see what would happen for the next season. Same with this ending. Loved the location of the sting operation.

The sting operation and then the escape were intense. Anyway hats off to the writers. I'll surely get the DVD sometime this year and will be there when the show premieres in late October.

Well most of the characters probably awoke between 6 and 7:30 am. So at the 1-2AM mark you would you see characters tired but with all that happened I don't think people would nod off.

So are we all in agreement that Palmer died? I think we've seen the last of him, which sucks. If this plan of their's needed to be done, whatever the chemical was it's going to kill him. We did hear is hear beating because he was still alive at that time. Terri last season was already dead.

This was a great ending (I just watched the taped episode)

I'm sad that Palmer is gone, but that just goes to show you that any character is expendible.
Which brings me to Kim. Not that I didn't enjoy her storyline (especially when her boyfriend looked down for the count, but got up to spin kick that abusive father), but the situations that she gets into will soon become unbelievable (what next, will she be working at a mcdonald's that gets held up? and have to interupt her father saving the world once again.)
I hope the shooting matures her and she goes off and becomes a cop against her father's wishes, or something like that. At least that way she can be involved in a more believable way.

I don't think that Palmer's dead, maybe paralized... as soon as I saw Palmer talking to the crowd, I new he would get it... but I thought a sniper would finish him. At first, I thought that the girl was Kate's sister cause I knew I've seen her somewhere but had forgot all about the girl in season 1 !!!!

About the fact that they didn't look like they were tired... like someone else said, Jack had more important problems to even have the chance of being tired... his heart, Kim and everything else that happenned on that day. If i'm not mistaken, Jack didn't really have the time like in season 1 (where he was hiding in the office of the construction area with the waitress). I mean, he was always doing something... personally, even if I'm really tired, as long as I'm occupied, I'm ok but as soon as I sit down and do nothing, I'll fall asleep.

Anyone knows who that young dude on the boat was ??? Looks like he'll be the "villain" in season 3.

If you can, try to rent or buy Season 1. It is worth it. Mandy came out in the first 3 episodes of season1. If you would of seen it you would have jumped off your sofa because this is the first time we see her since.. The guy on the boat is new. Looks like he will be on a lot in Season 3.

I would suggest buying the set. I finally bought it three weeks ago. Anyway, Mandy returning is like CSM or Krycek appearing on The X-Files. I have a feeling these boat men and Mandy won't be the villains to start out with for season threee.

I was so pissed when Palmer went down. I had actually gotten so into the character that I was cheering for him during his speech. So stoic.

But that's the beauty of the show, everyone's expendable. The show's producers and writers have a lot of guts doing that.

It'd be pretty gutless to only injure him after that ending, so I'm feeling really conflicted as to whether Palmer should be dead or not. Great show. The colliseum rocked.

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - The assassination attempt on President David Palmer (Dennis Haysbert) on Tuesday's season finale of "24" served more than one purpose.

That's all that FOX executives are saying at this point. Something about not ruining next season is behind their refusal to reveal more.

"I can confirm for you that an attempt at assassination has been made on the president, and we don't know what will happen," FOX Entertainment President Gail Berman told reporters Wednesday (May 21) about the cliffhanger ending.

FOX Chairman Sandy Grushow offers this helpful hint:"The only thing we can tell you is that Palmer will not win 'American Idol.'"

After one of the men behind this season's nuclear-bomb plot was taken out in the finale, a mysterious, European-accented guy on a boat phoned in Plan B. As the show closed, beautiful assassin Mandy (Mia Kirshner) -- unseen since the third episode of Season 1 -- shook Palmer's hand and apparently passed some nasty biological agent on to him via a plastic covering on her hand.

Berman does allow that the attempted assassination probably won't be "the driving force" behind next season, but it does fit in somewhere. Mandy's reappearance was also a nod to loyal viewers of "24."

"To bring her back as the person involved in the assassination attempt last night was a huge, big deal for fans of the show. It was a tip of the hat to loyal viewers," Berman says. "It also has to do with the story, but I'm not going to go there."

The real-world question of whether Haysbert will return to the show is up in the air. At the moment, Kiefer Sutherland is the only regular locked into a deal for next season.

I didn't even reconize that that was Mia Kirshner. She's an awesome actress and anyone who's a fan of hers has to see her in Exotica. You shant be dispointed. ;)
